Cute Boots!
I love these boots! Pros: beautiful thick & sturdy leather, sturdy sole, adjustable buckles, well made in the USA, fun with skirts and jeans, warm, receive many compliments. I believe these will last a very long time! Cons: the thick leather makes them stiff and difficult to put on although they loosen up after wearing, they are a bit heavy. I intentionally waited after a couple weeks of wearing to comment on the comfort. They are great, but slip a bit on the heel, even with the bottom buckle tightened. I might have done better with a half size smaller, but I think they will be fine with inserts. I just ordered another pair of Fryes today! Zappos customer service? THE BEST EVER!

Love these -
These boots look great with everything - especially skirts and dresses. They are pretty comfortable...a little snug in the insole perhaps (depending on the thickness of the sock), and a little stiff initially, but I anticipate that they will only get softer and more comfortable with time. I get compliments on them all the time.

Great boots -
I'm a size five and got a half size bigger. With thick socks and skinny jeans they fit perfectly. Like any shoe they had to be broken in. Now I wear them all the time. The adjustable buckles really help keep them on my feet too.

I love these boots. I'm a true 6 and bought a 6. The boots were a little tough to pull on at first but now that I've broken them in they're fine. A tip I learned from my mom was to cut the feet off pantyhose and slip them over my socks so that it's easier to pull on unbroken in boots.

If you are lusting after these boots like I was: GET THEM! I love Frye and have been wearing the Harness for several years. The Harness style is narrow in the toe box, surprisingly, so is the Engineer. Order at least a half size up. They're worth every penny.

Great shoes -
These shoes are great. You will know when you see it. These shoes are built to last: thick leather, great craftsmanship. There is a down side. The thick leather requires more break-in time, but it is worth it. This is why I gave a 4 for comfort. I have small and thin feet. I normally wear a 6 or even 5.5 sometimes (sketcher), and I ordered a 6.5 after reading other reviews. It fits. But if you want to wear thick socks with it during winter, I recommend ordering 1 size up at least. It does require some effort taking the shoe off, but it is not as difficult as some reviewer said. Again, after you break into it, everything becomes a little easier. For shoe lovers, like me, and for whom these shoes are a little out of budget, like me, I recommend getting the shoes when you can't decide whether to go for the money or for the shoes, because I love the warmth, I love the looks, and I love to wear kick ass boots.

Great looking and surprisingly comfortable. They seemed to run about a half size small and very wide, especially at the heel. Nothing the right socks cannot fix. Very pleased.

Nice, but...
These boots are nice looking, they really are but they are lacking in very specific areas, at least for me. After reading many reviews I had decided to order the regular size 9.5s. Big mistake. They took much to long just to pull on, they were very tight on the ball of my foot (the widest part of my foot measures 3 3/4" wide), and the shaft, at 15.5", were much too tight (I later measured my calf to be an actual 16.5 - 17" wide.) Lengthwise they were maybe only a 1/4" to a 1/2" too small (my real length is 9.5"). I ended up sending them right back for a refund. Considering how narrow they were, I wasn't even going to bother ordering a size up. While I'd recommend Zappos for their free shipping and return service, and their quick shipping, I definitely do not recommend these boots for people with wide feet or bigger calves. Instead, find something else and make sure to take measurements of the length and width of your foot and the size of your calf at the widest part. If you need to e-mail the company directly for accurate measurements to make sure the boots you choose will definitely fit you.

LOVE These Boots!
So glad I splurged and bought these boots! I read all the reviews first and debated whether or not to order a half size up or down based on other comments, but went ahead and just ordered my true size and they are perfect. They feel good and they look incredible. Love, love, love them. And of course, Zappos was fantastic as always. If you're unsure about size, order a 1/2 under, your standard size and a 1/2 up. Returns are SO easy on Zappos, what have you got to lose??
If you're thinking of getting these boots, do it! They're worth the splurge.

Just what I'd hoped for!
Have been looking at this boot for over a year and finally got it! After reading reviews and hesitating over the sizing (I have wide feet), I ended up ordering my normal size 9 and a 9.5. The 9.5s were perfect - they felt comfortable right away - the 9s were too tight all around (foot, heel, calf). Zappos got the second pair to me in less than 24hrs (the 1st pair in just 2 days!) and the return process was painless. This Frye boot will definitely work for a wider foot and it'll go with everything. Can't wait for fall!

Everything I hoped they would be! I have big calves and wide, flat feet so worried they would not fit... but because you can unbuckle them, they slipped right on and are plenty long and wide enough in my true size, 7.5. I'm thrilled with them because they are so utilitarian and look so great with jeans, etc.

Stylin Engineer boots -
I wanted a pair of Frye boots for a long time. I live in Oregon and I live in boots for our long wet, rainy winters. The square toe Fryes were too tight on my feet. The Engineer boots with the round toes fit my foot well. I have wide feet with a high arch. I a sure these will get even softer with age. I am so excited to have my own Engineer boots. I used to borrow my mom's loser biker boy friends boots as a teenager. Zappos shipped these to me express for free!! Keep up the good work!!

Love these boots!! Ordered these Saturday night and received them on Monday w/ standard shipping. Zappos is amazing especially for impatient people like me. The boots are very comfortable, I had no problem getting them on and I’ve just been wearing them around the house to break them in. Also, I was a little skeptical in ordering these shoes b/c I’m such a short girl (in between 4'11" and 5 feet) but the adjustable buckle on the top made these boots look good even on shorter legs like mine. & they feel very heavy duty; great quality and cute with denim miniskirts and shorts.

Perfect Women's Motorcycle Boot -
I ride a CBR 929 and these are the perfect boots if you ride, whatever you ride... fits under boot cut jeans nicely; I am 5'5" and the heel is just high enough to give me that extra leverage I need when backing the bike up and yet the left foot still fits right under the shift lever perfectly. Also, the boot is high enough, so you don't get the top of the boot caught up on the foot pegs when you are moving the bike around.

Engineer Boots -
I had been lusting after these boots for months, but was a bit disappointed when I finally got them home. I ordered my true size (7.5) and even though I did not struggle much to get them on, my feet were not comfortable once inside. The boots felt very tight across the ball of my foot even though the length was fine. The leather is very stiff and I was not sure how much it would end up stretching, so I decided to send them back. Also, the shaft of the boot was extremely loose on my calf, even with jeans tucked in. This boot looks great and Frye's quality is always amazing, but it didn't work out for me. I think I'll try the Veronica Slouch style instead and see if those are better.

The perfect biker boot!
Wow, these were all I expected and more; probably the coolest biker boots I've seen anywhere. Breaking them in has been a little arduous, but totally worth it. Very sexy with a mini skirt, the boys really notice!

EXCELLENT BOOTS!!!!
Plain and simple, these boots rock!
They were very comfortable right off the bat, (unlike other reviews I had read), and I have no problem pulling them on or off. They are well made. I have bought numerous pairs of boots in search of the perfect boot, and this is my first pair of Fryes...I don't think I'll ever buy a different brand again. They are worth the extra $$$.
I also like the fact that they are made in the USA (and have been for over 100 years).

I love the boots after a few wearings they loosened up. I would buy a size wider if they would have been available as I have wide feet. If they become available in a wider size I'll buy another pair. Also I wouldn’t buy from anybody but Zappos, they service is #1.

Zappos Rocks!
I ordered the Frye Engineer 15R because I ride motorcycles and wanted that biker look plus the added protection that Frye leather provides. I forgot to ask for overnight delivery when I placed my order and called Zappos customer service. The person I talked to was more than nice and she even upgraded my delivery to overnight but didn't charge me!!!!! Now that's service. The Frye Engineer 15R was everything and more than the description provided. I will not hesitate to order from Zappos again and again.
Riding free, looking good and protected in California!

Great Boot!
I wear an 8 and that is what I ordered. They fit fine. I have narrow feet and there was some heel slippage until I figured out what the instep strap was for. USE IT! Once I tightened it up I have no more heel slippage. I wear regular cotton socks with these. They are very hard to get into the first few times but once you have them broken in it gets easier. I can wear these boots all day and have no discomfort. Worth every penny.

Got the brown boots and fell in love! Great, great boots! I have a high arch and it does take me awhile to get the boots on, but I am hoping that will lessen as I get them worn in. They are also a bit tight in my calf area and I am trying to work that in as well.

Best boots ever!
This is my new favorite boot ever! These boots kick winter's butt. I just love the look; they fit like a glove and are very comfortable. I had no trouble getting them on right away and they are breaking in very quickly. I'm serious about good boots and I think I'm sticking with Frye from now on. I previously wore Doc Martens and Harley Davidson. These blow them away in quality and comfort. Totally worth the extra money.
They were hard to get in Canada, but worth the wait.

You do have to break this boot in - one long protest will do it. Massive compliments - feel like a biker-punk gal from a 60s movie with a definite Steve McQueen cameo. Great boot! And Zappos, excellent service as usual.

These are fantastic looking boots. Well made. Also, very comfortable. Only drawback in my opinion is that they're stiff and really heavy. I wasn't confident enough in them softening up to keep them.
