Simply Terrible -
These shoes are terrible. They are hard to break in, and they leave red marks on my feet. I know a couple other people who have these shoes and they hate them. Next year when I get new shoes I will definitely get a different pair, and a different company. I highly suggest a different shoe!!!!

You shouldnt buy pointe shoes off the internet!!!
Ok, heres the skinny for you! These are handcrafted, even if you bought 2 pairs of the same size, they are going to be different!!! You cannot size yourself with pointes and you cant just go buy a pair and think you can go on pointe! You need to be fitted by a professional!!! Your teacher needs to approve you even going on pointe in the first place. If you ignore these warnings, you are going to seriously damage yourself! Oh and P.S. Pointe shoes arent meant to support your arch really, your own foot strength should be doing that for you. My arch doesnt even touch the shoe when on pointe! Its more about the toe and metatarsal support!!! Go to a store and get sized, then if you dont feel bad about wasting their time, then come buy them off the internet, but like I said before, they arent going to fit the same!!! Oh yeah, these shoes are made for narrow widths. If you get the wrong size pointe shoe and try dancing in it, you will cause irreversible damage to your foot!

OK -
Way too small (full size smaller) and not true to the width (narrow).

GREAT Pointe shoe -
These shoes are comfortable to where and well worth the price... They are easy to break in and easy to move in. My dance flows and glides in stead of blotchy shaky steps!

OK, not perfect -
A decently made shoe that got wrinkly and bunchy after only a few wearings, although was not hard to break in. The toe box was a good fit. The vamp was a little strange looking at first but stayed straight. I have a wide forefoot but very narrow heel and I seldom get a shoe that will lie flat across the sides of my heel. The price on these is good.

Fairly good shoe-
The shoe is easy to break in and it compliments and enhances the arch line of the foot. The satin got bunchy after a while and the shoe didn't last very long.

Finally a shoe that fits!
I have at last found a pointe shoe to accommodate my spreading metatarsals that doesn't pinch while being broken in! The elastic drawstring is great for keeping it from gapping in plie (why didn't someone think of this sooner?), and I feel much more stable while flat than I ever have in a pointe shoe before. Also keeps a beautiful line while on pointe -- keeps me from sickling.

Not close enough -
I am hard to fit in pointe shoes with a long narrow square shallow foot. These might have fit if they came in narrow or extra narrow. They do have a very low profile which makes some people thing they run short but they seem true to length to me. They seem to be good for moderately square feet too. The vamp seems pretty long. There were a few marks on the satin; as if they were seconds.

I've worn this shoe for about a year and a half now, and I've noticed that a lot of other dancers to as well - it seems to be a pretty universal shoe. I like it because it is a quiet shoe that doesn't make too much noise during jumps, and it's pretty easy to break in. The vamp holds my foot in beautifully for a really straight, clean line - very nice. My only qualm is that with wear the satin around the box gets sort of lumpy and wrinkled with little lines I think from the texture of the fibers in the box or something.

Ponte shoes for the student & professional -
Comfortable, easy to break in, long lasting and sleek fit resulting in great control provided you are properly fitted. 3/4 shank assists in fexiblility of feet. Look great on the dancer. May not be for all feet but work great for me.

 | | Dear Zappos, I am a very happy customer. I wanted to write and tell you HOW MUCH. I have spent thousands of dollars on shoes from Zappos online in the past few years. I live near an outlet and have only been there once. I buy shoes for everyone; me, my husband, my grandkids. I have NEVER had a bad experience at Zappos, never been refused wonderful and courteous service. There is no one out there in the world that I know of who has the customer service you do. It is unparalleled and the reason people come back and back. Zappos is successful in every way because of the customer service. Shoes can be bought anywhere. Customer happiness cannot. I have several stores and online sites that I will never shop at again because of customer service. I only give a place of business, including restaurants, one time to mess up. There are too many places to go. Thank you and I will continue to pass your name on to everyone I know. | | ~ Anne J., November 09 2009
