These are great walking socks! They won't have any rub spots and are true to size. Buying from Zappos.com is the way to shop online! They provide the best service and information on products.

For doing a lot of walking on a long visit to NYC, I needed more serious socks. These fit the bill very well. Good fit, comfortable, no blisters!

Best casual socks ever -
These are the most comfortable casual socks ever. They also hold up extremely well over time. I just added a new color – navy - to my collection of white, black, and brown socks that I have been wearing on a daily basis for over a year. I can't stand to wear any other socks!

Superior Athletic Socks!
I have used this style of Thorlos for more than five years. The fit is perfect. I love the cushioning in the toe and heal areas. The best feature is the ideal band of support in the arch. I walk between 5 and 10 miles a day, five days a week, so I think I am in a position to judge walking comfort. These are the absolute BEST athletic socks for distance walking. They're not bad for just kicking back either.

Heaven on my feet -
I have worn Thorlos for years. They are extremely durable and well padded and add a level of protection for the heel and ball of the foot. They make all of my shoes more comfortable. They are thicker than the average sock and won't fit well if your shoes tend to be tight.

The very best -
These are the very best socks that I have ever purchased I’ve always been looking for a sock that doesn’t fall down in my shoe and these are them and really very soft too. No shrinkage either; I have had problems in the past with socks that shrink even when I have paid good money for them. Marie from Missouri

The padding on the bottom is great - I have several pair already of the Thorlo socks. Seems only the black ones have the less-effective thin string of elastic at the top. The others have ribbed elastic all down to the ankle which makes for longer lifetime of sock and more comfortable feel.

I've been wearing these socks for at least 10 years (not the same pair, obviously, but this style) because they are the only walking sock available in a size that fits me.
I wear a size 6 shoe and the 'normal' woman's size is too big so I buy the smallest (children's?) size which fits me perfectly.
I used to be able to get that size in black but it's no longer available so I'm forced to get the white color.
I still buy them because they fit so well but I'd buy more of them if they came in black.
I've never worn any other walking sock because they're all too big but these are very comfortable for both long-distance walking and every-day wear.

This sock has almost too much padding for me. It's extremely comfortable and soft but puts me up another shoe size because of the bulk. The regular Thorlos Level 3 Work Crew works best for me.

My husband loves the comfort and fit of these socks. The only negative was the pack of "sand" colored socks. The color definitely has a yellow tinge – more like French vanilla ice cream than sand.

The best sox I know of.
I have been wearing Thorlos Walking Crew for about 13 years; they are the only sox I do wear. I have a foot that tires very soon whenever I use any other kind of sox/stockings, so maybe you will understand that I am quite selective about what goes on my feet. I can only say that I am very satisfied with Thorlos!!!

Great sox!
When I was able to walk for exercise these sox were great, but after several surgeries etc. the Thorlos got pushed back in my sox drawer. FORGOTTEN! Now, after hip & knee replacements, along with bad feet/fallen arches I'm back into Thorlos and my feet are feeling much better since they help eliminate swelling and fluid retention much better than surgical support stockings and Thorlos are far more comfortable and much easier to put on. The Thorlos arch support is wonderful. I wear a lot of black so I was thrilled finding Thorlos in black since my FASHION choices are very limited, I'm forced to wear UGLY shoes. Zappos has wonderful service, the best ever!!!

Expensive socks -
I normally wouldn't pay this for socks, but had a refund coming from Zappos and thought I'd apply that to try these.
They are comfortable, thick, and the best socks I've ever had. They haven't been washed enough to comment on that, but by following the instructions, turning the socks inside out and using liquid fabric softener, they have come through so far in excellent condition. I also used the nylon mesh bag for delicate fabrics.
There is some wear on one pair that I wore with Velcro closures. Probably from my feet rubbing together since the wear is just below the ankle.
Zappos service remains THE BEST!

Too loose for my narrow heels -
I have been hooked on the Eurosocks brand of socks, but when they were out of stock recently I decided to try the Thorlos. They were soft, thick and cushy, but I found that they did not stay up. They would creep down my shoe and I would be constantly adjusting them. It could just be my feet, but if you have narrow feet, or don't like the feeling of a non-snug sock, I would not recommend this sock.

They are a bit thick, and they look like they would be hot, but they actually keep my feet dry and cool. They are a lot cooler than cotton socks.

The service from Zappos keeps me coming back for more!
I placed an order for these socks at 7:30PM on Thursday...they arrived at my front door by 3:30PM the NEXT DAY on Friday! The shipping estimator states that orders processed after 1:30pm will leave the following day for overnight shipping...so I wasn't expecting to receive this until Monday. What great service! Now, about the socks. They are very comfortable and soft. The knit is a little looser than I was expecting, and I was also expecting more support in the arch. Overall, I'm happy though. Good quality sock.

I have tried other "walking" socks and have been very pleased. When I needed some in black (instead of white) they were not available in the brand that I liked so much. So I tried Thorlos, a brand I knew nothing about beyond the Zappos consumer comments. Thorlos are great. I very much like the thick sole of the sock ... when one is on his/her feet all day this cushion makes all the difference.

A little saggy -
The elastic is not as tight as I would like it and the socks get a little saggy. Otherwise they are soft and cozy. I think I prefer the running socks. I haven't tried the hiking variety, but will try those.

Only Thorlos for me -
I’ve been wearing Thorlos since graduating college in 1989.
Thorlo is the only brand of sox I’ll wear now - golfing or walking crew-styles as dress casual in black or dark-blue for the office; white mini-crews with short pants on weekends; roll-tops for running the hike and bike trail; the basketball style for weight lifting; tan-colored crew sox that match my uniform; and Thorlo Hikers for hunting, fishing, and other outdoor fun.
Why only Thorlos? They’re the most comfortable sox I’ve found for all-day wearing and they last for years!
These are really thick sox. So you may consider getting new shoes a half a size larger for wearing original Thorlos. Their “light” line of sox are not as thick. However, I prefer the original thick ones.
Also, wash these in warm water, inside-out with a liquid fabric softener.
Your feet are gonna be happy-happy.

These socks are great!
I love my Thorlos Walking Crew socks. I wear them with a pair of new MBT oxfords that are very comfortable to start with, but that are ever so slightly large for me. These socks provide comfort and take up the necessary room to provide a good fit for my shoes. The socks wash and dry very well, and have remained soft and true to size.

Cushy soxs -
These are supper soft and comfy. They don't breathe well; however, and make for sweaty feet. They might be improved by a thin cotton sock underneath. They look kind of dorky but make up for it in comfort. You should note the special washing instructions.
