These shoes are awesome. They are so great that I bought 2 in different colors. I had an issue with the first pair because I ordered the wrong size. Zappos sent out a new one within 2 days and I sent back the other pair after 2 weeks. My bad, but they were cool. I am definitely buying all my shoes and sneakers from Zappos from now on.

The shoes are comfortable and look good. I will buy them in black. Haven't tested how waterproof they are, however, as the rainy season is just starting.

Very comfortable shoes. Fit perfectly and keeps feet warmer than similar shoes. Only negative I would have is finding replacement laces. Any replacements I've found have been too thin.

Great shoes. Fit me like a glove. Didn\'t even need to break them in. Already bought another pair in the other color. Can walk all day in them and have no problems, but that\'s just me.

My husband has really painful knees and wears suits to work. The leather soles on his dress shoes provided little cushion and were making his knees worse. Someone told him to try Rockports, but I was skeptical that Rockports would look professional with his suits. Was I ever wrong! These look as good as the $300 dress shoes and have great support and cushioning. They are so nice that he can even wear them with his tux. They run true to size and he reports that they make a huge difference in his feet and knees. Great buy!

I have had 3 pairs of Rockports. The other two pairs were very comfortable. These shoes hurt. After wearing these shoes for 2 weeks off and on, they still hurt. I was hoping that I would break them in, but they are still not acceptable.

Tried to go to a more stylish look with the Ellingwood. The Northfields were my shoe of choice, but they don't look as good as the Ellingwood. That was a mistake. Wore them once and they already look 4 months old. They are a nice dress shoe, but if you work on anything other than carpet and walk a lot a work, i would stick to the Northfield. Still nothing comes close to Rockports...

9B Rockports from the shoe store had fit me before, so I decided to try Zappos. I like these shoes, look and fit. Took a little breaking in -- four or five wearings for my right little toe to feel really comfortable. Good now, especially with thicker socks. I liked them enough to buy the oxbloods, too, with similar results. (At least one of them does a pretty good job at leaving rubber scuffs on my linoleum, though.) Zappos' service was quick.

My husband needed a pair of dress shoes for a business trip. He liked the style of the Rockport Ellingwood but could not find it in a wide width. I searched for it on Zappos and found they had only one pair left in his size. The order was received speedily and the fit was perfect. The Zappos site sure beats running from store to store and wasting time and energy.

These shoes are exactly what I expected. Zappos was prompt and accurate in getting my order to me. They even upgraded me to next day shipping for free, without me asking. I have a pair of these Rockport shoes in Cordovan that I bought from Macy's. Zappos had a lower price on them, and didn't have to pay sales tax!

These shoes are very comfortable and the "wide" size is far roomier and more comfortable than the regular width. Good quality and good value. Zappo\'s service was excellent and they arrived in one day with expediated shipping. I could not find these in "wide" in any local stores and they were readily available at Zappos.

After 3 months of wearing about 3 times a week, they are still a little tight across my toes, top of feet. Soles wear fast (the tread) I only wear them on carpet at the office. That's disappointing.

Shoes came as ordered. I ended up with 2 pair; the first pair I got the back of the heel split. Zappos replaced it w/o any problems. Great customer service. The shoes were the right size and fit perfectly. No complaints so far with the second pair. They were as advertised.

The shoe does not fit as well as I had hoped. While the 4E front of the shoe fits well, there appears to be too much room in the heel area and I have a sloppiness with the shoe going up and down at the heel. Tightening the laces helps; however, you tend to cut off the circulation to your foot. The shoes are not manufactured in the United States and you wonder where they get their statistics for proportioning the shoe. The shoe is also very plain in styling. Had there been something more in line with a traditional oxford, I would have chosen it over this style.

Not up to Rockport standards -
I have been sold on the Rockport brand for years, but this pair is kinda cheap looking. I dress in black shoes every day for work, so a dressy look is important for me, these are a bit more casual; they are branded as a waterproof shoe, I was not aware of this when I ordered them. They will be good on the rainy days!

Nice shoes for walking -
After trying several other brands (Johnson and Murphy being the priciest), I returned to Rockports. I am a big guy and have had issues with comfortable shoes. These shoes have style and comfort. I wore them around the house for a total of 4 hours before wearing them for a seminar. Excellent comfort and great looks! I have high insteps and high arches and these are very comfortable. I admit I have not tried them with my orthotics, but I can say I am well pleased with these and will look to Rockports in the future.

Excellent shoe. Took a few wears to break-in, but now they fit like a glove. The smooth waterproof leather polishes to a bright shine. I love rubber-soled shoes and would buy these any day over more expensive leather-soled shoes.

Great Shoe!
I really love these shoes. This is my second pair (I had my last pair for almost three years and wore them a lot!). They can be worn with anything from jeans to my tuxedo, and are very comfortable and durable.

Sound like hollow heels.
I walk on concrete and pavement, I'm a car salesman. I have to wear orthotics in my shoe and wear a narrow size. For a while I've been wearing a Red Wing walking shoe for comfort. But they never did take on a really dressy appearance. So I'm experimenting with different shoes now for comfort, appearance, and for durability. When I walk I can hear the heels, it sounds like they are hollow. It really takes away from the shoe. I think in the future I'll look for a rubber bottom. Any suggestions??????

Rockport Ellingwood - Narrow Width -
I wear an 11B and normally have trouble finding shoes that don't feel too wide. But these actually felt narrower than B and too tight when I first tried them on. And, possibly because of the cap toe, they don't flex very well and require some break in. I'm just starting to get them broken in, so don't know how the long term comfort or wear are going to be yet. This is the last of several different Rockport models I tried - had to send all but these back because of sizing that was way off from how they were marked and described. Very disappointed in Rockport quality control these days.

Took a day or two, because of my feet, not the shoes, but they are very comfortable. They look great. And they cover up my feet.
And, I like the way Zappos does business.

Another Purchase -
I buy all my shoes from Zappos. This is just one more purchase. When my shoes arrive, I know the Rockports will fit just right. I wear orthotics in my shoes and these have served me well for over 25 years of buying Rockport shoes. Buying from Zappos makes it very easy. The service is great.

I was born with two club feet and while I have done my share of dancing, hiking, and generally having fun with feet that work okay, the many operations left them rather unpretty, a little misshapen and definitely wider/shorter than most feet in proportion to the carrying bodies. Finding shoes that fit and are comfortable is a rarity for me. I search through stores regularly, more often than not
leaving empty handed. I took a chance with Zappos. There were some excellent deals and the size claimed to be what I might need. A box arrived. It said "Packed with Happiness." Inside was my order – 4 pairs of shoes and a pair of boots. They not only all fit, they all fit amazingly well. The box may very well have been packed with happiness, but let me tell you, not as much happiness as it was opened with!!! Thank you oh so much. You can't imagine what this is for me.
