This excellent boot is made with high quality materials and leather and is comfortable to wear, but a little heavy. I got these for all weather work and I am very happy with these boots, but I wouldn\'t recommend these boots for casual wear after hours.

After several Zappos purchases and returns I'm finally keeping some shoes! I'm not completely convinced that these Chukkas are worth the price, especially since they're made out of kangaroo. That said they are very well made, surprisingly light and comfortable. I've been wearing GBX for years and have grown accustomed to a bigger boot style. While these aren't as "big" as the GBXs they are a nice compromise compared to the smaller Timberland or Dr Marten style of boot. Gore-Tex lining can make the feet a little sweatier than normal, but there will be no leaching of sweat into the leather. All in all I'm happy with my purchase.

This pair of shoes fit like I had been wearing them for a while. The photo doesn't do them justice. Excellent!

Great Boot!
I got a pair of Countrysiders for Christmas and was initially weary of how stiff they were. It turns out that after about four weeks of wearing them I couldn't be more pleased. The wrap-around tongue can rub at the fold, but I put a carpenter's wood clamp on it in a position that worked and it fixed the problem. They are incredibly light. The kangaroo hide is fantastic. I am a developer and they are the perfect boot for me. Very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Outstanding shoe -
The overall quality is outstanding. I received several compliments the first time I wore them. A little stiff at first but the more the wear them the more they are loosening up. I prefer a shoe like this to be stiffer at first and then break in over time that way they will hold their shape better. I have always been overly satisfied with any Red Wing product.
Zappos.com service was outstanding. I told a co-worker that there is no reason to ever buy shoes from a store again.
