These are comfortable shoes. They also don\'t look bad for schoes that comfortable. They so seem to run small. My "normal" shoe size is 36.5. I ordered the 37 and those were too small. I had to order these in 8. I should have ordered them in 37.5, but those weren\'t available.

Great for work!
I have this pair in black and in tinum. I have low arches and feet that are probably on the border of medium width and wide. These fit great and are super comfortable. Since the straps are not adjustable, I probably would not walk miles in these - but for walking around the office, walking around the city, i.e. shorter distances, it is perfect and super comfortable. They look very nice, too, and can easily go with upscale business attire including suits, so for work purposes and dressy occasions, these are excellent - the most comfortable 2" heels I own.

I really wanted to like these. They are so comfortable, but unfortunately they run very narrow and small. I even tried ordering larger sizes as suggested by other reviews. The problem with the width is that the lower strap hits right at the start of the widest part of the foot so it just doesn't look good. Going back.

I have terrible osteoarthritis in one foot and cannot wear many shoes. I needed a nice sandal for a wedding and really was at my wits end trying to figure out what I could wear that I could actually walk in. I bought these in the silver and they were just what I needed. Soooo comfortable, they fit well (although the top band was a little tight on my arthritic foot) and I could walk and was comfortable. Yahooo! They run a little small, I always wear a 40, and had to go to a 41. Like walking on a cloud, but dressy enough for a wedding. Thanks to Zappos! They are so wonderful about returns and I could try so many styles until I found these.

Straps not adjustable -
This sandal was comfortable, has nice curve in the front but the straps were too big for my foot. The width of the footbed was fine but the strap near the toes barely touched my foot. If this was another brand I would put a pad under the ball of my foot but I can't see doing that with a shoe that is already has a very comfortable foot bed.

Not for me -
The straps on this shoe were just too far apart to make it comfortable. The front strap was too far up and the back strap was so far back that it kept me from being able to slide my foot all the way in. Despite looking good, these had to be returned.

Great except for one thing...
I have been diligently searching for a comfortable walking shoe that has some height, is a slip-on, and has style. This fits the bill except for the fact that the shoes feel as if they are falling off when I am walking (one other person had mentioned this... most people found the shoe to be narrow however). The footbed is very comfortable and both the black metalack and the nickel reflet are attractive for a walking show. Several people stated that it was necessary to order one to two sizes up. I wear an 8-8 1/2 and ordered the 10 (which I couldn't imagine doing!), but lengthwise they were perfect.

These are really cute sandals, but they run really wide. I have a wide foot and I'm slipping out of them. The biggest problem is that the straps aren't adjustable. So if the leather stretches -- which it does when you wear them for even a little while -- you have an almost unwearable shoe. The colors are great, though. Just wish I could get the Elka in these colors.

This shoe is very pretty but runs very small and is a bit narrow. I take a size 8 and the 39 that I ordered was much too short to the point where my heel was coming off the back. I feel that it should be ordered 2 sizes larger than usual.

Mephisto Naiade -
Unfortunately I have to return these as the piece across the toes cuts into the side of my big toe and it hurts. Since I have a troublesome left foot I have to have loose fitting shoes. I will be looking for a replacement on Zappos because their customer service is wonderful.

Super cute and comfortable too!
I ordered these in platinum perl and they are SO cute! I had to send them back and order one size up as my heels hung over the end a little. These are very cute for day and night, casual and dress up! I can't say enough nice thins about Zappos - they are fast, flexible and easy to work with. Prompt customer service has made them a hit with me!!!!!

Shoe felt too narrow much narrower than other Mephisto’s. I went up a full size and it still cuts from the shoe bed; not the straps which are fine.

Very comfortable -
This is a very comfortable, fashionable sandal that goes with everything from day to night. I did need however to order a 40 (I normally wear an 8 ½).

Cute and Comfortable, too -
I usually wear size 8, but in this shoe with European sizing I had to get the 39 which says 8.5-9. I just did not want my toes or heel hanging off. These shoes are about the cutest shoes ever--especially when they are called comfort shoes. I love them so much I ordered 2 pairs--one in brown and one in pearl.

Comfortable AND good looking!
Nice to have a dressier sandal that is comfortable too. The footbed is much softer than other Mephisto sandals. I like firm support, but this is OK. This sandal runs SHORT by a half if not a whole size.

This shoe looks pretty, but fails to provide adequate support. My foot keeps flopping over the side. It needs a heel strap to keep it in place. Definitely size up one size.

I have a friend who swears by Mephisto but this particular shoe was awkward and felt like it would fly off of my foot at any moment. I have a high arch but for some reason the straps would not stay put. The sole felt very comfortable-- if only I could have gotten the shoe to stay on.

Great Summer Work/Play Shoe -
This shoe is really cute and comfortable -- and a step up from the Mobils series as far as the business casual look goes. The Rhinestone accents dress it up a little -- to wear with slacks, skirts, even a casual dress. Very comfortable. I'm always worried about stepping out of open-back shoes, but these stay on with no problem. I wore them all day on my feet (conducting corporate training) for the first day with no problem areas. These are a little narrower than the Mobils series, especially across the toes. Dressy enough to go business or out to dinner events, but comfortable! A little pricey, but comfort means a lot when you are on your feet, so I'm willing to pay.
Zappos service is incredible! These shoes were at my door 12 hours after I ordered them!

I was so genuinely impressed that I wanted to send you all a note of thanks. Thanks for being the genuine article! My entire adult work life I have tried to promote a happy, customer focused work environment. While I have always been extremely productive from being authentic and caring, certain supervisors looked at my ways as being suspect and a little weird. Yes, it's true they felt a respectful, caring attitude was a waste of time and actually did not care if their current customers were satisfied. How they didn't equate that current happy customers equals monetary success now and later through referrals is still beyond me. They also never "got it" that their incredibly high employee turnover cost them dearly. Trained, happy people produce positive results. I worked with a company as a manager for the past 8 years that went through 29 managers in the 2 locations closest to me in my 1st two years of employment. Finally I decided to leave after not being able to effect positive change in my boss. Amazingly at Zappos the positive goes CEO down and back up - way to go! Being the eccentric optimist I am, I left my job and figured I'd have a great job in no time. Unfortunately, I am still looking for a positive, proactive position and was getting a little blue until I read the article tonight about Zappos. The great news is that my faith has been restored. There actually is a company that values what is really important and not just in a PR lip-service kind of way. I wish you all enormous success, big bucks, and happiness. I hope that your corporate culture spreads out like wild-fire to other businesses so that people like me who live it and believe it can experience it in our careers. If my husband wasn't off serving in Iraq, I'd probably be there beating down the door for a job, but it is in extremely bad form to sell the house and move away while the husband is out of the country for a year.
I most sincerely appreciate: Your Zappos core values that you really follow. Your supporting your employees to learn more, be happier
