Squeaky -
I have purchased 3 pairs and they all fit perfect and comfortable, but after they are broken in, they squeak! Not just one pair, but all 3. This has not happened with any other shoe I have purchased. Very strange.

Squeak like a rusty door hinge with every step -
Disappointing overall irrespective of price. Shoes were a half size larger than marked. Look good and holds a shine well but that's all they have going for them.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Florsheim- worth the price every time.

More cheaply made than in the past.
Still a decent shoe for the price. Size seems a tad small. Have owned this shoe in the past (I always wear Bostonian) and the shoe is a little more cheaply made than in the past. Still, a good value.

Good shoe. Looks like a $300 shoe. Feels a little stiff a first. Also it hurts my ankle when I walk. Wears great and stays shiny for a long time with out much care.

I typically wear a 10 and 1/2 shoe. But for the best comfort, I had to but 11 1/2 in this shoe. Disregard the size chart and find a pair that is comfortable! Great shoe at any size.

Other then being a little stiff the first couple of wearings this is a very comfortable shoe. For the price it is very long lasting and durable.

Classics are forever -
I bought these shoes to wear with suits, and they're perfect for the classic look. These shoes are beautifully constructed and take a mirror-like shine when polished. The only drawback is that they're not particularly comfortable for walking long distances or standing for long periods of time since the shoes don't have much padding, particularly on the balls of your feet. Despite that, I would definitely purchase another pair when these wear out.

 |  | Dear Zappos, My daughter (Morgan) is a student at Ohio State University.
Approximately one month ago she had emergency gall bladder surgery. On Tuesday, September 15th, she had a follow up with her surgeon before she was to leave to move into her dorm on Thursday, September 17th. At the appointment, the surgeon advised that under no circumstances was she to lift over ten pounds until the end of October. We were told to that she would have to use a rolling book bag. My friend highly recommended Zappos.com. On Tuesday, September 15th, Morgan and I picked out a book bag from Zappos. Morgan was so anxious to place her online order, she did not choose the priority shipping option. I called Zappos within 15 minutes of her placing the order. Your customer service rep was very kind and far exceeded my customer service expectations by making me a VIP and offering to waive the
overnight fee. I was very impressed and very grateful. The bag arrived overnight as promised, but it was too small. I hated to return the book bag because your rep had been so kind. Yesterday, a beautiful get well bouquet arrived at our home for Morgan. It was from Zappos! There is no way I will return that bag without picking something else out from Zappos. In addition, I want EVERYONE to know what a wonderful company you are. I am so impressed and cannot thank you enough Zappos! Also, thank you for giving me the e-mail address to send my feedback.
