I\'ve had my 5.10 Savants for a few weeks and I really like them. I got them for parkour and they work really well. They\'re very comfortable and good for running in, and have great traction even with all the dust etc. picked up from walking around. They have great shock absorption and are a great fit for me. I like the way they look and am happy with my purchase.

This is the best light weight approach shoe I've ever worn. I love the fit which is a true size 11 in my case. and you can't beat the rummer on the soles. Five ten has done it again. The best in comfort and performance.

Looks very cool but no cushioning -
I really like how these shoes look and they have excellent traction. Their only flaw is they are very ridged, almost no cushion or support. So a pair of shoes that I was planning on having for the gym have become a pair of really cool street shoes.

5.10 Savant Review -
These shoes are great! They are comfortable enough to wear all day, and decent looking. They worked great for hiking, the trails and rocks were a little wet, but I never lost my footing. Their grip on concrete was good too, great for free running.

Five Ten -
The Five Ten's Savant is an amazing shoe. I use them for free running. The grip is Incredible, making it an extremely easy to run up walls, and basically grip any surface you come across. Not only is the grip good but it also looks good, its light weight, and it feels great. This is by far the best pair of shoes I’ve ever owned.

Tapeats cave, deer creek slot, & scotties hollow -
I recently completed a 9-day Grand Canyon hike, mostly off trail, doing the Indian hollow-kanab creek-fishtail-deer creek-lower tapeats-tapeats cave-thunder river-deer creek-cranberry canyon loop. This was the first trip for the Savant's on my brother-in-law's recommendation. I used them for the 'fun' days exploring the slot canyons of Scotties hollow, slide of susurus, deer creek slot, tapeats cave and thunder river. They performed superbly on all terrain and exposure conditions and especially gripped tenaciously in the wet, slick-walled rock of the slots. I even hiked several miles under full (~60 pound) pack with plenty of support. These are keepers and will hold a well-deserved place of honor next to my original 5-10's that have seen me through the jug, buckskin, and dozens of Lake Powell slot canyons over the years. DD

Excellent... but.
If only it didn't leave black marks so easy in urban environments. But if you do any rural or suburban free running or just need a shoe that can climb a waterfall, run a trail, leap over a wall, stick to almost any surface and that will hold up, this is it. Very durable and dirt resistant exterior. Very comfortable and dry fast. C4 rubber on toe and instep make climbing short distances a breeze. Rock solid product.
