This is a great backpack. Very comfortable and spacious. I do have one problem though. One of the pockets comes unzipped on its own and sometimes takes 5 or more re-zips to fix it.

Great backpack! Not only is this an attractive backpack, but it is made very well: sturdy zippers, ample room for all college books, insulated pouch/compartment works great.

This is a wonderful pack. This is the second one I have purchased for my now college bound daughter. The last one lasted for all 4 years of high school and we only had to replace it because teeth came out of the zipper. The pack itself looked almost like new still. She was very hard on it, too. She carried most of her heavy textbooks with her all the time.

I bought this backpack for my daughter (ten years old) for school as a surprise. She fell in love with the bag, the interior more than anything. It is a great, solid bag with sturdy construction. It is not flimsy in any way and the hook to hang it with is a wonderful design. It does not rub on her neck. There is room for everything, a laptop area that is padded can be used for homework. Great bag! I'd buy this brand again in a heartbeat without worry.

This backpack is absolutely amazing! It has so many compartments and pockets for storage. The fleece lined pockets for an iPod and phone come in handy and are a great idea. I can't wait to use it when I go back to school! I recommend this product to anyone who's looking for a backpack that's worth the money. The free shipping and returns that Zappos offers are another great reason to buy. There is no reason not to order and try it out.

Great Bag. I just got this a little while ago, and while I haven't gotten to use it very much (Besides testing it out), I love it! The straps are comfortable, and my 15.4" laptop fits in there just fine (a little tight, due to a larger battery). The inside details are cute, and I'm overall thrilled! I hope it holds up for years to come because it's really cute!

Great backpack. The insulated front pocket is great for carrying food and drinks. The laptop pocket inside is great for stashing things other than a laptop - shoes, books, magazines. Comfortable on the back, even when full.

I was looking for a bag for my laptop that was easy on the shoulders and had pockets for everything and this one was it! I love the extras, like for your sunglasses, the side water bottle feature, and the different pockets in front for all your stuff. The only thing I would change is I'm used to having two zippers per pocket so you're forced to all the way open and close to get things in and out of the front pockets. BUT, it does keep it more safe and looks sleeker without all the zippers hanging around. The main pocket where you put your computer does have two zippers and that's where it counts the most. I have a 15" Mac and it just fits into the provided sleeve in the backpack. Love it!

DaKine Hawaiian Style Backpack -
I ordered this backpack for my July month-long trip to Hawaii. I've used it for awhile now… it's comfortable to "wear", has room for my laptop & camera, supplies for a daylong hike, and enough clothing for a weekend trip. I absolutely love the brown & pink Hawaiian print!

At first I was a little skeptical... I’m 35 and a professional artist, but needed a new backpack when I decided to walk/bike commute to work. I was afraid it would look too "studenty", and I was going to get plain black, but my daughter talked me into getting the brown with fall stripe color, and I love it! It’s girly without looking silly, with the bright orange dot lining and embroidery on the back. My Mac Book fits snugly in the laptop pocket, and there’s room to spare inside for the power cords, my sketchbook, my small purse, digital camera, and a jacket! I love the insulated pocket for my lunch... why hasn’t anybody thought of this before? Surprisingly awesome bag and I don’t feel like a college student or too frumpy/nerdy like most laptop bags look. Thanks for your amazing fast delivery, too... I ordered it at 6pm on Sunday and was amazed to see it waiting at my door when I got home from work on Tuesday, especially with free shipping. Used it for the first time today on my 3 mile bike commute, and it’s as comfortable to wear as it is cute.

I've had this for a few weeks and so far it seems to be living up to the reviews. In addition to being one of the more attractive laptop backpacks I've found, it's fairly roomy without being unwieldy and well organized for a variety of uses, not to mention the particularly delightful insulated pocket which I've not seen before. Thus far it suits traveling to and from grad classes well and doesn't shift when riding on a motorcycle. Good construction and a great design - the next test is time!

Why didn't I find this my freshman year???
I love the backpack! I have never purchased anything else from Dakine, but so far, I am a fan. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and the bottom of the bag doesn't dig into my back. What is actually 20-30 pounds of weight feels more like 10 pounds in this pack. The weight is evenly distributed which gives light-weight effect. I love the cooler compartment, very handy; I use it a lot as a commuter. My 15" macbook fits perfectly in the laptop compartment, even with the laptop zipper case. It is really padded on the bottom so you don't have to worry about damaging your laptop when your bag hits the floor too hard. One of the smaller side pockets could also be used as a water bottle holder. The only thing that didn't impress me was the liner fabric. It just seems frail and thin to me. I have only been using the bag for a few weeks, and it has held up really well so far... but we'll see. At least the liner is really cute! Overall, I love the backpack and would recommend this to anyone who has to carry a heavy load, or is just looking for something more stylish!

I love this backpack! I have a Mac powerbook 15" and it fits perfectly. There are 3 outter pockets that work great for accessories like your power cord, pencils, and the cooler pocket is good for your drinks. It's pretty cute too!

This is the most awesome backpack I've ever owned! I looked very hard for the perfect bag for school. It's very comfy and stylish! It's feminine, yet not too girly. It holds my 15" laptop and a couple of books, food, and other stuff just right. I would definitely recommend this backpack. I love the inside paisley design! It's just as sturdy as it is cute! BTW, I received it in 2 days! Thanks again Zappos!

My 12 year daughter just loves it. The shoulder straps are a great fit and the bag can hold quite a bit of stuff. She really likes the insulated pouch. I would recommend it for sure!

Best Backpack I've Owned!
I just got my Dakine Prom backpack the other day, and it is really nice. It's roomy and has lots of specialized compartments. The laptop sleeve holds my Macbook easily. I probably pack light compared to most people, but the main compartment holds enough clothes for a week-long trip for me, with room to spare. The sunglasses pouch holds my glasses or other small items like a wallet with ease. The insulated cooler pouch is the perfect size for my fit & fresh lunch container. The organizer pouch has room for my iPod Nano and phone plus all necessary cords, chargers, etc. The size and strap design are very comfortable and seem to be designed for someone with a small frame, although the straps could be adjusted as needed. Because of the strap design, the weight is distributed more evenly and there is nothing putting pressure on my back or chafing my shoulders. The bag seems to be durable and well-made. I appreciate that the zippers are more heavy duty than those found on most backpacks. As an added bonus, the bag (I have the Ocean Plaid pattern) is very cute and stylish. I've had more expensive bags that weren't nearly as functional, so this is a great buy!

My perfect travel pack -
I searched high and low for the perfect computer backpack to take on the plane when I travel. I had trouble finding one that was big enough for my laptop, yet not too large overall. I also wanted compartments for everything I might need on the plane, since I wouldn't be carrying anything else.
The Dakine Prom met all of my requirements, and even has a cute, feminine look. It was very comfortable to carry--even while running across the airport to catch a connecting flight. I'm glad I didn't settle for something else before finding this pack. I love it; and, as usual, Zappos service was stellar!
