I bought two pair, wore them constantly, and they lasted for 6 years. They were used everywhere from rafting/hiking in the Grand Canyon to mowing the grass. These socks are extremely breathable, and comfortable. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Wigwam’s Ultimax Mid Hiker -
This is a great sock. The fit is perfect and my feet are always comfortable and warm. I have only used them during the cold winter months, so I'm not sure how they will perform in the summer months. Highly recommend.

Nice socks. I’m trying to get used to the ankle height, but they do not bite my legs and leave those ugly painful indents. These socks are well made and help me with a nerve syndrome I suffer from.

Great socks for serious runners -
I just love these socks. They are a bit more heavy duty, and I have had a few pair that I cannot destroy. An excellent product.

Great Socks!!
I bought these for my husband, who is very fussy about his socks. From the minute he put them on, he has loved them. He said they are the very comfortable and allow his feet to breathe. You must try these socks!!!

Worth every penny!
About 1 1/2 years ago I bought a pair of socks in a local bike shop. They cost $12.00. I'd never bought a pair of socks at a price like that, but they were the best quality and most comfortable socks I had ever owned. I wear that pair often and they are still in fantastic shape. These are not your typical department store or discount store socks. I could never find those same socks again until browsing Zappos and I found them! I love these socks. They will last a very long time!
I wish they came in dark brown in the XL size.

Wigwam Ultimax Cool-Lite Mid Hiker -
I was in a mall in Tulsa wearing uncomfortable sandals that were making me miserable. I ducked into an athletic shoe store and, in desperation, bought a pair of Merrell athletic shoes. Needing a pair of socks to go with them, I asked the manager for his recommendation. He recommended this sock. I have to agree with him...the sock is well-made, very comfortable, and doesn't ride down in the heel area like other socks do, ending up bunched up under your heel. When I have serious walking to do (power shopping or fitness walking), I will only wear these socks. They're not the greatest to look at -- why can't they just make the same exact sock in all white and all black? -- but my feet are important enough to me that I don't care much what they look like. I really love these socks!

best quarter sock I have ever owned. Keeps feet dry all day and does not fall down into shoe. Great to wear for work shoes or sneakers.

They are good for hiking and outdoors as well as inside my Dansko clogs. They run a little big and do not shrink in the dryer.

 |  | I just want to thank you, and commend the customer service staff at Zappos. I just couldn't believe it when you actually kept me abreast of the certain pair of shoes I was looking for! Having a size 4- 1/2 foot, is very hard finding shoes. I could wear certain kinds of shoes such as boots, clogs, etc…but having to wear 3 heavy pairs of socks in order for them to fit! Well, they fit, but my feet kill me! Clogs such as the ones I purchased, seem to be more comfortable. I'm just hoping that they're not too big for me. I can’t wait to get them and see!
