Not "street size" -
I ordered an 8.5 and a 10.5 for my daughters (soon to be flower girls) who wear sizes 8 and 10 respectively. Much to my surprise, I couldn't even squeeze either girl into the slippers. While both girls have wide (but not crazy-wide) feet, I think it is more the length of the shoe than the width. My advice: order at least 1.5 sizes larger. Other than not fitting, they looked great.

My three year old daughter wears a size 10 1/2 shoe & her feet are a tad wide. After reading the reviews, I ordered a size 11M ballet shoe. The fit is perfect- a teeny bit of room for her feet to grow. Even though my order stated free ground shipping, they arrived the next day. I really, really love Zappos and the customer service they provide. I'm coming back again and again. Thank you!

Delighted Granddaughter -
I went to NM to visit my Granddaughter and took her ballet slippers along. Of all the things I took along her little shoes were her favorite. Just like mine when I was her age.

They are exactly what her ballet school requires. I ordered a size bigger and used the elastic strings to tighten them on her feet. The leather with also stretch, so I think she should be able to wear these for at least a year...

Quality Ballet Shoes -
Although I could find a cheaper ballet shoe for my 5 year old ballerina...the Capezio shoe is of much better quality. They also look adorable on her. Besides with the free shipping & returns that Zappos offers it is less stressful than trying to shop w/ a 5 year old.

Great first ballet shoe -
I ordered a half size bigger on the advice of other reviews and the fit was just right. Perfect for what we needed and arrived within 24 hours--much faster than I could have gotten to the mall! Zappos is terrific as always!

Ballet shoe -
We have had several pairs of these ballet slippers. They are so cute and very well made. They are leather so they age well and still look great after a year of classes. My daughter loves them, especially the daisies inside. We got the white for the first time after having several pairs of the pink. I'm sure they will look dirty faster but will still wear well. These are the best of any ballet slipper for beginner dancers!

Capezio White Toddler -
These are great and my daughter loves them for just dancing around in...not hard-toed on Pointe shoes - soft. Seem very durable and the soft white leather is lovely to look at, wipe-able and looks classy - she wore them for a kindergarten production of the nutcracker as a white flower and they were great!

A lovely dancing shoe!
Bought these in white for my 5 year old son who is just starting dance classes. Black and pink dance shoes are all we can find around here, and my son hates black, so what to do? Go to trusty Zappos, of course. I was pleased to see the Capezio shoe offered - the brand I grew up dancing in.
Thanks to the other reviews that advised getting one size bigger than usual, I ordered a size up, too. The shoe fits well with a little bit of room to grow, but with the help of the draw string adjustment is snug enough to do well on the dance floor. Happy customers, yet again! Thanks Zappos! With Zappos' return policy, you can't really go wrong. Nice when it works the first time, though.

Thank goodness for Zappos! I couldn't find a ballet slipper in my daughter's size anywhere. Ordered these and they came next day - just in time for her first class.

Talk to a dance pro before ordering!
The shoe is perfect as Capezio shoes always are. However, I would size the shoe with a dance pro before you order, as a ballet shoe should fit snug and never loose. Therefore, you should order at least a 1/2 size smaller than your regular shoe size. However, when you're dealing with a child who is just starting ballet as a fun activity, it doesn't really matter if there is a little room. They can simply grow into it.

These are darling first ballet slippers. It took me back to my first days in ballet (oh so many years ago!) and was a very special moment presenting them to my 3 year old for her first class. She loved them so much she wore them all day, even slept in them! These are shoes we will keep forever in her memory box. She usually wears a 7 and I ordered an 8 (on advice of other reviewers) and they just fit.

Nicely made and the shade of pink is perfect for tights and tutus. The daisy printed interior is an added bonus for little girls.

Perfect for a three year old -
The ballet shoes, that are basically slippers, were fine for a 2 year old but these really make my 3 year old feel official.

These worked out great for my 8 year old granddaughter to wear with her Easter dress and lace trimmed footless tights.

Great Ballet Class Shoe!
My daughter is very comfortable in these ballet slippers. They fit great and are easy for her to put on herself (she's 4) in class. Overall, a great ballet flat for kids!

I purchased these for my two granddaughters age 4 and 7 who attend dancing school and deserve the very best. The ones they were wearing were so poorly made they were falling apart and had to be glued on the bottom. My daughter is extremely impressed with the quality and comfort of the Capezio products.

My twin nieces were so excited to receive these ballet slippers on their birthdays! I got them a half size larger, but they can't wait to wear them around the house. Quick delivery and the shoes were received as described. The only flaw with the shoes is the laces are too long, but other than that, overall very satisfied with the purchase.

Kid's Capezio Daisy Ballet Slippers -
My daughter loves these ballet slippers. She says they are more comfortable than the Bloch ones she had before. I bought a half size larger than her regular shoe size and the slippers fit great with a little room to grow. They are also a really pretty shade of pink.

They're irresistibly cute.
It's so fun to buy the first set of Capezio dance slippers for my daughter. I wish, though, they came with a device to help them stay tied. The ties come undone so easily.

Very nice -
I bought 2 pairs of these slippers for my daughters, unfortunately there was no pink slippers in their sizes, and for my older daughter they didn't even have it in white, so I ended up buying her the black ones because we need it for their dance class ASAP, but they are good, durable, very classic looking, fit nicely and snuggly, girls like it a lot, and me too. :) Definitely recommend it for dance, and gymnastic classes, but not for everyday use (unless it’s a practice, they have NO arch support, none! - and kids need it - so they would not have problems with flat feet and other problems with feet in their adulthood, especially girls who would need to wear their heels in no time... :) Hope this review helps, :)
