Best shoe in 25 years -
I've been running for 25 years now, have done loads of races (best 5K 17:57), and these are about the BEST shoes I've worn. I'm 5'10, 150lbs and these are perfectly cushioned. I find most shoes are too SOFT and waste energy, but these make my running feel as easy and effortless as any shoe I've used. I've tried probably all brands but I always seem to end up back with ASICS. ASICS like these also breathe REALLY well so your feet don't perspire too much or get hot. FYI I still have a few pairs of ASICS with over 500 miles each and the cushioning is still pretty good and the soles have a lot of mileage left. ASICS are great and THE GEL KAYANO is really great.

My First Asics -
I tried the Kayano 13's and was quite disappointed, due to it having overly firm cushioning, I tried the 12's and it was pure bliss, I am a flatfoot and these offer sufficient support without sacrificing weight. Overall an excellent shoe.

I can run pain free because of these shoes -
6'6" 225 lbs 12-15m a week runner. About four years ago, I broke my foot and had to have surgery. Three years after recovery, I couldn't exercise without getting pain and kept gaining weight. I thought I was doomed to never be pain free and kept blaming the surgery. Someone suggested these shoes and I really put it off because of the price. Eventually I gave in and have been PAIN FREE for over 18 months. Perfect shoe for a big man, I also got Spenco inserts. I wish they had dress shoes, trail shoes, and basketball shoes...

ASICS continues to amaze me -
This is the second pair of Kayano's I have had. I loved the 11's dearly and had no idea Asics could improve it as much as they did. This pair feels a lot lighter than the previous Kayano, and you’ll notice it right out of the box. I would suggest these shoes over the Kinsei because it's more durable, less expensive, and is just as comfortable. GET THESE SHOES!!!

Not worth it -
I've nothing but sore feet and lower legs with these shoes. I tried a smaller size and a spenco insole. This helped a bit, but my heels still hurt. I found there to be very little cushion without the spenco insole. My old Adidas were awesome, but haven't found any new ones that fit as well, so I tried these. I wouldn't buy another pair.

Best Running Shoes Ever!
I have owned several different pairs of these shoes now and have loved them all. They fit and feel great and I highly recommend them.

Flat footed speedster -
I'm a new "very flat footed" runner. I've ran 3-4 miles 2-3 times a week for about 1year now. I ran for the first time with the Kayano 12 today and I noticed a definite lightness to them and a bounce. BUT! I started to notice a pain in my flat left foot arch; it was coming from the arch support of the left shoe. I noticed my feet kept shifting too much forward into the shoe and landing my feet on the wrong spot in the shoe (because I actually got these a half size bigger). Then I noticed a last set of lower shoe lace holes and I further tied the shoes to keep my foot on the right spot (exactly where my heel was supposed to be tucked onto). With the shoe laces holding my ankles in place and preventing my feet from shifting too far forward into the shoe, I noticed a very big difference! My strides were effortless and the cushion was excellent! For the first time I could actually feel my feet springing back up like I actually got an arch! I noticed also that my heel to toe step off was perfect, I could actually see the shoes change the way my feet take on the strides! I thought I had to bring these shoes back, but it was actually just the bigger size that caused forward shifting. Thanks to those last pair of lace holes, my feet are now held in place inside the shoes perfectly! These shoes are very good and very light. In a way, me getting them a half size bigger helped me understand the functionality of the shoe, plus, I got lots more room up front for my toes to air out.

This is a great shoe -
I regularly run 25m a week, 50m/wk when training for races 3-4 times/y. This is a great, very comfortable shoe for my needs!

Asics’s Gel Kayano a great all purpose running shoe -
I have tried New Balance, Adidas and Reebok and this is the by far the best shoe for 100 km/month on different surface.

Not quite perfect -
But much better than the other 2 models I tried.
Arch support is a little on the weak side. My old Nimbus and Cumulus models are better even though they are worn out. Perhaps I need to run in these Kayano's for a few months???

I got these shoes for my husband, and he swears by them. They are the only tennis shoes that give him the comfort he needs for running. Definitely 5 stars!

Absolutely the best -
This is the only running shoe my husband will wear! The fit and comfort are excellent. I wear the women's style and love it, too. This shoe is worth every penny.

Right shoe blues -
I recently purchased the XII after owning the XI for a little over a year. The XI is the most comfortable pair of running shoes I have ever owned. I was excited to receive the XII and I think they are equally as comfortable but there is one problem that is driving me crazy. I cannot get the right shoe to fit my foot the same as the left. Sounds crazy, but I have re-laced, tightened, loosened and nothing works. It feels as though the right shoe is always more loose or tighter than the left shoe no matter what. The only thing I can attribute it to is a manufacturing defect.

Great Fit -
I have wide feet so the 4E sizes are perfect for me. I've been running in Asics for years now. They fit like a glove and are always comfortable right out of the box.

Running shoes –
This is my 6th pair of these shoes. I rotate 2 pairs at a time. I have had great success with my workouts using these shoes. The cushioning effect has helped me keep my Achilles tendonitis in check.

As good as shoes can get -
I bought Asics GT-2100 a year ago, so I thought I would go all out this time. Yep, these Gel-Kayanos are as great as I hoped. Perfect cushioning over any terrain. Very light and very comfortable. I wish I could find dress shoes as comfortable.

One of the best shoes I've ever owned...
This is my second pair of Gel-Kayanos and I'm even happier with this pair than the first one. Aside from the great look and amazing comfort, these shoes will last for an unparalleled amount of time. My last pair lasted through 4 years of hard wear and tear, and I wouldn't be surprised if these last longer. If you're in the market for an amazing gym/running shoe that you'll have for a long time, buy the Gel-Kayano with confidence.

Best shoes for working -
I have had five orthopedic operations over the past four years.
The Asics Gel-Kayano XIIs are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. My job requires standing most of the day. The shoes allow me to work without any foot or back discomfort.
They are a bit expensive- but I will not purchase any other shoe. I have tried other makes of shoe- these are the absolute best.

I used them for 3 months and my left plantar arch began to hurt - a sure sign of shoe failure in my experience.
I looked at the shoe and subtle wear only is noted in the usual spots. Nonetheless, the shoe has failed me and after such limited mileage and such an expensive shoe, this is unacceptable.
I am going BACK to New Balance shoes which have typical 6 month wear times. Too bad I can't get a refund on these - but you can avoid it.

Best Running Shoes Ever!
I have been running off and on for years, and I have to say these shoes are the best I have owned. At age 46, I need superb cushioning and support, and these Asics deliver. I've tried other brands and other styles of Asics, but to me this shoe is simply the best!

Asics does it again! With the help of Zappos.
Let me start by saying I love Zappos! I wear size 16 and I can't go any where to buy shoes "off the rack" and if they have 16s in stock it’s only the ones I don't like. Here on the web site I have choices…What a concept!!!
With that said I bought my Gel-Kayano® XII about 4 weeks ago and they are the best sneakers I have ever owned. I'm 6'3" and 310 pounds (and losing) I walk around 3 to 4 miles a day and before I got these, my shin splints would kill me. I put these on and slowly day after day I had less and less pain. No other shoe has made such a difference in my life. Please keep making and improving on this model and I will keep buying and using them.

The best!
This is my second pair of Kayano's. My last pair were the XI, and I didn't think they could get any better....until I tried on the XII! These shoes are the BEST period! And Zappos was fast as usual!
