I had to have character shoes for my Social Dance class at MTSU and I found these for a great price so I ordered them and got them two days later after Labor Day weekend. They aren't the most stylish, but they get the job done and are comfy.

This shoe is just a nice, not too costly, adequate shoe; it is comfortable, and the canvas is not that ugly. The pink on the strap is strange but it's a pale pink, not a hot pink as some people seem to claim (unless they've changed the design). I would probably go with a more traditional character shoe next time, but this one was less costly. Also, it runs a tiny bit large, but I kept the size I ordered because I wasn't sure if the next size down would be too small.

I AM THANKFUL AND PLEASED...I am doing a show (a play) that requires me to change shoes quickly, feel comfortable and enables me to walk (I am not kidding) without stumbling around. I am having knee surgery right after the performance. These shoes are terrific in every way, even the pink elastic works with my pink skirt. I have been rehearsing in them just to make certain they would work for me and they do indeed. Thanks again to Zappos for getting them here in what seems to be a blink of the eye.

Great ballroom dance shoe! It feels so comfortable, has the perfect heel for me and enables me to spin easily. And it protects my toes from partners.

Dancing Shoes -
I was wondering about these shoes, I thought that I would give them a try. I started back into square dancing again. I was worried about the heel, but all is going well with the shoes. They fit very well to the size, able to spin well without any problems. The only thing is that the strap is a weird color pink. It is not a bright pink nor a dull pink. I wish that the strap was black to match the rest of the shoe. I am very happy with the shoes, and I can dance without any pain in the feet and no blisters even the first time wearing them. They are a canvas and feel comfortable to dance in all night and then some.

Great Practice Shoe -
I bought this shoe for an Argentine tango class. It worked perfect - just the right amount of slide with a little grip from the suede soil. Enough heel to provide some lift and not too much for me. I bought a half size larger so I could place a pad under the ball of the foot. It might run a quarter size small. I marked the look down one star for the pink elastic strap.

I think these shoes might be magic -
I can actually dance now. When I was trying to do it in my street shoes, I couldn't. Now I can. Magic, I say. Very comfortable, easy to wear. No blisters or little sore spots on the very first wearing. Excellent shoe for a really great price!

Excellent shoe for dancing. Great comfort, sole grabs the floor, but allows you to freely spin and move, without fear of slipping.

Good for dance and Work!
I used these shoes for a tradeshow where I stand for 8 hours straight! They were wonderful! My feet didn't hurt until the very end of the day, which is a lot better than my regular shoes where I am aching after a couple hours! I was super stoked with the price and that I can now use them for jazz classes too! Two birds, one stone, always a great thing!
(Only thing I wish is that they had real sole and not soft ones.)

These shoes rule.
They are great for a beginner ballroomer such as myself. The heel isn't too high and they stay on my feet! The detailed pictures from many angles, customer feedback on fit, size chart, and free return shipping gave me tons on confidence to shop for shoes online - something I wouldn't consider on any other site!

Not too bad, very happy with this product -
The pink strap would have been better black, however other than that this shoe has been WONDERFUL for me! Still hasn't broken in, but it never will due to the canvas material. But really a great dancing shoe, especially for the price!

Very practical -
I started swing dancing a few months ago and was tired of trying to dance in sneakers but didn't want to drop a bunch of money on fancy shoes. These are canvas (downside to that: they're not going to break in, so the one place that they rub I just wear a clear band-aid with them) and have a reasonable heel and, at least for my preferences, an appropriate amount of traction. The pink strap is ugly, and I wonder why they didn't make it black (since it's not like the pink blends with anybody's skin tone), but it keeps the shoe on- I'm going to look into getting it replaced with a black one. On the whole, way more comfort, practicality and style (in spite of the pink strap) than I would have expected from a shoe this price.
