I was really hoping these shoes would be a good change from heels; however, everything I read in the reviews turned out to be opposite for me. I ordered my usual size, but it was huge! These look like clown shoes on me. Also, I found the toe box very tight (not roomy like others described). I wore them around the house for a few minutes and they made my feet very sweaty, and I didn't notice a difference with the negative heel at all. Back to Zappos for another try!

I love these shoes! I was having some significant foot pain that was causing muscle pain through my legs and back. Fortunately I already owned a pair of Earth winter boots and knew that those kept the pain at bay. I bought these shoes and turned them into my "just about every day" shoe and my foot pain has gone away entirely. The foot pain issue has improved so much that I can even switch away from these for a day or so with only minor discomfort (any longer and the pain comes right back). As sad as I am to have to give away every other pair of shoes I own, I'm excited to have the opportunity to buy more Earth shoes! I'm so glad that an attractive pair of shoes exist for my feet!

It sounds dramatic - but these shoes changed my life! Before, my feet and lower back hurt after every work shift - even short ones (I work in a café on my feet.) A friend recommended these - I wasn\'t sure about spending the money, but Zappos\' 365 day return policy + free shipping were very reassuring. :) Anyway, I have worn the shoes for 3 or 4 shifts now, and they feel amazing! Personally I did not find the inverse heel difficult to get used to at all, and found the sizing to be accurate. My left heel rubbed on wrong and I have a sore there, but I\'m guessing they just need to be broken in. For me, that\'s a decent trade against sore feet and back! Also love that they are appropriate for when I find a "grown up" job. \r\n\r\nI highly recommend these shoes!

A friend of mine recommended Earth shoes to me because I work retail and so I’m on my feet 40 hours a week. She said she had a pair and she loved them and they had lasted her forever. I had another pair of Birkenstock dress mary janes I wear and they don't hurt my feet when I work and they also don't hurt after I work when I take them off. The Earth Solar Vegans do hurt my feet when I have them on and when I take them off. I don’t know if it’s because my feet are extremely narrow, but the strap does not work for me and it hurts my heels. I was sad because I wanted this shoe to work b/c it’s cute, but just didn't work for me.

This shoe is extremely comfortable and is great for anyone with back problems. I ordered a 9, which is my normal size and it was a perfect fit. I have two other pairs of Earth shoes. This was my first time ordering from Zappos and I was very pleased. I received my shoes the next day, as promised. The return policy is wonderful also. I have referred this site to my family and friends.

Vegan shoes -
I ordered the Earth Solar Vegan shoe at the request of my daughter. The shoe is very well made and extremely comfortable. Since it is difficult to purchase quality styled shoes that are not made of leather or animal skins, this shoe is definitely a find. Thanks for your quick delivery and wonderful product.

Cute Vegan Shoes!
I've been looking for a cute, vegan shoe that was comfortable enough to stand in all day. The negative heel felt a little odd at first, but it feels great after wearing them for a couple of weeks. I like the stability that the shoe offers, and the wiggle room in the toe box. The back of the shoe did rub my Achilles tendon quite a bit, even through socks and tights. This, too, improved after wearing them for two weeks. I do wish that they had a regular buckle, rather than a velcro closure. The velcro has a tendency to snag my tights. Yikes!

A great alternative to heels :)
These shoes are a dream come true. Seriously, I spent the better part of two years hobbling around my office in cheap plastic heels until I found these little vegan miracles. They took about a week to break-in, and I got achy shins from being forced to walk heel-to-toe, but now I can be on my feet for 8 hours a day and still run after the bus--my feet feel freaking fantastic.

My new favorite shoes!
My first pair of Earth shoes, and I'm loving them. The negative heel is wonderful. They took a couple of wearings to break-in the strap around my foot and the back of the shoe by my ankle (just needed a couple band aids for a bit:) but, now they are perfectly comfortable! I would definitely recommend these shoes. Love the look of them as well, very versatile.

I really like them, but...
These shoes really are great, despite the fact that I can only give them 4 stars. The reasons: they're really cute, aside from this silly flap of material on the heel that makes them look like shoes my grandmother might wear. Still cute with a skirt, but not as cute as they could be. Overall the shoes are really comfortable, although I have tall (as opposed to wide) feet, so the strap took a little breaking in. One other issue: they sort of smell like plastic/vinyl when they're really warm (in the sun after wearing them all day). I still love them, but I may have to try a different style of Earth shoes next time.

Wonderful shoes!
For the past 2 years I have had problems wearing enclosed shoes due to a problem with my toes. I have tried all brands and styles of shoes, but every pair caused my toes to hurt. The instant I put the Earth shoes on, it was heaven! I was a little apprehensive about getting them because of reviews about the heel, but they didn't bother me a bit and I wore them for 5 hours straight... standing on my feet the entire time. I have a very narrow foot, but with the strap they fit well. I will be trying other styles as well. I would highly recommend these to everyone.

Great work shoe!
These shoes were one of the only shoes I can wear for work (retail) and not have my feet throb in pain when come home. I bought a brown pair as well and have received many compliments on them. My doctor even commented on how much she liked them. I recommend them highly.

My Favorites!
I have two pairs of these Solar Vegan shoes and love the way they feel, look, and last. I'm kind of hard on shoes, but these are great. I've worn them for a lot of walking and the sole hasn't shown any wear.

Great Shoes!
I love these shoes so much; I got them in black and brown! It's always hard for me to find good vegan shoes that are comfortable and stylish. These are great for work, or just for walking around. These definitely fit true to size - I own a pair of vegan earth boots in the same size, but those felt about half a size bigger than these. I have worn these both with and without socks.

My first pair of Earth shoes...very pleased. No break in time (in my experience, at least), and the only reason I gave it 4 stars for comfort is because they DO get a bit sweaty throughout the day. Otherwise I absolutely love this shoe. I plan on buying more Earth shoes, and of course purchasing them through Zappos.com.

Diminished back and foot pain!
I am a waitress and a nurse aid. I have not experienced any of my usual back and foot pain since wearing these shoes. True to fit and well worth the price! I find myself wearing them a lot even when I'm not at work.

It's LOVE!
I love these shoes. I thought about getting them for about a year before making the plunge. But the investment paid off, these shoes are absolutely perfect. I thought the negative heel thing might bother me but it doesn't feel different than a regular shoe. The "bed" of the shoe is plenty roomy and comfy. I could walk all day in these and be fine.

Very comfortable shoes, well made, nice style. It seems to run a bit small. If you don't want a snug shoe consider a half size larger especially if you intend to wear socks/stockings. Also, the strap rides high, just at the crease between your foot and your leg. Otherwise, it's all good. Enjoy!

Smaller than Expected -
I own two other pairs of Earth shoes, both are size 8 1/2, so I ordered this in a size 8 1/2 too. However, for some strange reason they were really small, especially the left foot. Luckily exchanging them for a size 9 was really easy and they are wonderful shoes. I highly recommend them!

These shoes are great. I don't want to take them off when I get home. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day. These are the only shoes that keep my feet from aching at the end of the day!

I love these shoes!
I've been researching negative heels and decided to take the plunge. I just got these and absolutely love them! I'm a size 8, and a lot of times need a wide width. These fit perfectly, are extremely comfortable and look great! No problem at all walking in them. Little by little I'm getting rid of my other shoes and replacing them with Earth shoes. Try it - you won't be sorry!

Breaking in period -
I loved my Earth Vegan Karmas - right up to the point where a flat tire broke a strap (still planning to get them fixed). So I thought the e.v. Solar would be a good addition for the winter, and I think I am right, but it is a good thing I bought them early. These are the kind of shoes that you know will be comfortable once you get past the break in period. Great arch support, love the low heel, but wow what big blisters I have on the heels! The shoes and I are getting along well enough for now with socks on (yeh it looks funny but is practical). They tend to be quite wide, but it gives your yoga toes room to stretch. I found the sizing true. It may take someone who is not used to wearing earth shoes a little time to get used to the different stance they give you, but for lots of walking (New York style) and standing (New York subway style) these can't be beat.
