Love the look...but could be better made -
I love everything about these boots except for the suede laces. One started to break the third time I wore them. The other followed soon after. They are made of a tiny white string covered w/suede, which easily tears away.
I remedied the problem by getting a shoe repairer to make some using rawhide leather and reattaching the suede tassels. Now they look great!
If you aren't willing to repair, don't buy.

Very Flimsy -
I was so excited to receive my new boots but, to my dismay, the lace broke while I was trying them on. I didn't pull that hard and I haven't even tried the second boot on because I was so upset. The fit was comfortable, but they are a tad bulky.

Not bad -
Very comfortable. But I'm very iffy as to whether I actually like how they look. They're a tad bulky and fit strangely on me - perhaps because I don't have wide calves. Also, as soon as I tried them on for the first time the laces on both tore. Very flimsy.

Just a little off -
These boot are soft and cute but the fit was just a little off for me. I ordered a 6 and a 6.5 to be sure. The 6.5 (my usual size) was too big and too wide. The 6 fit but the Fitzwell insole didn't line up on my foot properly and it was uncomfortable on the ball of my foot. I think if my foot had lined up as the designer intended they would have been great. Also, the laces are delecate, the pair I received had a broken lace. I think these are worth a try, especially if you tend towards a wider foot.

Fitzwell Wide Calf -
I love the look and feel of these boots and with all of the laces, you can make them tighter or looser depending on wearing pants in or outside of them and depending on your size. The only problem is that the loop holes are very very flimsy. The 2nd time I laced up, one on each boot broke --and I didn't pull that hard. Zappos did replace them and I'm being extra extra careful now.

Great boot, flimsy laces -
When I got these boots, I was surprised at how well they fit and how comfortable they were. They are stylish, without being overly "trendy." I didn't want to look like I was a 30-something-year-old trying to look like a teenager. The only problem I had with the boots had to do with the laces. They look really cute, but are made of suede and as soon as I tried to tighten the laces, part of the laces unraveled and I couldn't use them. Zappos was excellent about taking them back and sending me another pair overnight. When I got the new pair, I was EVER SO CAREFULL about tightening them... yet again, they split. I really love the boots, so my husband just picked me up a pair of long black laces at the grocery store for under a buck and they work totally fine. I do wish the laces worked properly, b/c the tassles on them are really cute, but that's okay. Overall, I do recommend the boots - especially for those of us whose calves don't always fit into some of the taller boots!

The great feel of a boot -
I was really impressed with this boot. It was my first time ordering with Zappos and the quality and the comfort of this boot has won me over to be a future customer.

Satisfied Completely -
I simply LOVE them. I did get a 1/2 size larger because I wear thicker socks in the winter. I also have big calves but these fit like a glove. I highly recommend for warmth, comfort and STYLE.

Lace-up Franca boots -
I do love these boots. They are very cozy and warm. I do worry that snow may get through the lacings into the boots though. We'll see. I have a 16" calf and found that this is definitely the limit for these boots. If I were any wider they wouldn't overlap on the sides at all. But they are like walking around in your slippers.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: I would try any of the Fitzwell line...

Too small -
I bought these shoes for a ski trip and I bought a half size larger so I could wear them with thick socks...I tried them on with stockings and I couldn’t even get my foot in them, they are way too small, I will be returning them.
