I love this jacket. This is actually the second one I have bought but this was the color I really wanted. The only thing I wish was that they had a 3X since I am 6'6" about 265; it is just a bit snug under the armpits. It is the perfect light weight jacket. Zappos price was the best one I saw plus it came with free shipping. I ordered it one afternoon and had it the next day.

Nice Jacket -
I'm 6'1" 190lbs, with an athletic build. Not many jackets fit my body because of my broad shoulders and small waist. This Apex jacket fits better than anything else that I own. Great length and the quality is outstanding!
Also, Zappos is the benchmark for online places to shop!!!

Apex - Perfect on the motorcycle!!!!
Outstanding jacket. Quality and comfort. I like the fact that it is professional grade material. I wear the jacket when riding my Harley. Where other riders need a heavier gauge jacket, I have found this shell to be perfect in some many situations. It packs light taking up little room in the motorcycle hard bags. Looking to buy another in brown.

Nice Jacket. Quality as always with TNF.
I picked up the jacket because of the windy area where I live. I was driving with the windows down the other day and I couldn't even feel the breeze on my upper body. I did notice though that even with my long torso area the jackets sleeves are fairly long. That being said, it does make it nice when I have gloves on as it covers up the ends for a nice seal.

North Face Apex Jacket -
Nice jacket, but not the traditional fleece that you usually see. This is a more "high tech" outer layer with fleece on the inside. Looks great and is just as warm. The fit is true to size and the back of the jacket extends and an inch or two below the front of the jacket. Overall, a very nice jacket.

The jacket was a great buy. I bought it for my son, and as a grad student with a dress code, this jacket will serve him well. The material is sleek outside, fleece-like inside. I chose the black color because of its versatility.

I love this jacket! It is surprisingly warm for how thin and light weight it is. It's well worth the money! I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and it gets cold, and this jacket with a hoodie underneath is plenty warm. It feels sturdy and high quality as well as looks really sharp; I have had a lot of compliments on it!

I just moved from Southern CA to Boston. I was looking for a jacket that was water/snow resistant and at the same time looked nice enough to wear to work. The Apex Bionic jacket is awesome with respect to my expectations. It looks very crisp and fits very well. I'm 6'0, chest 40'' and quite fit -- the M size fits me perfectly. It looks very athletic without making it too trendy for work wear (I bought the black). It leaves me with enough room to wear another fleece layer underneath. I wore it last week when it was very windy and it does a remarkable job of keeping you warm. I've always been a huge fan of North Face. My firewall backpack has been with me for 7 years, travelled in many flights, trains (in India) and buses. It still looks great and still, not a blemish!! The cost might look a little steep...but consider it as a long-term investment and I also bet that you'll get some compliments! I think it is perfect by itself for 30-40F...you'll definitely need another layer underneath it. My only complaint is that they could've had armpit vents...it can get a little stuffy on a humid day...but if you leave it unzipped, it should be fine.

there was a little bit of mustard colored fleece on the inside of the collar lining (that shows when the jacket is not zipped fully), that was not on the picture of the jacket, and not on the one I checked out at REI pre-purchase...detracts from the overall look.
Otherwise great jacket.

Great all weather jacket -
The North Face Bionic is one of the best winter jackets I have ever purchased. The lightweight material breathes well and it is highly durable. It is also extremely easy to clean! My only complaint is that it was not designed to zip into an outer shell to combine for a heavy winter coat. Other than that, the price is well worth it! Buy one now!

I bought this jacket--not from Zappos' but from local athletic store as spur of the moment Christmas present for my son-in-law---he travels every week as project manager and works in some COLD places...he hates bulky jackets...
Right now he is at a steel mill outside Chicago and my daughter tells me he loves this jacket---
It was a good fit for him--loose enough through the body that he could wear a fleece or sweater under it for warmth but still hugged the body for warmth--
Arms were not too long and the length came down over the hips so that wind would not go up his back...
Lightweight but windstopper makes it very warm and so far the snow/misty rain he has been in has not come through...
Have both shoes from Zappos before so know how great the service is--just wanted to enter another approval of the jacket--looking for one for my son this time...

SUPER jacket -
I got this jacket for my husband after seeing it on one of our friends. He LOVES it. The jacket (in brown, at least) has a more retro look to it, and the fit is slim and flattering. The arms are long enough, too. It is really warm without being too hot. Great for layering and wearing in the 40s-50s.

Appearance is as pictured, also quality, fabric and workmanship good. My husband is hard to fit and this jacket did not work for him. I must say Zappos could not have been more accommodating especially the phone rep. my order was placed late on 12/23 and the package was delivered 12/24 am.

I bought this jacket for both of my sons. It met and exceeded all of their expectations. This is a perfect weight jacket. Paired with a layering fleece it can be worn even on the coldest days.

GREAT JACKET!!
I live in Alaska and hike at least 3 times a week. The first hiking trip I took this jacket on was a 31 mile overnighter and it worked great! Works very well to repel water and wind. Even in the winter. This jacket is warm enough by itself. Great buy!

Great jacket. Worth EVERY penny!
I give this jacket two very enthusiastic thumbs up. My first adventure in it was a 10 hour hike on the Appalachian trail, for 7 hours of which it snowed. The snow did not once penetrate the water resistant exterior. Short of a downpour or blizzard this soft shell will keep you bone dry. Its wind blocking is also excellent. I wore this and a base layer and was more than warm enough in 20-25 degree weather. BUY THIS JACKET!

Great Jacket!
Jacket is very warm - It's November in NYC (out here for a month, actually from LA) and I can go out in the evening wearing a t-shirt and jeans, along with the jacket. Basically windproof, so the only part of you that really gets cold is your face and ears. I'd highly recommend it, but if you're over 6ft and/or have long arms, the medium will probably be too short for you. It fits just nice for me, though I wouldn't complain if it was a little longer. (I'm about 6ft, 180lbs or so). I highly recommend this jacket.

Ireland Trip -
1st clothing ordered from Zappos - ordered late, but received in time for 12 day Ireland trip due to overnight free shipping - temperatures ranged from 52 to 64 and rainy - this was the only jacket I needed for entire trip - fit perfect, sheds water great, and very comfortable - wife has same jacket and really flatters her figure - Zappos Customer Service can't be beat - I've ordered and purchased products from many different retailers, but very few can come close to the service I have received from Zappos...

Awesome Jacket -
This is an "awesome jacket, just what I needed" said my son. We recently purchased this jacket right before my son took a trip to Argentina. He needed something that would get here fast, was easy to pack, water resistant, and not too bulky. Although it was summer for us it was winter in Argentina. This jacket fit all of the requirements and then some. My son liked the look, color, and fit of the jacket. He said it was quite warm and just perfect for his needs. He is very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone who wanted something warm but light weight and water resistant.

Bought this coat as a replacement for my husband who’s other North Face coat from last year was 'accidentally' taken by someone else as a party. This coat is not as insulated as last year's version which isn't available anymore, but he likes it and continues to wear it. A great jacket without all the bells and whistles that other North Face jackets have; a good coat to wear to work for business casual.

 |  | Hi Fabulous Zappos Team: Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Barb and I just finished reading an absolutely delightful article about your company and corporate culture. I was so genuinely impressed that I wanted to send you all a note of thanks. Thanks for being the genuine article! My entire adult work life I have tried to promote a happy, customer focused work environment. While I have always been extremely productive from being authentic and caring, certain supervisors looked at my ways as being suspect and a little weird. Yes, it's true they felt a respectful, caring attitude was a waste of time and actually did not care if their current customers were satisfied. How they didn't equate that current happy customers equals monetary success now and later through referrals is still beyond me. They also never "got it" that their incredibly high employee turnover cost them dearly. Trained, happy people produce positive results. I worked with a company as a manager for the past 8 years that went through 29 managers in the 2 locations closest to me in my 1st two years of employment. Finally I decided to leave after not being able to effect positive change in my boss. Amazingly at Zappos the positive goes CEO down and back up - way to go! Being the eccentric optimist I am, I left my job and figured I'd have a great job in no time. Unfortunately, I am still looking for a positive, proactive position and was getting a little blue until I read the article tonight about Zappos. The great news is that my faith has been restored. There actually is a company that values what is really important and not just in a PR lip-service kind of way. I wish you all enormous success, big bucks, and happiness. I hope that your corporate culture spreads out like wild-fire to other businesses so that people like me who live it and believe it can experience it in our careers. If my husband wasn't off serving in Iraq, I'd probably be there beating down the door for a job, but it is in extremely bad form to sell the house and move away while the husband is out of the country for a year.
I most sincerely appreciate: Your Zappos core values that you really follow. Your supporting your employees to learn more, be happier
