Bought these shoes looking for an everyday durable comfortable shoe for fall, winter and spring, cool wet weather, or even light snow. Was initially very pleased. Very comfortable and durable. Once it snowed lightly for the first time; however, I found that these things are as slippery as ice skates. Very poor traction. Well, once I realized this I adjusted and went on wearing them in wet/dry conditions, but not icy. Now it's been not quite a year and when I stepped in a shallow puddle this fall I found that the heel had worn through on one of my shoes. Although I wear them most days, I'm rather surprised that they would wear out this quickly.

Sole of shoe is more spongy/less firm that I expected, but I like the shoe for a wet day shoe. Order at least 1/2 to a full size down!

This is a great shoe!
I bought my husband a pair of these Clark's Bona shoes last year. He has worn them every single day at a construction site in Indiana winter and summer. They're completely worn out by now and I'm thrilled that I can find them again. I think he'll buy two pairs this year. He gets the outside absolutely covered with dirt, mud concrete, etc, and I just wash them off with a brush under hot water and they come out good as new.

My cold-weather walkers -
Comfortable ankle boot but just a tad-bit loose fitting. Good if you're going to wear heavy socks in the cold. Still worth the sale price; and not bad-looking either.

 |  | I want you to know how pleased I am that my dad received his shoes so quickly! He got them today. I am amazed! He is a patient at the VA hospital in Denver. He is a WWll combat veteran who lost his leg after stepping on a land mine. Recently, he was taken to the VA hospital because no one at his present home could care for him. He was sick, malnourished, and to add insult to injury, could not use his prosthetic leg because it caused a sore on his amputated stump. To shorten a long story, he had no shoes with him with which to begin learning to use his new prosthesis. I ordered them Saturday as soon as I hung up talking with him and he received them today. Now he can begin the long journey to regain his stride and health. He will be returning to the east coast of Virginia to be with family.
