This is a great dance shoe. I love mine. Fit was true. I have a wide foot and so it's had to fine a shoe.

Too flimsy -
I am used to wearing supportive flats (rarely do I wear heels) and I bought these in the bone/platinum color 2 years ago. I intended to use them for my wedding but now I am looking for another shoe. They are gorgeous but uncomfortable. I spent 2 hours dancing in them yesterday and the balls of my hurt as well as my ankles and knees. The toe pinches and I feel no arch support. I have tried to break them in for 2 years without success.

Tango shoe -
This is my best shoe for dance, especially tango. It is very flexible and extremely comfortable. It is also very light, so it feels like I'm not wearing shoes at all. Although it is a beautiful shoe, it can only be worn on the dance floor because of its sole.

Extremely comfortable and sexy looking -
These shoes are extremely comfortable although be aware the heel is higher than 2 inches or possibly that is because mine are in a size 9. For street wear the sole is a little thin and after inserting a pad the problem was solved. I really love these shoes and they look better than even in the picture. They have a sexy look when on your foot. I really love these shoes. I must say Zappos was terrific when I had to return another pair. Their policy cannot be beat. Extremely happy with their service.

Comfort and Style -
Comfortable right out of the box; very soft with a split sole feel. The material of the shoe is very soft leather. I do recommend getting Foot Petals insoles to help with the ball of foot discomfort that comes with dancing in heels.

Sexy dance shoe -
Looks great on, stretchy enough for my wide feet but the heel is a bit high and toes a bit scrunched in the toe box.

Practice shoe with pizzazz -
This is an excellent practice shoe with a lot more pizzazz and style than most oxford type practice shoes. The quality is excellent and the sizing runs true. Could use more padding in the ball of the foot, but a gel pad works well, too.

Whoops, I'm not a dancer!
I found this shoe when searching for wide shoes and fell in love. However, I didn't realize that Capezios are DANCE SHOES (maybe I should have paid a little more attention before ordering)! They look fantastic, and I have very hard feet to fit, but they are much too flexible for everyday use - you can twist the entire shoe around at the midsole. If I were a dancer and used to carrying my weight on the balls of my feet, I probably would have been fine, but no such luck. I was sad to return them because they are a super-sexy, well-fitting shoe.

I love these shoes. They are SO much cuter on your foot than they are in the photo! The keyhole lacing lets enough of your foot show to keep the shoe from looking frumpy, the new hourglass heel is sexy as anything, and the difference between the two types of leather not only lets the shoe breathe like a champ, but it looks fashionable! The only problem I've encountered is that the back of the heel cuts into my Achilles tendon just a little bit, a problem that gets better every time I wear them. The sole is very flexible, and the shoe is quiet as anything.

As another mentioned, sole is "flimsy"
This is a nice looking shoe, but I have found that, at least for salsa dancing, the sole is too flexible. I realized that the reason is that the sole is not made of (more rigid) leather, and then covered with suede (as most suede-bottom dance shoes with a heel are). Rather, the sole is only one layer of suede (say similar to ballet slippers), so you can easily flex your arch in these shoes. However, it does not provide you with a grounded or stable feeling when you are dancing, at least when it comes to salsa. For this reason, I prefer my other shoes that have a leather bottom with a layer of suede OVER that. I think I heard these shoes are more meant for tango? Perhaps they would be better for that?

Probably OK for dancing ...
I ordered this shoe for general use, and find that (possibly unlike it would be on stage) it is simply too flimsy in the instep. It is very, very flexible, but when I had it on and tied the ties, it felt about as stable as if I was putting my foot into a drawstring bag made of fabric, then walking around with a spool of thread glued to the heel. Too loosely woven in the body of the shoe for me, not enough connection to the sole to the heel.

Fairly good shoe...
Slightly smaller C width than expected.
Fairly comfortable shoe, but for the price, it would be nice to have some padding for better comfort. Overall, manufacturers just don't make shoes like they used to.

I really like this shoe. I have been a fan of Capezio shoes since I was a kid. They fit me well, last, and are reasonably priced. I have very flexible ankles so I like the Phantom's fairly low and solid heel. I also like the closed toe style and sueded bottom. I am fairly specific about what I look for in a shoe and the phantom fits the bill as a reasonable price. It also looks nice and I have gotten a few compliments on it.

Extremely comfortable, stable secure feeling and great to dance in. The one drawback are the laces, they detract from the look of the shoe and get that soiled look after a while. Velcro fastened straps would be much more preferable and easier to use without worrying about getting the laces dirty.

The Capezio's service is 5+ stars. The shoes look great, comfort is 4 stars - perhaps I should order wide instead of medium (all my shoes are medium). Many students in my class love my shoes and I am always happy to recommend Zappos to them.

The Phantom of the dance floor!
These shoes are great. I dance four times a week, four hours each time, so that's 16 hours a week and these shoes are perfect. My feet don't ache at all. I literally could dance all night in them. My feet are wider than whatever is standard, so the C width is perfect."Normal" dance shoes never fit right. These do. Plus, they look really pretty. You can't go wrong.

If they'll just be sturdy enough for in the office -
After trying and trying to find a try an elegant granny in non-dance shoes or in a dance practice oxford with a slightly higher heel, I ordered these and was delighted. I ordered a 6 as my street size for my somewhere between 5 1/2 and 6 feet and got a perfect fit on my smaller fit and a fine fit on my larger, though I may put a small insert in the arch or ball of the foot. Suede sole appears sturdier than most dance shoes, perhaps not as sturdy as some, will have to see; I've had others do fine in the office. These are decidedly graceful and elegant, maybe even sexy.

We ordered the shoes for my daughter's return to school, and originally ordered them too big. (Converse sizing seems to run two sizes smaller for women.) With the wrong shoes still at my home I was able to order by phone the correct size as an exchange, on the promise that I'd return the incorrect shoes within two weeks, no additional charges to my account.
