Great first Birkenstock sandal!
This is my first Birkenstock and I was a little nervous at first to be spending so much, but now I realize it was an investment. At first they felt stiff and heavy, but the more I wore them (after a few hours) the more they felt like they were softening up and almost molding to my feet. I have an average width foot and the regular was perfect. If you wear an 8 - 8 1/2 sandal, then order a 39. Hope this was helpful! Also the antique blue nubuck is really nice. Would probably even go with dressier clothing. It is almost dark gray (great neutral).

I just received these today. I ordered the polar blue, they are so pretty and feminine looking. I think this is my new favorite Birkenstock. Of course they are comfortable as well. I won’t wear any other brand of sandals.

I just ordered these sandals (in black patent) for my winter house shoes so I can wear socks with them. They are the BEST for support and comfort and love the patent look. They'll be cute outside in the summer too.

Beautiful Black Patent -
This is my 18th pair of Birkenstocks. I purchased this pair to go with dresses and pantsuits. They are beautiful! I highly recommend this shoe. Had painful feet sores (plantar warts) until I started wearing Birkenstocks. I am a diabetic and these shoes are perfect. Great for people looking for wide widths also.

Happy with my Birkenstocks -
I am very happy with my new Birkenstock Sydneys. I have "fallen arches" and need the arch support. Few sandals have the support. I had a pair of Milanos (?) with a back strap for 16 years - repaired once. I thought I wanted something a bit more feminine and the Sydneys are just right.

I have other Birks, so I know they feel great. I just had knee surgery and wanted something with plenty of arch support. This is a great shoe for support! The pearlized leather strap is attractive too. I normally wear a wide shoe, and the regular width had room to spare.
This is my favorite sandal.

Helped my poor aching feet!
After having my 3rd baby and walking around in summer shoes without arch support my feet were taking a tole. I had a pair of Birkenstocks in the late 90's which I loved so much I wore out but never replaced and I decided to give them another shot. After placing my order with Zappos I received my new Birks the next day. I immediately put them on and instantly felt relief from the supportive footbed. The shoes took about 1 week to break in (my arch was a little red from the material of the footbed). I usually wear a 9 1/2 - 10 and size 42 works perfectly for me.

Birk Sydney -
I bought these sandals to replace my Birk Arizona’s, which were destroyed by my dog and were the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I wore them almost exclusively last summer. The Arizona wasn't available in my size and color, so I got the Sydney. Actually the style is a little more feminine and flattering than the Arizona, just as comfy, and I expect will hold up just as well. I have wide feet, and these shoes are a blessing for my feet. I also highly recommend Finn Comfort shoes and sandals.

Comfy and cute as the Orlando -
I've worn the Birkenstock Orlando for over ten years (literally: I wore out one pair) and am very partial to that style. They are super comfortable and adjustable and the straps look nicer than the Florida - the other triple strap. The Sydneys are my new second favorite: nicely adjustable with a secure fit at the ankle and a pretty shape to the straps. Wish they came in brighter colors.

Sydney Sandals -
These sandals are very comfortable and breathe well too. I have the Arizona (wide 2 strap) and the Florida (thin 3 strap) but this sandal has just enough stability and lots of comfort. I really like the distance between the straps.

Love my Birkies!
I've worn Birkenstocks for years and have never had a misfit or a bad shoe. Love the support and the weight. Not a dressy shoe, but very comfortable. I live in them in the summer (or would if my boss would let me.)

Dressy Birk -
I ordered this in the "pearl" metallic blue color and it looks dressier than regular Birkenstocks. Very sharp look.
The straps aren't as soft right from the start as their suede or nubuck versions, but in time that will be just perfect.

A slightly different look -
White/pearl color great for summer. They are breaking in nicely - almost there. Birks need a bit to conform to your feet and are a bit like wearing a board until then - but well worth the wait. They fit like my Arizonas and my Florida - but I like it that they look a bit different. Straps a bit shorter than others but work great.

Clumsy looking but comfortable -
I needed a sandal that would provide support for my fallen arches and the heel pain it has caused. These sandals would not be my pick for a fashionable look but it is a comfortable sandal once it is broken in (which took about 2 weeks).

The Pearl Sydney is not just great looking. It is one of the most comfortable Birks I own. The color dresses up the shoe a lot.

The Sidney is my favorite Birkenstock. After trying several styles, I have found these shoes to be perfect. They are extremely comfortable AND they are so good looking. Due to numerous sports injuries I need my Birkenstocks. They never disappoint.
In this part of Arkansas the main shoe outlets are the feed store & Wal-Mart. Thanks to Zappos I can have my Birkenstocks without a 120 mile to the nearest Birkenstock store.

I have this shoe in pearlized blue. It is just as comfortable as the classic Arizona, but much more feminine looking. Be sure to follow Zappos instructions on width so you select the correct one.

I am flat footed. This shoes has excellent arch support. Also its leather is too hard. It may take sometime to break in or in the process may cause blister unless I have to wear socks with it first.

I own many pairs of "Arizona" Birkenstocks, but needed a vacation shoe for Vegas in July. I got the Sydney in pearl white, and it is just WONDERFUL!!! It has a more feminine summery look to it, and is more stylish than the Arizona. The top strap fits up a little higher on the foot than the Arizona, so that took a few days to get adjusted to. The footbed is exactly as my other Birkenstocks, and it only took a few hours to break in. The pearl white is a little bit cream color, not bright white. I'll be ordering these again, in different colors. The straps were a bit shorter than average, but still fit fine. Excellent shoe all around.

Best sandals for walking -
This is a great sandal and feels so good on your feet, as someone who walks a lot I know plenty about what a good shoe should feel like that this is one. I love them and would recommend them to anyone.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them. They do need to be broken in, but it is worth the effort. I have severe knee problems and this shoe has helped tremendously.

Black Patent Sydneys -
These Birkenstocks are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The Arizonas and Sydneys are both great. Zappos service is also a big plus. I am an extremely satisfied customer.
