Comfort & Style = Pizzazz!
This shoe was the most comfortable shoe that I can remember having on in a good many years. For years I've had to wear shoe sizes from 1/2 to 1 1/2 smaller so that my foot wouldn't flop in them. Naturally this squeezed my toes quite a bit. When I found this website, I was naturally skeptical. Not any more! It was everything I had hoped for and more. All I can say is thank you! Thank you! Didn't quite meet expectations -
Selected this shoe to replace somewhat cheaper Florsheim. Expected, on advice of others this shoe to be extremely comfortable and provide good arch support. Found medium comfort but not very good arch support. Will have to use insole which will likely impact fit. Have 10 1/2 EEE foot, and am hard to fit with good arch support. Too bad as looked forward to buying above line shoe.

My Como Imperial’s are great after 1 year.
I bought a pair of black Como Imperials 1 year ago. They are by far my favorite shoes. They show very little wear and are extremely comfortable. A good buy.

This is an excellent high mid-quality shoe, high quality being Ferragamo, Bally, etc. It fits looks better than average and the leather is very soft.

Worth every penny -
Florsheim's have always been synonymous with quality. But like everything else not every style suits every person. I have problems with many styles because of a high instep. With the Como Imperial, that is never a problem because of the clever way the top of the shoe combines the quality Florsheim leather with well-placed elastic. The result is a shoe that always feels good, and always looks great. Needless to say, this is not the first time I have purchased this style, and won't be the last (no pun intended).

Most Comfortable Shoe -
Those shoes are made from lambskin and are comfortable out of the box - more so than any other shoe I've owned. They get better with wear of course but just put 'em on, scuff the sole on some dirt and you're set to go.
Although a casual design, appearance-wise, they are fine for wearing with all but the most formal wear.

This order replaces the same model Florsheim shoe I bought nearly 20 years ago. I might still be wearing them but one of the gold buckles finally fell off. It's a great shoe. And Florsheim seems to be the only manufacturer making shoes in my 10 A size.

Best dress shoe -
The Como's live up to your expectations. They are very comfortable and need only a short break-in. The uppers require very little care and don't suffer from the permanent wrinkles of less expensive shoes. These look great, even after you've worn them a lot. This is my third pair of Como’s.

Very pleased but...
I love this shoe. I bought both a black and brown pair. The only strange phenomenon that has occurred is that the sole leaves marks on the carpet we have at work. I actually have to moisten the bottom of my shoes before I walk around the office otherwise I leave footprints on the carpet. Strange.
I had purchased this shoe years ago at a Florsheim store and this did not occur. Not sure why.

Great Choice-
I have wearing Allen Edmonds shoes for over 20 years until they dropped my size. The Como Imperial turned out to be a great alternative. I love the shoe.

I was very happy the day I received my Como Imperials. They immediately felt great on my feet, and they looked very sharp. Unfortunately the quality of the shoe was very poor. After just 6 wears, the interior soles were pulling up and the exterior has worn through on the outside of one of the heels. Everyone else seems to rave about this shoe so I can only assume that somehow my pair was defective. I've bought 4 other pairs of Imperials and loved them all. Proceed with caution.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The look, though classic, is a little dated, and it shold be available in a cordovan color. Mahogony is more brown than cordovan.

Hard to fit foot -
The first pair was too large, even though we ordered the size that was on the old pair. By ordering a half size smaller, the fit was good and comfortable. Wonderful service from Zappos.

Exceptional Fit-
Quite simply the ONLY show that has been a true fit for my difficult to fit feet- size 11 with A heel and C instep. The Como Imperial has consistently fit well, required no break-in, and looks good to boot. I have been a satisfied customer for nearly 20 years and am glad to now find them available online.

True comfort-
I wore this model for about 20 years. I wear a 3e and they fit like a soft glove. A friend of mine, who doesn't wear a suit too often, only owns these as dress shoes. It's nice to know I have a place I can get them again. This model was always the best made and well wearing of the Florsheim Imperial product line.

I have worn only Florsheim Como Imperial Shoes for the last 5 years. They are incredibly comfortable, more like wearing a slipper than a shoe. It is the only shoe I would order on-line and know that it will fit perfectly.

I don't know who's making these shoes since Florsheim's parent declared bankruptcy but I'm sure glad someone is and that Zappos carries them. I can't find them in Chicago retail stores.

Why change a good thing.
I have been wearing Florsehim's Imperials for at least 20 years. When Florsehm closed their stores I was very disapointed. But after finding Zappos, I could not be happier. The shoes are great and the service is better. It always took me a month or two to go to a mall and buy the shoes I know I wanted, but now I go on line and the shoes are here in two days and I don't need my BP pill to survive the malls. I discovered this Florsheim last that fit my narrow feet many years ago but have been unable since to find them or anything else that fits in a retail store.
