Great! My husband loves them. I bought these boots for my husband, who never does his own shopping! He is a wide width, which can be hard to find. Thank you Zappos for carrying wide! Hubby is extremely happy with these. Ordered them on Thursday, had them on Friday, in time for a weekend getaway. He wore them all weekend, and said they were very comfortable, no break-in required, no blisters. He likes the lower height on back, for ease of movement. Thanks Zappos, for the great service as usual. Best online shoe seller I have found. I continue to come back to you, as no one can beat your service. Highly recommend these boots.

A great quarter boot. Fit well, wears well. Very comfortable. Speed lace tops make putting on and taking off a breeze. Zappos is great. Was leery about on-line ordering, but Zappos was recommend by a friend. Because of the variety of sizes, I am finally able to find boots which fit without driving all over town or calling around.

This is the second pair of these I've bought. Nothing fancy, just good, solid light hikers that I wear for daily use as well as on the trail. Great value for the money. At least some Hi-Tec models run a little wider than other brands, which is a big plus for me. Your mileage may vary.

Very comfortable. Fit felt true to width and length. Only drawbacks are the top two speed lace eyelets/hooks which can snag on things occasionally. The sole is a soft rubber compound and will wear out fairly quickly.

In 2007 I hiked the Appalachian Trail wearing Hi-Tec Nova Lite II's (just like these Outlanders). That is 2,174 miles. I used 3 pairs and didn't really wear out any of them. I highly recommend trying these boots for hiking. They worked great for me, never even a blister.

Very nice shoe - I immediately put it to use while doing remodel work on the house, working in the garage and clearing the driveway of snow. Comfortable fit, comfy standing on cement, and grippy in the snow. Amazing fast shipping from Zappos, even during the holiday rush!

Not durable - These fit well, are sturdy and comfortable. They appear to be great value for money, but they have only lasted 4 months. The heel is starting to come off the right boot and both heels have worn down fast.

The comfort and workmanship of this shoe is unbelievable. It is by far the most comfortable dress shoe I've ever worn. Sadly, I returned the shoe because I have never been fond of patent even if it is "the style" and think suede is much too casual to polish up a suit. It would be the perfect shoe for me if it were available in a nice nappa leather and in other colors.

Great Value -
Good boot for medium duty. Did not want or need a big heavy duty leather boot. Boot is lightweight, but sturdy for household chores and light to medium hiking. The tongue could be a little wider toward the top to keep debris out.

Best Hiker I've Ever Owned -
I have wide feet and find most work and walking boots unsatisfactory for working in the mountains where we live. The Hi-Tec has proven to give me stability, traction, and comfort whatever I'm doing. Work or play, in it all day, and it's wonderful. I love it and bought a second pair for when my first pair wears out.

Value for money -
I like to walk a lot around town and need a shoe that will support me and my often too heavy back pack. I had ground two pairs of EMS walking boots into the dust. I tried Zappos, which is convenient as EMS and REI are miles away from me. The fancier boots were uncomfortable, but the Hi-Tec Outlander is comfortable. It is a little too heavy as a boot; you can feel it a little too much. It is also not exactly beautiful, which does not bother some but does attract comments. Above all, this is value for money.

Comfortable right out of the box -
Ordered these on a Tuesday, arrived on Wednesday, great shipping as always. Bought two pairs of these, one for each of my sons. We spent the next 3 days hiking on rough, rocky, wet trails. They said perfect fit, comfortable, good traction and they liked the looks.

Great Lightweight Walker -
I've put maybe 10 miles on these boots since they arrived. I think they're a very good value in a lightweight hiking boot. They're very light, yet they still feel pretty substantial, which makes me think they'll last awhile. And they're really comfortable. If I still backpacked like I did when I was younger, I doubt these boots would be suitable for those 30-40 mile backcountry trips, but for day hikes and street walking, they're perfect.

A Great Boot -
I purchased these for my son, who hates boots, to wear on a ski trip. He loved them for their comfort, he work them for 1 week straight without a complaint. I thought that they looked great on him.

5 Stars All-Around -
I've worn HiTec's since `87, so I knew what to expect when they came, LESS THAN ONE DAY later. Sometimes when you order something online you get "seconds". When the shoes came there was no bad stitch, no cracks in the soles, and no discoloration in the leather. Perfect shoes. They were exactly what I ordered. Thank you.

This is a well formatted and fitting shoe to the foot but I wish it was waterproof and I do not know how to remove the sock liner but over all it is good fitting and grips good.

Great Light Hiker -
I've liked Hi-Tec for fit and comfort since the first day I wore one over 5 years ago. I took a brand new pair on a 2 week hiking trip and they were awesome. They are my daily work boots, too. I walk on gravel all day and they really give me comfort and support.

Comfortable everyday hiker -

This is a great hiking shoe. True to fit, lightweight, very comfortable. It has a large toebox area and I have had no problems with blisters or pain. Of course, excellent Zappos delivery service.

Finally, a wide hiker that is actually WIDE!
I have tried many other hikers labeled as wide, but they never really had a roomy toe box. These do! I gave them 4 out of 5 stars for comfort because I need more arch support and cushioning. The addition of a sole ultra footbed has helped in this regard. This is a good lightweight day hiker, but it would need a stiffer sole and more cushioning for longer hikes or backpacking.

Great, comfortable, and affordable boot.
I went on a hiking trip in the White Mountains wearing these boots and had no problems with blisters or sore feet. I was actually surprised to find how comfortable they really are. Not only did I find this boot to be extremely comfortable, but the price is amazing as well.
