These are great boots, warm and comfortable. They do run a little small, so order 1/2 size larger than you normally wear.

The boots arrived very quickly, and they seem to be of a good quality. Haven\'t had the chance to use them yet as there hasn\'t been any rain. I am glad I ordered a half size up as I will need the room for heavy socks.

Zappos rocks when it comes to Customer Service and Shipping! And, I can hardly wait for the snow so I can wear these boots. I ordered a half size larger so I can wear thick socks, but they appear to run true to size.When it comes to buying shoes online, Zappos is the leader. Thanks again; will be back soon.

What a disappointment! Would need to order a full size longer than normal. Little to no arch support! For an expensive boot, these seemed very cheap!

Had to reorder next 1/2 size up. Great shoe for winter walking. Light, not heavy, and keeps your feet dry. The only thing I'm not sure of is if it is waterproof. I've had these boots for only a month and waterproofed them twice already…

I really like this boot, but I gave it only 4 stars because the black version that I bought isn't waterproof and I had assumed all Sorel brand boots were waterproof because that's what they're known for. I have a duckfoot shaped, C width foot with high insteps, and this style worked really well for me. I also have their zip front style in bone/grey which is waterproof and which I like, but the zipper always comes unzipped after only a few steps. So I tried the lace up and after many miles of hiking in it already, found it comfy, with reliable footing in rough terrain yet dressy enough to wear with skirts. To keep my foot from sliding forward I discovered I have to tighten the lower laces. This is very easy to get into wearing a heavy hiking sock yet soft enough to wear with stockings. My feet get soaked, however, when hiking in slushy snow. For those who have the zip up, if you punch a hole with a leather punch at the top of each zipper in the corner, run a short matching shoelace through one hole, behind the tongue and out the other hole, tie it up, the zipper will stay up. I did that on mine and it works well and looks fine.

I love this boot!!! I've never bought winter boots before and need some for a ski trip. They were very comfortable right from the beginning. They were very warm and looked cute under jeans. The fit was about 1/2 a size too small. I wear a 6 1/2 and have a slightly wide foot. I bought a 7 and never had a width issue. Love these boots!

Not waterproof at all!! Didn't even last me a season -
I really wanted these boots to work. They were adorable and fit comfortably for the most part. However, although they seemed to fit okay at first, I did feel like they were so heavy they kind of cut off circulation to my toes. And they were not too small because I touched for the toe spacing. I had plenty of room; they just seemed to be too heavy for walking long distances. Also, they were NOT waterproof. The first time I wore them in the rain (during cold winter weather) my socks at the toes and base of the foot were soaked. Eventually the lining tore and gave me an awful blister. They were a HUGE disappointment. But I had no other boots so I had to keep wearing them (till I got the blister) and after I kept wearing them of course I couldn't return them. But is says WATERPROOF and that they were NOT!

Sizing is odd -
Love the boot but, after reading other reviews I ordered a size larger than I usually wear and it was still too short. The heel was too big so it seems that it is all about the length.

I ordered this boot in my normal size, 6.5, and they fit snug at the toe with a thick sock, so may run slightly small but I probably wouldn't order smaller. These boots had all the features I was looking for. I especially liked that they had the Thinsulate for warmth and were waterproof. They are pretty cute, lightweight and have a great look with jeans, not bulky. I like the height of the sole as well. Overall, these were extremely comfy, although I'd rate the arch support moderate. The only problem I had with them was that the shaft rubbed into my shins. I think the shaft may work for most women and provide great ankle support, but I have thin ankles and shins and they didn't work for me. This may just require some breaking in, but after much debating over keeping these or not, (I really wanted them to work out) I decided to return due to the fit of the shaft.

I like these boots!
I received these boots today and have to say that while I wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8, I am returning the 8 for an 8.5. My big toe was bumping the inside toe of the boot. The width was great, but I have a wider foot. The comfort of the back of the boot from the heel up just past the back of the ankle is stiff, but aren't most of them? It will require some break in. Aside from the length, I found this to be a very nice boot; nice enough to reorder in the next size!

I love these boots!
I'm not much of a hiking/snow boot person (usually too uncomfortable), but I bought these for a Christmas trip to Chicago - didn't have any time to break them in before going sightseeing for the day. Happily, they were comfortable right away and have gotten even more so with time. The lining at the top gives the boots a cozy-snuggly feel, and helps to cushion the top of the boot from the back of my ankle and sides of my lower leg (good thing, because I have big calves). After a day in -5 degree weather, my feet were toasty but not sweaty. They're pretty cute with jeans, too! I still use them, even after my trip. I have a wide foot, so I ordered a half size up for extra room, and they have plenty. Very easy to slip on and off! The footbed is just a tiny bit low for my arches (which are really high), but the insoles are removable so you can fit them with whatever kind of insole you need! I can't say enough good things about these boots!

Replacing old Sorel’s -
After losing my wonderful Sorel’s that were at least 18 years old, I ordered these and found them good and warm in the snow. The more I wore them, the more comfortable they got. I am totally satisfied with the boots AND your service.

Disappointing -
Looks vs. comfort! This boot is very cute but much too uncomfortable. I ordered half a size larger than usual, based on previous reviews, and it was still too small. The shaft of the boot is very stiff and digs into my shin. The sole is stiff and hard to walk in. Will be returning it.

Warm and Comfortable (Resend)-
This shoe is exactly what I had in mind. It's attractive, comfortable, and warm. The sole is similar to tire tread but I haven't been on icy surfaces yet. The walk is springy and the width -- I ordered 9M -- will allow for a thick sock, but I wouldn't say it felt a half size larger or wider. I expect slightly more room in winter shoes to allow for socks. Indoors, even in a regular sock, my feet got too warm after a while. Sole has nice elevation; overall good weight but not too heavy. I'm very happy with fit, style, and color.

Sorel Rocks!
Once again, Sorel boots prevail! I like the workmanship, tight seams, warm lining, quality soles, width in toe box and watertight construction of these boots--but every Sorel shoe or boot I've owned has been excellent. I do recommend you buy a full size up if you plan on wearing heavy socks, or at least a half size up if you plan on wearing a sock of average thickness. I wear heavy wool socks and this size 9 fits fine--in most other brands I wear size 8 boots. I do not pamper my boots and this one keeps my feet dry and warm in rain or mud, while looking stylish and being easy to clean and maintain. Sorel knows how to make boots that last and do what they're supposed to do--keep your feet out of the weather.

Warm and Cozy -
With the weather in Colorado lately, this boot is getting worn a lot. Keeps feet warm and dry. Need my other Sorrels with the rubber foot for high snow, but these really work well in cold, icy weather. Grip the ground well and good stability in the ankle. No arch support though, bought arch inserts before I even received them because of other reviews saying the same thing. Works great with inserts.

Cute boot, but very uncomfortable. I was really disappointed in these boots. I've heard people rave about Sorel boots. I wanted a warm pair of boots so I figured Sorel was the way to go. Thank goodness Zappos has such a great return policy.

Winter Boots, best all around.
These are incredibly comfortable boots. They do run a little bit small especially if you wear thick socks. I like the way the hug your ankles for support.

Cute Boots!
Being from Hawaii I am not accustomed to the cold winter weather in the mainland. My husband & I took a trip to Seattle in December and these boots kept my feet warm & dry. The shearling collar provided comfort while walking. Other boots that didn't have this feature would rub against my shin and it was painful after taking several steps. So, I returned them. As far as sizing...after reading other reviews I ordered a 1/2 size & full size larger than my normal size. My left toes touched the top of the shoe. So, I settled for size 9 which accommodated thicker socks. Shoelaces do get undone easily. To resolve this, I tucked them behind the shaft. The sole of the shoe was stiff and not as flexible as I would want them. Perhaps after a "break-in" period that would change. Overall, I thought these boots were cute & it kept my feet warm.

I like this boot alot. It feels comfortable so far, although I wish it had some arch support.
I love the look of it - cute, and not like lumberjack woman, like the snow boots I always used to get! I do think it runs 1/2 size small - I sent back the 9.5 for a 10.
