Love these shoes! They live up to the Keen reputation I've been hearing about for years. They are comfy enough to walk for hours and offer a little more fashion than my usual running shoes.Based on size reviews, I bought a half size bigger than I normally wear and they are perfect.

Overall, I love these shoes. I researched a lot, looking for a comfy pair of mary janes that I could wear with anything, that weren't too 'girly' and that would help my back pain after toting and running after toddlers all day. These shoes are just perfect on all counts. I bought the Port Royale color, which is pretty accurately depicted in the picture as a burgundy-purple. They are a bit darker than the photo, which is fine. And the color seems to match everything in my hippie-style earth-tone wardrobe. Too, they look great with everything from cargos to capris, and I could see them looking great with funky-styled skirts or dresses too. I'd hesitated to buy these because some of the negative reviews, particularly concerning the top of the shoes above the toes and the back of the shoe being sharp/rough. The area on the top of the shoes, above the toe is not as spacious as the width of the shoe seems to demand. It felt odd the first couple of wears, but this area does stretch within the first few days to a comfortable level, or at least it did for me. My feet are tending toward narrow in every dimension. If your feet are unusually shaped, or wider at the top I can definitely see where this area might not stretch enough to be comfortable. The heel of the shoe is not perfectly soft and does not have cushioning. If these shoes were to fit tightly, this could be irritating. I am between a 7 and 7.5 size-wise, so ordered a 7 based on other reviewers comments. I probably could have gone smaller, but I think comfort would have been a sacrifice. The 7.5, which is more my normal size, would have been too big in this shoes; they do run at least half a size big in my estimation. The shoes fit me very much like slippers, they feel like slippers too, and they slide on without being unbuckled, because of the extra room in them and the wide width. They are very lightweight, are comfortable for taking walks around the neighborhood, and chasing after two toddlers outdoors. At the end of the day, the back pain I was experiencing with my old shoes (Birkis) is no longer there, so they definitely have a great deal more support than the clogs I'm used to wearing. If you're looking for comfort and versatile style, and if your feet don't typically demand specialty shoes, I don't think you could go wrong with these. My only gripe is that, like all things, they are made in China.

These shoes are way too comfortable. The first time I ever wore them I walked all around New York City without any problems. I have numerous foot issues, including plantar fasciitis, and these Keens afford me much comfort. They are true to size and very roomy in the toe area.

I bought the Keen Calistoga's for a 2 week trip to France. I brought 2 other pairs of non-Keen shoes, but ended up only wearing the Keen's because they were so comfy. They did require breaking in, which took about 3 days of a good amount of walking. I chose to wear them with the no-show flesh-colored thin socks that you can buy at Target. This helped to keep the shoes cooler as they are a bit warm. They worked great with a variety of outfits which is a huge plus when traveling. The only slight bummer was that it was a bit of a pain to have to buckle them on/off. I see that they make a variety that has a snap closure which would be easier. I would buy again and would buy Keens as well.

These shoes are great. I wear them all the time. I ordered the same size as my "oxford" type Keens and they fit well. They are a little wide, but that is to be expected with Keen. I had been looking for Keen: Mary Janes and these fit the bill.

I'm wearing these all the time! They have a pretty neutral footbed, which works for me because I'm wearing them with orthotic arch supports. My feet feel really secure in them, they look good and the soles are super on my icy driveway! Really great for wide feet; my feet are really wide and there's tons of room. I don't think people with narrow feet would like these. I bought the pink ones; got tired of black shoes. Happy with the choice. I'm definitely going to buy some more pairs of Keens.

I so wanted to love these shoes, I just couldn't. The toe bed is clownishly large (just my taste, no offense to anybody!). I still might have kept them but the top of the shoe (not the strap) cut into the top of my foot. Why it was so tight when the toe area was so spacious, I know not. Couldn't wear these around the office for a test spin even.

Awesome, good looking comfortable shoe. Especially for wide feet. Usually wear WW in other shoes. But the B-Medium Keene Calistoga fits just fine. Very short break in period with the upper rim of the shoe on top of my foot. Was comfortable and no problem after a week. Well worth the price. But then, any Keen shoe usually tends to be a good deal.

These are the best shoes I have ever found! I have them in almost every color. They are super comfy and wear well. I have worn this style for 5 years now. I feel they have a wider toe bed than most shoes. They are worth every penny.

These shoes were highly recommended by multiple friends and I must agree they are a great. I live in a rural mountain community and needed something dressy with an all terrain sole and these fit the bill. They are perfect for standing and walking many long hours and accommodate my wide foot with no arch well.

These are great shoes! They are really comfortable, as Keen shoes usually are. They are particularly good for me, because I can take out the liners and they fit my orthotics without being tight.

I am returning these. These sloshed up and down a bit on my foot. I also wasn't happy with the quality of the hook on the strap. It was flimsy and seemed like it might break quickly. The foot bed seemed comfortable, though.

These are very comfy and cute! I ordered a 6.5 but usually wear a 7. They fit great and really are a fun color.

I love these shoes! They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. They do run about a half size big, which is fine as it allows me to wear thick winter socks with them. They are very comfortable for walking, and if you need to be on your feet for any length of time, these are the shoes to wear!

These are absolutely the best shoes. I have them in black and green! They are incredibly comfortable and great with jeans or shorts. It is starting to get cold here and I'm still planning on wearing them all the time, just with thicker socks. They are easy to slide on and off and have great support. I also got the Keen fold-over sweater-boots and they also rock!

odd fit -
I normally wear a 9.5 medium, so I ordered the 9.5 which was very loose (both width and heel room) - I read other reviews and realized that I should have ordered a 9.0, so I did, however the 9.0 is way to small - much too narrow and rubs my heels - there is no padding on the heel...very uncomfortable - had to return the 9.0 as well

I bought two pairs! They are extremely comfortable, with good arch support. The fit is roomy, so you can wear them with socks, tights, or barefoot. Mostly, I think they are very cute! I have another pair of Keen shoes that I bought last summer. I love them, too! The Mary Jane style looks great with skirts or pants.

I had very serious foot surgery 7 1/2 months ago that requires that I wear extreme orthotics at all times. These shoes have removable insoles that allow me to insert my own orthotics. I wear these shoes all day and even use them as slippers around the house. They are very cute and very comfortable and have saved me from having to submit to wearing UGLY shoes. I also have the lace up version of this shoe that are equally cute and comfortable.

Oh boy! Decisions, decisions. Have purchased both the Keen Calistogas (so cute!) and the Winthrop clog. Can't keep them both. The clog is so comfy, my feet won't let them go. The Calistoga is a bit hard in the heel opening area with a thinner, rougher edge at the instep and heel. Sizing is weird; I wear a 10, which seem big, heels slips, ordered a 9.5, way too short. Seems more like a whole size difference than a half. The 10 fits better with orthotics and socks. The clogs are super comfy, but not the kind of shoe you can wear with skirts/dresses. I'm leaning toward these shoes in the hope they'll eventually break in and be a little more comfy. Arch support's not terrific, but I do wear the orthotics with them.

I love the look of these shoes, but I found that the backs of the shoe where the heel goes in was sharp/abrasive. It messes up the back of the sock. I had to return them. I love the Sydney mary jane. There is a little pad on the back of the shoe. The old Seattle ones had the little padding, too. I am so sad because I love how the shoes look, but they made blisters on the back of my heels. I love all the Keen shoes I own though, and I own a lot!

Love them! At first I wasn't sure; they rubbed and felt tight on the top. One reviewer said that that goes away in 2-3 days; they were right. But then they started rubbing pretty fiercely on my heels. But now they are awesome and my favorite pair of shoes. Worth the breaking in time!
