No Break in Period -
These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. They seem to be well made. The leather is very soft. There is plenty of room for my toes. The arch support provides medium support.

Red Wing Shoes (Work Oxford) Black Size 12 D Leather -
Great shoe for the money and yes made in China. No more Red Wing in Brett Style made in USA. Will outwear most of the competition and Zappos is where you want and need to buy them. Free overnight delivery and they meant it. Got them the next day, so I just ordered two pair, as my 12 D is hard to find and they are a good buy. Go Zappos!

My Boyfriend's Shoes...
My boyfriend is a big fan of Red Wing boots, so when I found Red Wing shoes that looked good and he was already familiar with the brand - I thought this was win-win. He loves the shoes, he says they are very comfortable. I love the way they look with jeans or pants. I'll be looking for a brown pair of Red Wing shoes in the near future.

Excellent shoes!
Great shoes, dressy but comfortable for a day of walking. I will definitely purchase again! I wear a 10.5 narrow and have not found a finer fitting shoe.

I have flat feet and have found that without a heel and good support my back and feet hurt after being on my feet all day. These shoes have pretty much remedied the problem.

Red Wing Brett - very good shoe -
As a heavy guy with XXW(4E) feet, I was delighted to find these shoes. They are dressy enough for all but the most formal occasions, are VERY comfortable, and are solidly constructed. What's not to like? One reviewer felt that these shoes are overpriced. I disagree; these are well worth the money.

Most Comfortable All Day Shoe Ever!!
I bought these shoes for my father, who has a LOT of trouble with his feet. He had some events where he was required to be on his feet (including dancing, etc!). My dad says (everyday...) how comfortable they are- fit perfectly and his legs are not sore at all!

Nice shoes -
I normally get a wider shoe but it wasn't available in this style by Red Wing so I decided to give these a try. The shoes seemed a little tight when I put them on but have adapted very well to my feet and are super comfortable now.

Nice fit, nice shoe -
I was worried about whether or not the shoe would fit properly, not having owned this brand before. Turned out to fit great on the first try! Nice, light weight shoe. Before ordering, I would have liked to know where the shoe was made (China), but in the end, that probably wouldn't have altered my decision to purchase.

Great shoes - but looking down at them I thought "I have really really big feet" - which I do 13EE. Moral: Don't expect these shoes to make your feet look smaller. Very comfortable shoes. I could wear them all of the time.

My husband loves these -
I ordered my husband who is a diabetic a pair of Red Wing Brett style shoes. He has no need for daily dress shoes as he is a laborer. I told him to try them on, he said that they felt great. The best dress shoe he has tried on in a long time. He has very wide feet and he said they felt fine, not tight at all, no break in period. They have a thicker sole than his older dress shoes, but he said that would be better for his feet as he is on the heavier side and would hold up better. Another thing is that when we ordered the shoes at 10 pm est, they were in our house the next day by 3 pm we were so pleased by the quick service. Thanks.

Large platform shoe -
The Brett fits great around the heel and instep for my narrow feet. The shoe is a large platform. It has a large look about it. The wax laces loosen up during the day.

A success!!
My husband has wide feet, and very, very high arches. He must have tried on 20 pairs of shoes at shops and from on line orders. These were the best he found (Ambulators also worked for him). The Red Wings are comfortable, and a nice looking shoe. They needed no breaking in. They are a bit heavy, but more handsome than the other pair he found. He says he used to wear Red Wing boots, and loved them, so was very happy that these shoes fit.

I am very happy with this shoe. I use it on the days where I am on my feet a lot and/or doing a lot of walking. It is comfortable, light, and fits well. I have a narrow foot so I was happy to find it in a width that fit me.

The shoe seemed bigger than marked. It is a comfortable shoe, but not significantly more comfortable than other shoes like it. I can't complain overall, I like the way they look and feel, but I can't help but feel I could have gotten the same quality and comfort at a lesser price.

I needed a brown shoe and this was the only one I could find that would fit my foot. I also ordered a Propet Black wingtip shoe. These Red Wings are far and away the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. They are very solidly constructed and super comfortable, (I'm a 300 pounder walking in theses shoes)...man they feel good. Trying to find them in black now. From now on…will buy no other dress shoe but these.
