Based on other reviews I ordered a half size larger than I usually do and it worked. So I recommend that. They look great. I can see them with khakis and with shorts and they don't look overly clunky or athletic. They are comfortable, although I haven't walked around outside in them yet.

Sugars used to be so much better -
I had this same style of shoe back in 99 in navy. Simple, I don't know what you guys did, but this shoe is not nearly as good. Looks the same, but the comfort is severely reduced. The shock absorption is pretty much gone. The materials don't seem as nice. And the toe is a little narrower and my "bigger foot" gets squished. I think they seem a bit smaller than a typical 5.5 size. I'm hoping they will stretch out a little. But I'm pretty disappointed in the quality. Don't know why they changed. Cost reduction, I'm sure. But sad day.

Cute and Comfortable!
This shoe is wonderful -- very comfortable, extremely cute, but not cutesy, if you know what I mean. I have worn them all day and had no discomfort. The arch support is moderate, so I put in some slip in supports and they felt perfect. Highly recommended. Plus Zappos has the best customer service I have ever seen in a company.

Simple Sugar = Sweet!
I like these shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box. For my feet the shoes could have used a little more arch support but the inserts I bought fit inside perfectly & now I can wear them all day in complete comfort. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable, casual shoe that doesn't make you look like you are headed to the gym.

Great weekend shoe!
This a great looking sneaker for running weekend errands. They are quite comfortable and stylish. I haven't felt any rubbing or pinching. They also are very well made and I think they will hold up well. I've only worn them twice and have already received compliments on them.

I bought a unique style of Simple shoes several years ago and I get compliments all the time. I found this style and get compliments, as well. They are very comfortable and, although they look a little like tennis shoes, I still wear them to work with khaki pants.

This is my 2nd pair of Simple Sugar shoes. I wear a 12N shoe and it is very hard for me to find cute shoes that fit me. I am always wearing jeans and I like to be comfortable but stylish. Simple Sugar are perfect for my needs and best of all they are cute and comfortable.

These shoes are so cute. I got mine in burgundy. They are just lovely.
The support is not great and they won't last for long. They started tearing after four months of use. That was a bit disappointing.

My third pair of Simple Sugars -
These are great-looking and comfortable as the shoe allows for the foot to be totally spread out. There are no pressure points to cause pain.
I wore these all over London last year when every other pair of shoes failed to deliver comfort. In other words on day 3 of my trip, I put the Sugars on and my feet said "THANK YOU."
The shoe is cute and doesn't look like a clunky gym shoe. And while these are sensible, when my teenage daughter saw them she didn't say "They are cute for you Mom" which if you are middle-age, you get her meaning. In fact she asked to borrow them once--a sure sign that they are cute.
My only wish is that the shoe had better arch support and that the sole were thicker to absorb shock. On cobblestone streets this would be welcome. On my next trip I am adding an arch support to the shoe for extra support.
Because of the lace-up feature, there is some "give" to allow for thicker socks on days when you need them.
These will always be in my carry on bag or backpack, in case I need them.
My advice is to order two pairs-one your size and the other one size larger, and try each on with your socks and/or arch insert to determine the best size. Zappos is great since they pay for shipping both ways.

These are a good in between skater and dressy sneaker. They are comfortable, however, on the left shoe the stitching is not correct and hits the bone on my big toe which is very uncomfortable for the time being. Left foot aside, they are very durable considering I am on my feet all day and work with food.

I love the look of these shoes. They look nicer than ordinary sport shoes and pass for a dressier appearance. They don't have a very good arch support, but I've added my own which I've purchased at a local drugstore.

Simple shoes for all ages -
I bought my first pair of Simple shoes on vacation 2 years ago 1/06. I have bought 8 pair in all colors over the past 2 years. My mother is 79 years old and loves wearing Simple shoes... comfort and rubber soles are great. Wish they would come back with the light blue, green, and pink... they were fun to wear in the summer. I am ordering 2 more pair to replace 2 pair that are starting to look a bit worn out. Everywhere I go, someone compliments me on my shoes. If they ever change the design or make them funky, I am going to be mad... great design and great for all ages... continue to keep them SIMPLE!

Simply smashing -
This is the first pair of Simple shoes that I have purchased. Let me tell you that they are very comfortable from day one - the toe box is really well proportioned, wide enough and high enough (even for my bunions and hammer toes). Also, fairly well cushioned, I am 7 mos pregnant, so I need all the help I can get! So many shoes that I have looked at that compensate for these above issues look like orthopedic torture devices! These are really cute and make my feet look smaller than what they really are! My husband even likes them! Love the blue color and am thinking of getting them in other colors as well. Check them out, I think that you will be pleasantly surprised.

I have a simple foot. All simples fit my foot really well, which is hard to do. I have REALLY high insteps and rather wide feet, but these shoes really feel good. I like that they are ECO-friendly too!

Very comfortable and actually not bad style-wise -
Love them the first moment I put them on. I have wide feet and I found them extremely comfortable. Never had to break them in. I was even complemented the first day I wore them out.
