This is a great shoe that was comfortable out of the box and shines beautifully. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who needs a nice dress shoe appropriate for business or dress wear.

Needed some stretching, heels are plastic and doesn't last that long and makes loud noise. The soles are part leather and part thin rubber, would have been better if sole was all leather of 1/2 rubber. Replacement rubber heels installed and no other problems, holds a great shine.

My husband likes them.
We bought these for my husband to wear with his tux but feel they were a wise purchase because they will also look appropriate with his work attire. They are high quality nice looking shoes and my husband had only good things to say about the comfort.

Great Shoe!
This is a high quality shoe with a great look. They are a little tough to break in because the leather is so thick (again, high quality). As you continue to wear them daily they feel better all the while. I have a wide and weird shaped foot and it’s hard to find a good fitting pair of shoes. I think, once I finally get them broken in, that these will be a great pair of shoes in fit, comfort and look.

As a retired Marine, this is a great shoe! It is a classic military style shoe and I love it. What an awesome shoe to kick some maggots head off with. HOO-RAH!

Great dress shoe!
Like another reviewer, I bought these shoes to wear with the tux in my daughter's wedding. I have worn them, before the big day, to ensure that they fit well and are comfortable. They pass with flying colors on both counts! As a retired Navy officer, I also appreciate the fact that they shine well and easily. The look is classic and classy, with an updated treatment at the heel. Unlike some "inspection shoes" I had, these are actually comfortable for walking and standing. The service from Zappos was also great.

Best work shoe ever -
I have had pair of Bostonian Classics that look a lot like the Denver for close to 10 years now and the structure and body are still in great shape. I have had it re-heeled once. It’s up for a 2nd reheeling, but I think I am going to get a new pair.
I love the shoes and its classic Oxford look, good job Bostonian!!

Just another shoe outta Boston...
Nice. I knew once I saw the cut & jib of these dog shirts, I was sold. Sweet looking, and comfortable, they broke in and feel like a second skin. I wear no other shoes but Bostonians, and the Denver model just echoes the reason why...sweet.

Great shoe!
Right out of the box these shoes looked awesome. I have wide feet, and the "wide" size fit perfectly! I'm in the military and am on my feet all day...super comfortable, and you can put a mirror-like shine on them very easily. Highly recommend!

I am a naval officer and this shoe is great. It looks great, is amenable to a wicked shine, and is much more comfortable than Bates. This is a great, high quality plain toe Oxford.

I absolutely love this shoe! Working for the Government I like to keep a military shine on my shoes, and because of the structure of the front, this is the perfect shoe for that perfect shine. Definitely worth the money, almost a perfect fit from the beginning, only wish they had a wide width in 11.5. Overnight shipped and would definitely purchase from Zappos again.

 |  | I am a F.T. bar tender and am on my feet all night standing, walking and sometimes running! I work hard! I have had the same work shoes that I LOVE for about 10 years! I found your site through my daughter and found a pair of what I thought would be good work shoes. I saved my tips and months later made the order. I was ambivalent about spending so much money on SHOES but decided to just do it! They arrived yesterday morning! I wore them last night for the first time forgetting to bring a back up pair in case they hurt (new shoes and all). Well, I'm just sooooo happy to say that I LOVE them! My feet were just fine – ALL NIGHT! They were like wearing slippers w/ arch support. This morning I put my poor old tired out work shoes in the trash with no regrets! Your staff was SO kind and helpful over the phone and the promptness of delivery was amazing! Thank you so much!
