Zappos is great. I had the boots two days after I ordered them, and didn't pay any shipping. Awesome boots. They're the first real, new pair of winter boots I've ever owned. Warm and cozy. There's no ankle support, so it feels strange at first, but I guess that's the way it's supposed to be. I usually wear size 8.5, and it seems a little large for me, but I plan on wearing thick socks, so it shouldn't be a problem. Also, not really any arch support, but I bought insoles and they're super comfy now. Very reasonably priced and well made. They're easy to take on and off. I love everything about them really, and can't wait to go on an all day snow hike to see how comfortable and waterproof they really are.

These are some really serious boots! Durable, very warm, keep my feet dry even in northern IN winters! Don\'t have to worry about slipping either, the sure grip soles really grip! Looking forward to enjoying many years of outdoor winter activities with these boots.

I really like these boots. It hasn't snowed yet to really test them out, but they feel very comfortable and warm. A size 5 normally fits me perfectly in most brands, so I ordered a 5.5 to have room for 2 pairs of socks (like the other reviewers suggested). The 5.5 is quite a snug fit (too snug for thick wool socks, or two pairs of socks) so I am a bit disappointed. Other reviewers said the next size up is huge and in addition to that I am in Canada so would have to pay the return shipping etc. So I will stick with the 5.5 and who knows, maybe they are so warm I won't need the extra pair of socks anyway!

Heel kept slipping -
I really wanted these boots to work out for me, but the heel kept slipping. This caused my sock to bunch down around my ankle and foot - so annoying. I tightened the laces as far as I could and it did not help. There's no way I'm spending $90 on boots only to have my heel come up with each step and sock bunch down uncomfortably. Other than that, the boot fit perfectly. It is well made, lightweight, warm, and true to size. Also, the footpad in the boot was very flat with little arch support, and the boots did feel stiff. I would've kept them though, if my heel did not slip.

I can't say enough good things about these boots. I have had them for five years now and they still look like new. They are really, really warm, totally waterproof, and best of all they have great traction. I never have to worry about snowy or icy conditions with these boots. You can't go wrong with these boots.

Just moved to Colorado 2 months ago and I was advised to purchase a pair of snow boots. These boots are not only comfortable, they kept my feet from getting wet and absolutely served their purpose. I wear a size 10 and have extra room for warm thick socks!

Great warm winter boot for all kinds of activities!
Great boot! I bought this for a ski trip and ended up wearing them snowmobiling too. Warm, dry, easy to slip on, and super comfortable. Having to tie the laces was sometimes annoying, but once you tied them, they didn't come untied again. If you want a great warm winter boot, this is it! I only wish it came with a zipper and not laces...

Love this boot -
I do a lot of barn work (horses) and this boot is great. Warm, comfortable, and water proof. I usually buy Sorel boots, but bought another brand that was on sale. Second time I wore them my feet were cold and wet. Had them less than 2 weeks, then I ordered the Sorels. I bought a half size larger than I wear because of heavy socks. Fit perfect. The other boots will be going to a garage sale! Zappos' service was incredible! Had them in 2 days!

These shoes were good. They last long and look cool. Only problem is the shoe fits me rather tight around the toes so I would buy the next half size up. They look cool, even if you don't play indoor soccer.

Nice Cumberland II boots!
I have owned a pair of Sorel Caribou boots for 10 years, but finally needed a new pair this winter. EVERYONE was sold out of Caribous, so I decided to try the Cumberlands, and I’m very pleased with the fit, comfort and warmth of these boots. They are less "clunky" than the Caribou boot, with the same great Sorel features. Zappos shipped in one day as a nice surprise too- great!!!

The most comfortable snow boot around!
I love these boots! They are perfect for walking as they are lightweight and have excellent support. I take my dog on 2-3 mile walks and they are as comfy as tennis shoes. I also like that they are tall enough to tuck my pants into so I don't get them wet in the snow. Since the boots lace up, it is easy to put pants of differing thicknesses in and still have a perfect fit. I've walked through 10+ inches of snow and through the slushy aftermath when all the snow finally melted, and they kept my feet dry.
Part of what can make them so light is the thin lining. They are warm enough if you are walking, but if you are stationary you will need a thick sock. Some people might not like having to deal with laces. A zippered-up boot would be faster, but I think the extra time to tie laces is worth it since you get a better fit. The laces are a good length (not so long they drag, but not so short you struggle to tie them) and easy to tighten. The biggest draw-back to this boot is appearance (I have the green color and they could pass as hunting boots), but I am so happy with them I don't really care what they look like.

Sorel's Cumberland II -
I ordered this boot for very cold days to be outside shoveling snow, or whatever. I ordered an 8 1/2 (I wear an 8 shoe consistently), but I thought that there should be a bit of room inside of a boot for heavier socks. Time will tell if they become too loose. They are attractive for a lug boot, and they are fairly light-weight. The color is a taupe-khaki shade.

Great Snow/Winter Hiking Boot -
I love this boot. It supports my feet and ankles very well. My feet stay warm and dry. Because they're lighter than other boots I've had in the past, makes winter walking more enjoyable.

Nice lightweight snow shoe.
I purchased these for a winter vacation in Vermont and they were perfect. Not too heavy or bulky and kept my feet toasty warm while sloshing through the snow.

Got these after a year-long search for winter boots that had an urban feel. So far the winter has not been extreme enough to test them out but they are very comfortable and warm. I have small ankles and since these are lace ups there are more adjustments I can make. If the weather is so bad that I have to wear these then I do not care what I look like... neither does anyone else... they look tough and they mean business. Looking forward to many years in them.

I bought this for walking in the winter. I am able to put my orthotic in the boot very nicely/ The boot fits mid calf, so it will prevent any deep snow from getting inside. It is a very warm and dry boot.

Very comfortable boot -
I ordered these in the Frost color yesterday afternoon and was expecting to receive them the day after XMAS. Well, to my surprise they arrived earlier this afternoon! I have been walking around in them since and they are very comfortable. I am a true size 8.5, got these in the 8.5 and they fit perfect with enough room in the toe for a boot sock. I am so glad I did not order the 9 as they would definitely be too big. I also do not find them to feel heavy or clunky at all. The true test will be when I wear them out in the snow but they feel as if they will keep my toes nice and warm. Another great feature is they come up high enough so you can tuck your pants in.

Sorel does the job -
The fit on this shoe is true to size, with room to wear thick socks. It's on the heavy side, but if you're walking in ice and snow like I am in AK, you want a shoe to anchor you in the worst of weather. The fabric upper is very comfortable and does not rub shinbone like some others have done. I would give a BIG thumbs up on this shoe.

Great snow boots!
I bought this boot to o to Montana and stand in the snow. I needed something warm and flexible and this is it! I think it looks really nice, too (in Oyster) and is very comfortable. I wear a 9.5-10 in most brands and got a 10 to allow room for extra socks. One note: if standing in snow for an extended period of time wear more than one pair of socks! The toe is not overly insulated.

Great Value!
I love these boots. They are very comfy and warm. I got a 1/2 size larger based on other reviews but I should have stayed with my actual size. They still work nicely though. I also got the lace up instead of zip up because of the reviews and I'm glad I did. These are my go to boots for the entire fall/winter season! Rain, snow, sleet, hard ice - no problem. Plus they look cute and still fashionable w/my jeans tucked in.
