I measured my foot and ordered accordingly. Even though I thought the size I had calculated was too large, I ordered per instructions from Zappos. To make it short - perfect fit, perfect shoe, perfect service, and all for a really good price. I'll definitely order again. Thank you.

This is a fantastic sneaker, very comfortable from the first time I put it on. Would highly recommend them. I shattered my ankle 8 months ago, so was looking more for comfort and support and these sneakers deliver on both very well. As far as Zappos is concerned, the company is great. Fast shipping and friendly service.

Great Shoe for Bad Feet -
I've been buying New Balance for 20 years because no other shoe provides the comfort. Early on, the shoes I bought did not require orthotics for comfort. But my feet have gotten worse with time, and I now require orthotics. I'd love to find another shoe style (for variety) but the M992 is the only shoe that provides the comfort I require.

10 minute a mile runner -
This is my fourth pair of New Balance M992 (and its predecessor model(s)) dating back to the mid 1990s. I updated after about 3 years on my last pair because it seemed like I was always just jogging. The first time I ran with the new ones the difference was incredible; running is so much easier and fun that they literally forced me to run faster. I cut almost a minute off my one mile time. They also last “forever” I still use my first pair for dirty work like mowing the grass and gardening after over ten years. My other two pairs are so comfortable and well broken in for walking that they will continue to be my walking shoes around the house and informal occasions. However, after running with the new pair I realize I should probably get a new pair after two years in the future. I will reevaluate next year, but I think the spring in them will last for two seasons. I don’t remember the make of the ones I bought before my first New Balance shoes, but I do remember that I was so impressed with my first pair of New Balance shoes that I decided they would be my future running shoes. Of course the new ones fit perfectly because the size of my previous ones is under the tongue of the shoe and they had fit perfectly.

New Balance M992 the greatest -
This shoe was everything that I hoped for. I have a narrow long foot and the size I ordered was true to size. The shoe is well constructed and was totally comfortable right from the start. No break-in needed. This is a great shoe and Zappos is a great company to deal with. They are first class all the way.

A shame...
These are built just as well as 990/991, but the heel is too high and way too firm. Also, the sizing is WAY off on these. A full size larger and a full width wider than the previous model at a given size easily.

Excellent quality shoes -
I purchased these after wearing Brooks Beast and Brooks Adrenaline for the past several years. The M992's are most similar to the Beast as look and feel like a very heavy duty bulky shoe. The build quality and comfort is excellent and they look as if they will last for a few years. I have some rather thick orthotics that I transferred over from my Brooks Adrenaline shoes and they fit very well in the M992's. Although these are made in the USA, they are usually a size smaller then your street shoes. In other words, if you wear a size 8 shoe, you need a size 8 1/2 for the M992.

I've had this shoe before. Same this time as before. I'm 52 and am running for health, not competition. The shoe is deep enough for my orthotics, well cushioned, moderate support. My favorite.

NB M992 are terrific -
I introduced my husband to these about 7 years ago - he is a long distance runner - and good running shoes are important. These are just perfect for him to do his training in and we do replace them at least once a year - I would recommend this shoe to anyone - I am sure once you purchase them, you will love them too.

Replacement for the 991 -
I bought this shoe as a replacement for some 991's I used to have. I loved them, and got these shoes to replace them. I have weird feet, and these come in all kinds of sizes. They felt very true to size, except there is not a lot of vertical room by my toes. I prefer a slightly looser fit, but these are still comfortable.

Wonderful on my feet -
Have had these shoes before and use them for work. Am on my feet all day and they provide the support I need. They are worth the money to me. I have tried less expensive shoes and end up having to replace them more often. For me I can get buy replacing these every 6-8 months. A great shoe.

Very good all around shoe.
I ordered this shoe about two weeks ago and it arrived promptly. I haven't had a chance to wear it for long periods yet, but it seems to be well constructed and fit well. I'll use it as a general purpose shoe. I like New Balance shoes as they come in wide sizes, which fit me well.

I have purchased New Balance walking shoes and was satisfied with them. I thought NB running shoes would be as good or better, because of the ability to absorb impact.
This shoe was a total flop. I put them on and took a walk, and it was like walking on a metal grate in stockinged feet. In order for me to use them, I had to use an insert from another pair of shoes to make walking bearably painful.

Almost Perfect -
This is a great walking/running shoe. I do a high speed walk on a treadmill with a steep incline. The shoe actually is comfortable and absorbs whatever shock I might feel with the foot hitting the treadmill. Only downside is the usual sneaker downside - the shoelaces are too long and unravel easily unless you're mindful of that.

The Best Sport Shoe -
These are the best sport shoe I have ever owned. This is my second pair, and I will continue to keep purchasing. They have great support, and a really nice cushion feel to them that lasts! Buy them you won't regret it!
