Very nice boots. They seem slightly larger than stated size, but I knew that before I bought them and wanted to leave room for some insoles to add some cushion so they seem perfect with the insoles I added and now that they are broken in they are really comfortable. I am looking forward to wearing these boots often!

Outstanding craftsmanship, gorgeous color (chocolate), and unmatched comfort. Have received tons of compliments. My wife has a pair she gets a lot of attention in (color: dark brown crazy horse). True to size with medium thick socks. Will buy others.

So I've been wanting these insanely sexy boots for sometime now. Just picking up these one of kind boots got me all excited. Each boot is so unique in the way the leather reveals its character. They look totally different in a totally unified way, with all the streaks, crackles and different patterns that makes really them also really cool to look at. As for the comfort, I'm a long time boot enthusiast, first time Frye customer and right out of the box they fit like a glove and are one of the most comfortable fits ever! Sizing is true to fit so order your size. You want these boots to fit snugly, and they'll perfectly shape to your foot. I just got them and I can't wait to rock them out around town! Also, this is my first purchase with Zappos, first online purchase of clothes and it's been an awesome experience; I was expecting them in 4 to five days and my boots arrived the very next day! If that isn't great customer service, I have no idea what is. I've already ordered another pair of shoes from Zappos and will try to make it the only place I shop for shoes from now on. Keep it up Zappos!

By far these are the coolest boots I have ever owned. It took me a year to decide on the harness boot vs. the campus or carson or billy boot. Everytime I wear them I get "Nice Boots" from everyone I see. Fantastic comfort, no break in time, totally durable, beautiful quality leather, can wear with every outfit in my closet (brown, black, any color)They are called Chocolate but they are more of a grayish brown with really dark and really light variations, so unique.

Great boots!
I love these boots. The color is a little lighter than I imagined (Dark Brown), but I am sure they will darken up after a good shine. After reading the reviews here on Zappos, I ordered a 9 1/2 which is a half size smaller than what I usually purchase and they fit perfectly.

I’ve owned Frye boots and other boot brands for some time now and I can say they make a great product. All boots seem too tight upon first trial of wearing, but leather will stretch to fit in time. I never wore a boot that never required me buying a comfortable insole for better arch support... If one boot feels tighter than its mate, its not that the boot is missized/mated to the other, its that you may have a slightly larger foot than the other. These boots are not super tall nor are they Platform boots(?). They should fit to your mid calf at average or so height.

Unbelievably fabulous!
I've got huge feet for a woman, and usually mens shoes look like, well, mens shoes. But I thought I'd give these a try. My womens size 12 fit perfectly into the men's size 10.5, and I look fabulous in them! I'm ordering them in black next. They are cute, sturdy, stylish, and they fit! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Zappos!

The boots are very good looking and appear to be very well made. The only problem I have with them is the right boot seems a little tighter than the left making it harder to get on and off.

Super cute shoes!! Very comfy too, but BEWARE! These shoes are sky high, and not for those new to the world of platforms. Balance and coordination are required to walk in these. They are a little glam and a little punk with the studs at the toe. They look great with pants or skirts, and are comfy to walk in. The strap across the toe area was a bit smaller than I expected, but it is still great. I normally wear an 8.5 but got these in 9 just to be on the safe side and they fit PERFECT, so I would say they run about 1/2 size smaller than normal. LOVE EM!

For Women purchasing this boot for themselves -
It is a bit irritating that Frye does not produce Women's sizes above a Women's 11. However, there is an absolutely gorgeous alternative. I bought this boot in brown and I LOVE IT. I wear a dead on Women's size 12 medium (B) and I took the advice of another woman reviewer and ordered a Men's 10 1/2. They are an absolutely PERFECT fit. For this to be the case, these boots must definitely be slightly narrower than marked. (Apparently I'm not the first women to discover this since a Men's 10 1/2 is a size Zappos seems to sell out of very quickly.) The boots have a nice sleek, sculptured, urban rustic look that provides a great compliment to a pair of jeans or cords. Again, these boots really are not a D width and don't look the least bit wide or bulky. They are super comfortable and provide good arch support. The boots are of excellent craftsmanship (rarely seen anymore) and very worth the money. I couldn't be happier and I'm going to purchase another pair in black.

Nice!
Very well constructed, durable, "bomber built" boots. Mine don’t have the support that I was wanting at the ball of my foot, but it's nothing an insole couldn't fix. Anyways, great shoes, they look awesome!

Another success w/Zappos -
I ordered these for my husband...he absolutely loves them...I had ordered a pair of Harley boots at the same time and didn't like them. I returned them...Zappos was quick and efficient as usual...I...in turn...ordered myself the Harness boots and love them. They do run big...order down. I refer my friends and family to Zappos...my favorite site. :)

I wish I had been born with these attached to my feet.
I love them and my girlfriend loves them. They're sturdy and look good with everything. Most importantly, they are very comfortable. I was worried a little when I first tried them on because I was able to lift my heel and shift around a little too much. That went away quickly and the boots fit snugger as the day went on. I highly recommend these boots.

I love my Frye boots.
...These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They felt broken in right out of the box. They look and feel fantastic. To me these boots were true to size. I am a new fan of Frye boots. So much so I threw my other boots out in the garbage. Will purchase another pair in black. I love my new boots. Thanks Frye and buy them here on Zappos. Great Boots -
They are pretty tight the first time you put them on, but just wear them for a little while and they break-in nicely. These are the first boots I have owned since I was pretty young, but I will definitely buy more Fryes. They look amazing.

These are the boots I wanted in '73 -- worth the wait!
When I was in high school, only the coolest, richest kids actually had real Frye boots. I was neither, and had to make do with a series of cheap knockoffs. Now, at last, I can afford the best!
This is a great boot! The one thing you need to be aware of is that the finish is purposely "distressed." I didn't know that when I got it, and thought at first it was a bad pair. Then I put them on and realized that nothing that feels so good on your feet could be a "bad pair." The distressed finish looks great with jeans.
These are the boots I wanted in 1973...and I finally got them. Worth the wait!

Same workmanship as in years past?
Though the Frye Harness looks great, upon closer inspection, quality has been cut. From boot to boot, leathers may not match. Also it’s very dry from the dying process...they'll need conditioning. The sales lady and two other peopled I've talked to said to expect major heal slippage. I've found this to be true and have purchased heel pads to counter the problem. Also, expect a very heavy pair of boots! But they look great.

I love this boot -
Bought this boot in Light Brown, a color that's hard to find around here and it looks excellent. I have a wide foot, but these felt great and remember quality leather stretches. Tough, true to size, good looking in a pair of boot cut jeans, what more can you ask for? They feel good on the foot too. I wear these for extended periods without foot fatigue. Love 'em. Zappos is excellent.

These boots are amazing. I placed the order and Zappos had them to me very fast. Their shipping is top notch. I opened the box and put the boots on, this being my first boot I was confused as to how tight they go on. But after 3 days they were amazing and getting better each day. If you do not have Frye boots, get them. The quality of this boot is 5 star... priced just right, I will be purchasing more soon. Thank you.

Mind-blowing boot -
These are REALLY good looking boots. I have been asked on many occasions where I got them and I tell them "The best and biggest shoe store in the world, Zappos!"
They were really difficult to put on at first and uncomfortable when walking for long periods of time but THIS IS NORMAL. You want your boot to be tight so it will mold tightly to your foot.
I wore them daily for a month and now they are the most comfortable footwear I have EVER owned. They now fit perfectly and are much easier to take on and off. Just make sure you clean them often & care for them well.
Frye makes the best boots... period.
