I love these shoes. They are comfortable, they keep my feet dry, and they look good. The only thing I would change is the top toggle. They have tie laces and a separate top toggle. The toggle is not very effective, and just another thing to deal with.

Great boots -
I had a slight problem when I ordered these, they for some reason tried to send me a half size bigger than I ordered. However I called customer service right away and they not only corrected the problem but gave me free next day shipping which I thought was very generous. When the boots themselves arrived I was very pleased. I found that they fit great and are very comfortable. I havent had the issues with the laces that others have though they are just a little on the difficult side to get on and off. I've worn these numerous times since receiving them and they are truly warm and remarkably waterproof at least up to a few inches of standing water which is the most I've encountered. I walk through icy puddles without concern in these and am happy to say they not only keep my feet dry but keep looking quite nice. I've gotten numerous compliments on the look of these as well. Overall I'd say this is the best winter boot Ive owned yet and with what looks to be a long cold spring I'll be using them for months to come.

Hi-Tec St. Moritz 200 -
This is the first time I ordered from Zappos and I found the experience very positive and easy. I needed a pair of warm winter boots that also looked good for a winter ski trip. I ordered 3 pairs of boots and ended up liking the St Moritz boot the most. It was nice being able to try the boots on in the comfort of my own home and make sure that they were comfortable and looked good with the outfits that I would be wearing. I found buying the shoes from Zappos much better than a local shoe store because you did not have the pressure of making a decision right away. Anyway, I love my boots! They are very warm and very comfortable. Easy to slip on and off as long as you don't lace the ties too tight. The only negative I have is that they have two different ties - one at the top and one that tighten the whole boot - one too many, but I just found the right tightness and now just slip them on and off.

Absolutely Amazing!
First of all Zappos is amazing! Love them! I ordered my boots last night and was debating on paying the extra to have the boots here for last nights snow storm but decided I couldn't afford it...but then Zappos.com sent me an email saying they were sending the boots overnight! So now I have them for today to truck through the snow!
Ok, so the boots! They are beautiful! And absolutely true to size! I will def be buying Hi-Tec shoes from now on and def will be buying them from Zappos.com!

Just in time for a Chicago winter...
Warm, comfy, water-proof, and cute. They look a little bit like snowboarding boots, but given their functionality, I don't mind at all. The day after I got them in the mail, we had about a foot of snow. They were perfect. Shortly after the snow, there was a slush/rain/sleet storm that covered the city in about 3 inches of nearly frozen water. Again, they were perfect. My feet never got cold or wet. They are even warmer and more water-proof than I expected.

I love this boot -
This is one of the few boots I have ever worn that I can say are truly comfortable. I did buy it a size larger, because I have a corn on my left foot that is troublesome. I hate boots that are too heavy. This boot is very lightweight and oh so comfy and warm.

Love my new boots!
We recently went skiing in Beaver Creek, Co and I live in Austin, Tx. I needed warm, waterproof boots and didn't want to pay a lot considering I'll only wear them a week a year. I wear these boots even in Texas now because they are so comfortable. So what if it's 60 degrees here! The reviews I read helped with my purchase. Thanks!

Maddeningly almost perfect - Buy them Anyway -
In a world of inexcusably poor design, I get absurdly annoyed when I encounter a really great product with a few major design flaws, such as these boots. But buy them - they are 90% great.
GOOD BITS - They are WARM - my feet are always cold. My previous boots were from Land's End - heart of the frozen north - should be warm boots - but my feet were always cold.
These are WARM, lightweight, flexible and comfortable - no small feat for my size 11 clunkers - but you may need an insole for real hikes as there isn't much arch support.
They are not too bulky to wear under gaiters.
They are cute. Actually too cute - I almost didn't buy them because of all that fluffy fur. I'm not walking the poodle in Aspen, I'm hiking with the Mutt in the back woods. Still- they are WARM and COMFY. Though personally, I find touching wet fur very icky! After a hike in the snow, digging your fingers into wet fur to unlace them is creepy - Very drowned-rat texture.
The lacing - BAD design. Should have open-hook type eyelets on the top boot (like hiking boots.) It is really cumbersome to tighten and loosen them, especially across the instep. You have to pluck out each lace buried in the fur.
Still good boots but - the major worst bit - they are DANGEROUS. The cinch lace at the top is extremely long. Walking upstairs after shoveling the stairs, you will step on this lace, trip and crash your shin into the stairs then slide down and smash your elbow - ouch - got the icebag on now!
Why nine yards of dangling string here? Is there a big market for snow boots for those afflicted with Elephantitis ? Or if you really do need that much lacing, why not put a belaying pin on the side of the boot to tie it off?
Tucking the lace inside the boot works for a while, but it does come free if you are - like - walking around.
So overall - I'm happy for warm comfy feet. At a size 11, my options are limited, so I don't know how this boot compares to other styles that are more available in smaller sizes.

Review of Hi-Tec's St. Moritz 200 -
These are excellent. Keep my feet really warm (I get cold easily). They are a little stiff on the soles making walking a little difficult, but worth it for the warmth.

Little Bit Chunky -
Ordered these boots for the purpose of a comfortable, warm, lightweight hiker and a cute look for frequent wear with jeans. Liked everything about these except for the bigger, "chunky look". If you like that look, these would be great for you! They were very comfortable and even more lightweight then expected, especially for a taller boot. They fit well just ordering my usual size, and my straight legged jeans fit pretty well over them. Seems like they'd be warm, but I only tried them on. If this boot had a little less profile, I definitely would have kept them. Thanks to Zappos' great service, I at least got to give them a try.

Didn't know what to expect -
I bought these boots looking for something cute, yet practical. I really like them! The only thing negative i have to say for them is that they are slip=ons, which i didn't originally realize. Because of their support however, they don't slip on as easy as an Ugg boot. However once you get use to them they are really great, and a lot more practical than Uggs.

Best boots ever :-)
I live in Boston and we have been inundated with snow, cold and ice recently. These boots have been awesome. Nothing is perfect in ice, but these are the best I've ever owned. I also have trouble keeping my feet warm and these boots are the best. Lastly, I have been getting lots of compliments on them :-). I usually wear a size 7 (almost always) and I have these in a 6 and a half, which are perfect even with thicker socks. Also, I can drive with these...an additional bonus!

Tough with a touch of style -
Alright, this isn't a Brittany Spears boot... but... that's not what you want. You want warm, waterproof comfort, and that's what you get. The only downside are the nutty shoe strings: excessive and excessively present, but just tuck em in and you're good to go.

Fantastic Boot -
Perfect for my wide feet, I ordered 1/2 size larger to accommodate heavier socks for winter and they fit perfect! This feels lightweight and not bulky at all, great traction and super warm and comfy. Hi-Tec has great quality products with a great price point for what you get and this is no different. This was my first order from Zappos. They arrived the next day, will shop again!!!

LOVE these!!!
I wanted a warm, useful boot for winter, and this is it. Once I put the Dr. Scholl's insert in (I need extra arch support) they were SO comfy. They definitely run big... there's plenty of room for thick socks... and they're oddly sexy...

Trip to see the polar bears -
I bought these shoes for a trip to Churchill, Manitoba to see the polar bears. My feet never got cold even though I spent many hours out on the tundra. The trip was fabulous and so were the boots.

COMFORTABLE - LIGHWEIGHT - PRETTY CUTE -
Just recieved the following four boots: Hi Tec St. Moritz 200, Sorel Kaya, Kamik Patriot, Cougar Mission. After trying them on here are my first impressions. I live in Crested Butte now for 15 years and am still searching for a lightweight boot that I can use to walk the dog in -20 temps. No matter what it seems like my toes are always cold. I can't wear the -100 boots because they are too clucky and hurt my knees.
The HiTec is number one, very light, smaller profile, waterproof AND breathable. I like these the best. As suggested I ordered 1/2 a size larger, perfect. The lacing system is awkward with all that fur but the fur will help keep my feet warm. They also have a serperate cinch lace around the top of the boot, I like this it will help keep warmth in. Also, the thinsulate lining is good to -20 but we will see about that! They are pretty cute, but the toe is just a tad pointy - I prefer a rounder toe box.
Sorel Kaya was very comfortable but the the sewn edge where the sole meet the leather sticks out so far that I think it will catch and hold snow -also, made my feet look like really big duck feet. The Kamik Patriot is stiff and heavy, high profile (alot boot). The Cougar Mission - these are waterproof, the label says because "they don't breath and your feet may feel cold and wet". I am sending these back.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!!!!!!!
These boots are the most comfortable I have ever worn. The first day I wore them, I stepped in a puddle about 8 inches deep, and the boot didn't even get wet!!! They run a little big, I ordered a 10, and returned them for a 9.5, and still have plenty of room with thick socks. They are extremely warm, and very cute with tucked jeans. I would recommend them to everyone.

Review of da shoe -
I bought these boots for London and Scotland while traveling in March when the weather could be rain snow or sunny... Ive been wearing then almost everyday. They are so warm; I doubt any foot would get chilly. The weather had been rainy and snowed once and they are very durable shoes. They are, however, a full size bigger than my shoe size; I had to reorder them twice. I also wear double socks. They may also hurt some people in the heel area, but mine have broken in. Ive worn them for long walks and they have good arch support. They are very cute :)

Great boots, great price!
I ordered these boots for our yearly trip to Aspen, Colorado. They were very comfortable and kept my feet nice and toasty! They held up to tromping up and down sledding hills, were comfy at the slopes and looked great just walking around Aspen. I recommend these boots.

Warm and funky -
This boot is surprisingly warm, yet I have worn them on not so cold evenings and wasn't uncomfortable. My boot cut jeans go over them nicely, but I had to buy a pair of "skinny" jeans so that I could tuck them in and show the boots off too. If they aren't laced up super tight though, there is slippage at the heel, which makes your socks bunch and I absolutely hate that, so I lace them as tight as I can to avoid that. Overall, I am not kicking myself for the splurge on money. They are funky and practical.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Earth, Adidas running shoes, and Bogs if you hike in the swamp like I do.

 | | Zappos.com was the best place online that I've ever shopped. I originally ordered the wrong size, I called them, they shipped me the correct size for free and waited for me to send back the pair that didn't fit. They also expedited my shipping for both orders. They have excellent customer service reps and I will recommend this site to everyone!!! | | ~ Elizabeth B., July 09 2008
