Nice shoes -
Love the look and love the comfort. I did not have the chance to test the boots on the snow, but so far so good. Very comfy!! Warm and trendy looking.

Beautiful boots!
I needed a boot that was good for city walking in the winter as well as being waterproof. I like footwear that makes my size 10 feet look smaller. The first pair I received had a dent in the leather which pressed inwards just above my outer ankle. Zappos is not charging me the $15 which Canadians pay for returns. I reordered and am thrilled.

Nanuk Tackles the Chicago Winter -
It's February. In Chicago. And for some reason the stores here are all breaking out their fashionable spring lines..."but!" I cry "I don't want sandals! I can't currently sun myself on the hopes and dreams of warmer weather to come... I need some &*%$ winter boots. It's FEBRUARY IN CHICAGO and there's 9 inches of snow on the ground." And thus, I purchased these fine boots online. I've had them a week now and have been wandering around in the snow and slush and general muck of winter and I can tell you that yes, I'm usually a 7 and after trying them both, I ended up keeping the 7 1/2. I think it's just a personal preference. They both fit fine, just differently. Yes, they are very warm and fuzzy on the inside. Yes, you can easily just pull them on and off. And yes, they're waterproof. I'm very happy with my new Ulu shoes. Though I agree that the tread is a bit on the slippy side, it's not a big deal and still does a fine job in my opinion. Happy boot hunting!

Very waterproof and cozy -
I bought these boots mid-winter, right before a major snowstorm. They performed great. Highly waterproof and warm, especially on the leg. They did take a few days to break in in the heel and ankle area (kind of rubbed the wrong way and needed a few band-aids, even through 2 pair of socks). I walk about 4 miles a day in these boots now and they are solid. I only wish the treads on the bottom were a little more defined because I find myself slipping a bit on the ice rather than gripping into it. I bought a half size larger than normal and that seemed right for the style/use.

GREAT -
They are a little loose, so you could wear thicker socks with your regular size. They look and feel great. They do not tighten with the tie on front (looks only), but overall they fit the bill for a ski trip and shopping in town when cold and wet.

Love these boots!
I got these this winter- and they have just been great. The tread on the bottom isn't as beefy as I would like (I kinda slipped and slided in really icy places), but overall I love them. I first ordered a 7.5 (see below reviews) but had to return them for my true size of 8.

These were not my dream boots. They are OK, but not as comfy as hoped. The arch support is so-so, and the looks, too. I ordered the half-size up recommended by other reviewers, and they fit OK, but just aren't as great-looking as I had hoped. I like the Ulu Suora and Ulu Seona much better. Had the Ulu Suluk come in my size, I would've gotten it, for a shorter boot. Much cuter, and might have a better fit, too.

Waterproof???
After spending hours online for the perfect winter boot, I decided on these. They seemed to mix function with some amount of style. Although they are a bit clunky looking I compromised for the fact that they claim to be waterproof. FALSE. I live in Colorado, and tromp through snow slush and everything else daily. I am really disappointed; I just want a waterproof boot! Why can't a product just be as advertised? They are comfortable, after breaking in a bit. I just put some waterproof treatment on them, so we'll see how that works.

great traction and cozy -
I am very pleased with my purchase. I did send the first pair back because of following the reviews posted here I went up a half size. I am a true 8 1/2 and that is what I ended up buying. Warm, waterproof and look good to boot. I have plenty of room for my high instep area and the overall fit is very comfortable (I am fairly narrow)

BEST boots ever!!!
I had been looking for boots for forever and after ordering many a pair and returning many a pair, I saw these one day and decided to give them a shot. They are all I was looking for, warmth, waterproof and GREAT looking. Super comfortable and flattering for a size 10 boot. I may get them in another color or the same and put them away for later in case I wear the other ones out from wearing them so much.

Super looks, super comfort, super shopping experience -
I love these boots. They are warm, so far, they are waterproof, although I have not had the chance to try them through puddles & snow. I usually wear a 10 but followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered 1/2 size up - and they were the right size. They are v comfy -no breaking-in required. And, of course, Zappos is the best in price & service.

Very comfortable to wear except for a spot where the leather folds near my ankle. I bought a half size larger than normal because a previous pair of Ulu boots in my size was too small. I assume this spot will soften when I break in the boots.

Gorgeous boot, but high insteppers beware -
I would have called the Nanuks "a boot for the ages!" if only there were more room in the instep. Sizing up relieves the pressure across the top of the foot, but then the heel wobbles a bit. Since I won't be climbing mountains in them, I can forgive that. The comfort is otherwise superb. If you have a low instep, they will probably feel like slippers. These are excellent quality, beautiful boots - and what a killer price!

Disappointed :(
I received my Ulu Nanuks today. I was so excited, then I did as they suggest and walked around the house in them. It felt so good to take them off. I guess that isn't a good sign, so am returning them. I would suggest sizing up about 1/2 a size.

Great Boot -
This is a great boot! It is very well made: Lamb's wool, leather and permaloft. Very light weight and waterproof. It is designed to be worn in the great outdoors of Midwest winters. It is an easy pull-on boot; no zipper. It will age with grace and character. Great for early morning dog walks. Zappos is great too. I placed the order at 10 p.m. and had the boots the next afternoon. No tax or shipping. Good experience.
