Awesome, beautiful and comfortable boots. They look even better when you see them in person. They are very comfortable too - I can wear them all day with minimal complaints. I am very impressed with the style and comfort of these boots and even more surprised that Rockport makes them. I love them!

I've been searching this style of boots for a long time. The shape and heels are great. The leather does not look as shiny as it appears on the picture. What the other reviewers say about the width is true, the boots run narrow. I had to return a first pair against a wider one. I haven't been wearing them yet, so I cannot tell of the others' reaction or of their level of comfort. Thanks again to Zappos for easy exchange and access to great style of boots!

Rockin boots for wide calves!!!
I have been looking for knee high lace-ups like this for a long time... so glad I found these! They were comfortable right out of the box, but as I wear them, they are getting even more comfortable. The laces make it a custom fit to my 16 1/2" calves (often wide calf boots are too big, regular too small) and they make me feel like I can take on the world. They look great with any kind of skirt. Highly recommend!!!

This is a charming boot with a bit of Sassy to boot! I ordered it in the C width. I am glad I did. It is very lovely boot, but I do feel the extra bit in width is a bonus for comfort. The boot is really sexy in a primitive way; looks great with leggings and skirts. I really am pleased with this boot!

Will not purchase another Rockport product -
These boots say they are genuine leather, but look like plastic. The zipper looks very cheap and look like it will break with very little wear. I did follow the suggestion of ordering a wide, and the boots fit perfectly. They felt very comfortable, but they just look too cheap - I would be embarrassed wearing these boots.

Steampunk Victorian Beauties!
These boots are sooo great. They have a beautiful antiqued leather finish that makes them look almost Victorian (don't order these if you want your boots to look inky black; the finish is a glaze that highlights scratches and makes the leather appear grayish). The look is punk-rock meets equestrian; they are stylish yet classic. I had a pair of Rockports previously that ran narrow; I ordered wide and I'm glad I did (I typically wear either an 8 1/2 or a 9 and I went with the 9). They fit well and the latex lining makes them quite comfortable; though the arch support is good, it's not quite enough for my flat feet. I think these boots will age beautifully, and I can already tell that they'll be my faves for years to come. Zappos' delivery is fast and furious; I ordered in the afternoon and had them by 11am the next day!

Comfortable and stylish boots -
I bought these boots back in October of 2007 and I have to say these are the cutest boots I have seen. I work part time in a ladies boutique-5 hours plus 5 days a week. Sometimes these are on my feet seven hours before I take them off. They are very comfortable. I have had a lot of compliments on them also from my customers and I tell them-Zappos.com Rockports are great! I bought the size 7 even though my feet are a size 6 1/2.

Amazing boots and the best service!!
I have a wide foot, and the 7.5W was perfect! True to size and extremely comfortable. I war them for full days, and they are the most comfortable boots ever!! I wore them to a Thanksgiving dinner with a large group of people, and I got tons of compliments. One young man told me "you're boots are very Metal." I think that means something positive. I wear them over skinny jeans. Love them!

Very cute but painfully narrow -
I normally wear a size 7 with a regular width so that is what I ordered. After reading all of the reviews I should have followed prior customer advice but I didn't. I am going to return these as I ordered the 7 in a wide to try. The 7 in the wide was delivered today and the right boot heel feels like it is pinching?! These boots are very cute but I don't think I'll be able to wear them.

Classic and comfortable -
Every time I wear these boots I get compliments! They are great with long and short skirts as well as slacks. I got mine last year and wore them most days from January to March. They weathered a (mild) Canadian winter superbly. I recommend regular cleaning, polishing and weatherproofing to maintain the leather.

I kept looking at this boot for a bit before I took the plunge and ordered it. When I took it out of the box I was surprised at the height of the heel. The description stated that it was 1 1/4" but it's 2" and for me that was a no go. Unfortunately, I had to send it back. Still not too sure about Rockports' sizing. I'm a 10.5M & purchased this in an 11M and it was a great fit. Having said that, this boot is very comfortable boot.

This shoe is awesome! I ordered them in Java & was worried they wouldn't fit because I wear an 11M, sometimes 11W and have athletic calves. But they zipped right up! Plus, the fact that they're also lace-up makes them flexible as far as sizing goes, since you can loosen the laces if you find them too snug. They're quite comfortable and look great: very sleek and sophisticated with just the right heel height.

Love this boot!
Very stylish, simple and elegant, yet fashionable. I have a very narrow foot and calf so this was a good fit for me. The lace-ups helped to fit around my calf. I did have to stretch at the toe just a tiny bit, but being real leather these stretched easily. These look good with jeans, dress up, dress down and are so cute with a skirt and tights.

I just got these boots today and I totally love them. They are very soft and comfortable (around the house so far). I was a bit worried because I ordered the java ones instead of the blk (my own fault). I have this weird thing about brown colored boots and was planning to send them back as soon as they came. I must say that I am happy with this buy. They are my very first pair of brown boots and I love them. A+ for Rockport!

I bought these boots in December after looking at them for awhile. Very comfortable and felt true to size. However, I have a tough time keeping my shoes strings from coming loose. A small price to pay for great looking boots; if you can't decide... buy them!

I really do love these boots. I get compliments everywhere I go. They are very comfortable and warm. The fit is very adjustable because of the laces. I wish they had been just a little wider as I wanted to wear heavy socks with them, but they are fairly warm even with very thin socks. Thanks Zappos for providing space for these reviews. I'm sure that is why I was able to get the right fit with my first order. I am very hard to fit and often unhappily have to return shoes. Also, you helped me find them at another supplier when you didn't have my size available at the time. I've been considering also buying another color.

Very disappointed -
I wanted these boots to work; they are beautiful looking. Sadly, they are not well constructed inside. The stitching across the toes just below the lacing causes pain to the foot inside the boot. Also, they are extremely narrow. I looked at these for a long time, and was so happy when they arrived, but... I have to send them back. They're not worth the price.

One Great Pair of Boots!
I ordered my usual size (10 wide) and actually had wiggle room for my toes...yeah! They did fit perfect. I love that the insole is removable (which is not mentioned) so I could slip in my own inserts, they make shoes so comfy. These boots give good cushion, not like walking on cardboard like some shoes, nice thick rubber soles, yet very stylish. My first day I wore them for 10 hours (manager in retail, I walk and stand all day) and they were wonderful. You do have to be careful not to go rock climbing or something, they can scratch easy! I love, love, love these boots...wish I had also bought them in black before they sold out in my size. Worth every penny!

Fabulous!
Got these boots for Christmas and I want to wear them constantly. They're stylish, comfortable and flattering. Everyone comments on them. Plus, they're adjustable because of the laces so I was able to make them really conform to my feet. One of my favorite new shoes for going out or just walking around town.

Five stars for the look, zipper and leather. The Leiden is such a great looking boot that it can be worn with most anything. After reading all 22 reviews, I ordered my usual size only to have to return them for a half size larger. This is a beautiful basic lace-up boot!

Inside of boots seem a little cheaply made and leather scratches easily and is very thin. Not a shoe for long term durability, but very nice looks, and will need care when wearing them alot. Inside seems like a vinyls plastic type and like I said seems a little thin.

These boots are no match for my fat calves.
I thought that maybe a size 11 would have a roomier size at the top as well, but they don't. I think these boots would have been very comfortable if I could have zipped them.

I think I'll buy a 2nd pair.
I LOVE these boots! I want to wear them everyday! They are so comfortable and good looking and I get compliments almost every time I put them on. Money well spent. I think I'll buy a 2nd pair just to have on hand for when these wear out. I cannot imagine not having these in my shoe wardrobe!
