I searched everywhere for this boot last February and could not find them since retailers were already stocking Spring items. Retailers don't seem to understand that Winter in Wisconsin lasts until May! The lace up style fits my narrow foot very well. It is true to size. I'm looking forward to its high insulation quality keeping my feet warm this winter.

These boots are my first pair of North Face boots and I am very pleased with them. Even though I have not officially tested them (it hasn\'t snowed yet!) I can tell they will be very warm and comfortable during those cold day that are coming up. Zappos got these babies to me quickly as always and I am so happy with being a Zappos customer. \r\n\r\n

North Face functional not fashion -
These boots are a necessary evil for me. I need them to blow snow out of my driveway, shovel snow and to walk in heavy snow. The top lace does pop out of the eyelet and that's my only complaint. I would have gotten the slip on style from North Face but the opening was too big and would allow snow to fall in.

These McMurdo boots, first pair purchased in hiking store are FANTASTIC! They are just amazing walking on ice...you still need to be careful, but they have nice stability. I wear them for Hiking, snowshoeing and shoveling and had to get a "Clean" pair for "fancy Dress"...you know out and about around town in nice winter clothes! They aren’t "pretty" but they are THE BEST!

This is a great boot and believe had I the right size would have been perfect. I was on a time crunch to get the right boot for Europe. Was small.

The Boot for Feminine TomBoys!
Just got these boots in the vintage white/toasty brown and absolutely love them! They are very comfy and supportive, warm and cute. I like the weight of the boot: makes me feel grounded. The color is very feminine along with the style of the fur collar, but the boot is just big and "clunky" enough for us tomboys. The best of both worlds. :)

McMurdo Women's Boot -
The boot looks the same but the color was off a bit from what I expected. The boot is very true to size. I wear an 8.5m and my toe was to the edge so I had to go up a half size. The only reason I order shoes from this site is that the shipping is free both ways. It was so easy to print off the return label and send them back while I was waiting for the next pair to arrive.

Terrific Snow Boot!!
I absolutely LOVE this boot! I read all the other reviews about it and fell in love instantly. Although, I would have to agree that it's a bit stiff in the ankle area, but it is still well worth the purchase! I am living in my first snowy season and this has kept my feet very warm and comfy! I can go stomp in our yard and build snowmen with the kids! It's great! This boot gets 5 stars in ALL areas! Thanks to Zappos for your terrific customer service and EXCELLENT delivery! I have made Zappos my #1 stop for everything!

Warm sturdy and cute -
This boot is a great snow boot. I've had snow boots in the past that did not keep my feet, especially my toes, warm. These do, even wtih snow on top of the toe! They are light, too, which with my bad knees, makes them a really great boot! Cute, too!

Good boot -
The cuffs are a bit stiff for walking right out of the box. Otherwise, no complaints. Have yet to use for snowshoeing, but expect good performance there as well.

Nice and WARM!
My feet are normally frozen--with these boots they are nice and toasty, even in 16" of snow! I ordered a half a size up and they fit great. The first few times wearing them they hurt around my lower calf (where they hit), but have since broken in.

Excellent Winter Waterproof Boots -
I have been quite pleased with the North Face McMurdo boot. They keep my feet nice and warm, especially paired with Smartwool socks. The couple of days with negative base temperatures and only 1 pair of socks, my toes did get cold, but adding a second pair of socks did the trick. The boots are slightly heavier than an average shoe, but I became accustomed to the weight with a couple days of wear. The traction on these boots is excellent as well. I like the look, too. I would heartily recommend these to people who want their feet warm and waterproof.

Exactly what I was looking for, though I'll probably get an insert with a little more arch support. Really comfy, easy to slip on. Warm as heck and great tread. It doesn't feel like a bulky boot at all for the warmth provided.

Love these boots! Super fast delivery!
I love these boots! The only issue I have is trying to drive with them on and I should have known better! They take a little getting used to when you're walking but it’s what I expected and the warmth and look of the boots make up for that! I choose a less expensive delivery option and expected the boots in 5-7 days. Well Zappos upgraded the option at no additional cost I ordered on a Saturday afternoon and received the boots on Monday!

Great warm boot -
These seemed stiff at the back of my calf right out of the box; however, no problems when wearing them. They're a great height for lots of snow and very warm in 20 degree weather. Good traction and they're cute as far as snow boots go. An 11 fit my 10 1/2 size perfectly.

Finally, warmth!!
I purchased these after reading all the positive reviews. I haven't had a pair of boots that have kept my feet warm since I don't know when. Honestly, the temps have been below 20 this week and not once have my feet been cold. The stiffness is gone in a day or two. They are not heavy like they look like they would be. The bottom treads are great. I love the pink inner lining and the bit of "fur" at the top- adds a little feminine aspect. They look great with jeans tucked in, or out. I would normally never spend this kind of money on a boot/shoe, but they are worth every penny.

Functional, with a taste of cuteness with the fir edge and pink logo. Great to wear around campus, and to shovel my driveway here in Michigan. Really fits true to size if you have a pair of medium-thickness socks on. Keeps my feet warm and dry! Thanks North Face and Zappos!

A great boot!
I live in CT where the winters can be COLD! These are great boots - very warm, comfortable, and stylish at the same time. I ordered a 1/2 size larger to accommodate thick socks. My heel pops up a little, but I am happy to have the extra room.

Siberian winter boot -
I went to Siberia for Christmas and didn't want to be cold - so I went for name brand, more expensive boots. My toes are cold no matter what but I found these boots kept me super warm. I was really happy with them until my sister, who went for 1/2 price, generic (but cute) boots complained so much, I gave them to her. My only cons with this boot - a bit heavy and not that cute. Very functional though.

Great boot for Chicago winters!
I ordered this boot on a Wednesday morning and received them the next day; I don't know how they do it so quick.
The boot looks exactly like the picture. I was afraid they would be too "manly," but I went with the brown/ivory and I don't feel "manly" at all. They are a little heavy, but I'm getting used to that. They keep you warm that's for sure. I had slipped them on without socks to shovel the walk, and my feet were warm! The only prob is that some of my socks slip, but I'll just remember to wear thicker socks.

Comfort, Quality, and the fastest shipping EVER.
First, I would like to make mention of the fact that I ordered these boots online last night at 9:30pm in Northern Michigan and they were on my doorstep before noon today. I was astonished by how fast they got here -- all the way from Kentucky, too. Unbelievable service.
Secondly, these boots are amazing. They're really comfortable and they are ridiculously warm. I especially like the faux fur on the top not only because it softens the appearance of these rugged boots, but also because it acts as padding for my shin area. Since I'm using these boots for snowshoeing, I was happy to see that they aren't very restrictive of movement at the top either. They are somewhat clunky, but that's part of the package with boots that are of high quality and are going to keep your feet warm and dry. They are also pretty narrow, which is good for me, but that is something that I would advise others take into consideration. All in all, I would definitely recommend these boots --and especially Zappos-- to anyone!

The best boots yet -
I walk 2-4x/day! The winters in Chicago are brutal. I walk my dog in subzero, sleet & rain and then hike it 1 mile to walk to school at night. My feet are the 1st to get cold (had touch of frostbite as child). My feet have yet to be cold or event wet with these boots. I don't even have to wear my ski socks & liners--just regular socks. They are worth the $.

I needed a warm, comfortable, and waterproof boot to wear on the ice. These took a couple wearings to break in, they are very comfortable and warm, yet have a bit of a feminine look (which is nice, because they are a bit clunky). They are also great for hiking in the snow. They are most comfortable with thick socks.

I found your site through my daughter and found a pair of what I thought would be good work shoes. I saved my tips and months later made the order. I was ambivalent about spending so much money on SHOES but decided to just do it! They arrived yesterday morning! I wore them last night for the first time forgetting to bring a back up pair in case they hurt (new shoes and all). Well, I'm just sooooo happy to say that I LOVE them! My feet were just fine – ALL NIGHT! They were like wearing slippers w/ arch support. This morning I put my poor old tired out work shoes in the trash with no regrets!
