The perfect casual travel shoe...
I travel every week for business and wear loafers almost exclusively because of the TSA checkpoints. I own the Clarks Grip in 3 different colors: black, brown, and taupe suede. The Grip has perfected the driving moc look with the sole extending up the heel. The tiny holes on the instep offer much needed ventilation after navigating an airport. They slip on and off very easily so you're not "that guy" who's simultaneously trying to repack his laptop, hair gel & shampoo and re-tie his shoes while his fellow passengers try not to kill him for holding up the line. The best part (next to the Grip's comfort) is that they are very packable, taking up virtually no space in one's luggage. I used to bring just a pair of dress shoes for work and sneakers for the gym. My dress shoes would double as casual shoes in a pinch. Nowadays, I can actually bring a pair of casual/travel shoes with the Grip as they are so light and packable. For the most part the Grip wears true to size, but they lean toward running big. I wear an 11 or 11.5 depending on the maker. In the Grip the 11.5 would be huge. The 11 was fine. These are also great for wide feet. Lastly, I get a lot of compliments on these. They just look comfortable.

Great shoe, but wears easy.
I am on my second pair after only 3 months. The toe of the shoe is very thin and has no rubber. I wore a hole out in the toe of mine in only 2 months and that was not wearing them all the time. Thanks to Zappos for their great service and replacement policy. Other than that, the shoe is great! Comfortable, light, and looks great.

Clarks Grip -
Comfortable and they look even better in person. My only complaint is they show wear on the bottom of the toe area. Not enough rubber sole there, but you really don't see it. Just could wear out a hole.

I am a fan of Clarks brand of shoes. They are always comfortable and long lasting. These were a little tight, and did give me a blister. As I break them in they are loosening up and becoming more and more comfortable. The shoes do feel like they support the back. They are good to wear at a desk, or walk around, or wear with jeans, shorts, or khakis. A great casual shoe. And when I ordered them, I got them the very next day! Amazing.

I love these shoes. They look great with shorts, khakis and jeans. I wanted them for a while before I got them and I am so glad I finally did. I love wearing them. Go ahead and get you a pair.

Breaks in well -
I wear a size 14, but ordered a size 13 online (no 14s were available). They were small and gave me heel blisters the first time I wore them, however, I put a shoe tree in them for 2 weeks, and they stretched out perfectly. The leather is soft and broke in well. Now they are very comfortable. I wish I got the darker colored version though.

Comfortable -
I've worn Clarks before. I used to wear the Wallabees, and the Desert Trek. These Clarks fit differently than both: their lighter, less restrictive than the Desert Trek, and more snug in the toe than the Wallabees. I bought my size unlike many of the other reviewers. They fit a little looser than I expected, but I have wide feet and wear orthotics so I'm pretty sure that I couldn't have gone smaller. Besides, they weren't too loose that they were slipping or causing irritation or blisters. The sole took some getting used to, but I was comfy in them immediately.

Soft leather and reasonably good support for a moc. Fits a wide foot well.

Really comfortable, great shoe.
The grip is an awesome shoe. Really comfortable right out of the box. I wear mine with jeans or chinos, they look great for a casual look around town or in the office. They run big, so get a half size smaller. You won't want to wear another "stuffy" dress shoe after wearing these. This is my second style of shoe from Clarks and I haven't been let down with comfort or quality from either shoe.

Style is nice, but very low to ground, thus the size has to be perfect.

Wear it all the time -
I absolutely love this shoe! It takes awhile to break in the heel; I did have blisters from wearing them too often, too soon. After they're broken in they seem like they get better everyday. They are great to lounge around in at home since dirt doesn't get caught in the treads...walking around town in...and especially driving. I didn't buy them to make a statement, but I always get looks from older men who are wearing the northeastern style boat loafer. I've seen some people wearing shoes that look somewhat like my Clarks but most have funny looking treads or heels. These shoes look just as great from the top as they do from the bottom and behind (the tread is incredibly interesting.)
Really though, I am really picky when getting shoes, but these are my favorite pair. I will be getting the darker ones that are solid (without the holes on top for winter.) I am a college student so I do a lot of traveling on foot, outdoors. Oh, and the holes actually do ventilate very well. When I drive and I turn on the air conditioning to the floor I can feel the air entering them.
SIZE: I bought a shoe size that was 1.5 times smaller than my normal shoe. I don't wear them with socks,
P.S. GQ, the guys style magazine, always has pictures of these types of shoes.
