Not True to Size -
If a shoemaker can't get the size right, they should find another profession. People order shoes based on size. The stated size of this shoe is incorrect. I ordered a 9.5, but it is too small by at least a half size, which means going through the hassle of returning it. Sellers should also tell customers which size to order when manufacturers goof up.

I love them!
I tried these mainly because of the event brand waterproofing, which I am a big fan of over Gore-Tex. The waterproofing is awesome and breathable. My first day out in them was a 45F an rainy afternoon in NoCal. My feet stayed dry and comfortably warm and the treads gave good traction for me.
I didn't submerge or run in them, but the stayed dry in the constant drizzle and were very comfy over the 8 hours I was out. I did not put a lot of miles on them or wear a pack that day. I have since logged some miles on them and they are very comfortable. Quick note I pulled out the factory insole and put in a pair of (orange) "Superfeet" arch support insoles which probably helped me to overcome some of the complaints in the other reviews. I would definitely re-purchase these shoes. They are now my faves for everyday wear when I need to go out and might get wet.

Worst money I’ve ever spent!! Very uncomfortable shoe!
WARNING; this overpriced shoe is perfect for anyone who likes the feel of swollen, aching feet, I have never felt a more uncomfortable shoe in my life! Bad deal at even $10.00 a pair. Honestly!!

Aching metatarsals -
Most of Keens shoes work for me, been wearing them since they began a few yrs ago; But....I am returning these Ochocos. I find they lack enough cushion in the forefoot area, esp with the heel height putting more pressure on the metatarsals. I do like the heel and depth but I have to be honest and say, in my foot's opinion this is not a comfortable shoe due to the heel/forefoot ratio combined with not enough cushion for the metatarsals.

Quality shoes.
I wasn't really sure what to expect in a trail runner by Keen. I own a pair of Newport sandals, and love them, but still wasn't sure they could pull off a good running shoe. I'm working in Iraq right now, and there are lots of rocks on the roads, and of course lots of dirt. Anyway, I've had them now for about three weeks, and have put alot of miles on them. Winter here is rainy season, so them being waterproof helps that much more.

So far I really like the shoe! I haven't really
put it to the test yet, with some longer hikes.
It fits like a glove the first time I put it on!

Keen & Zappos, the first team in footwear.
The Ochoco WP by Keen is light, very comfy, supportive, & way cool looking. Zappos gave me great service, did a cheerful price match, 2day delivery. The dogs & I did some muddy trail running. The shoes are WP, cleaned up easily & felt great out of the box. GO up a half size!

The CS rep I talked to went the step BEYOND looking at Earth's website, which I had done, as well; CALLED them to find the answer to my question; AND, got back to me so quickly, that’s really IMPRESSIVE! This is what one SHOULD be able to expect from a customer care representative, but unfortunately does not always receive! THANK YOU!! BRAVA!! :)) I look forward to receiving these shoes, as I have SO much trouble with shoes!! And, to a long relationship if all goes well!
