I've been wearing Clarks Natureveldts for about thirty-five years. The quality continues to go down with each pair I purchase. Thickness of the leather is less. Laces wear out rapidly. Soles wear out faster. Innersoles disintegrate. I remain satisfied with the fit, wide toe box, and comfort, and the performance of the sole in wet conditions (pretty no-slip) but wish they would wear like in earlier days. Am I imagining this? I've still got a 25-year-old pair in the closet to compare with the new ones. Leather's hard, laces long ago used to replace junky quality new ones, same with innersoles, and my wife keeps on asking me why I don't throw them away. Why? I really don't know myself, except that I look at them with fond walking memories when my new and lesser models wear out.

I love my Clark Natureveldts -
My first pair of Natureveldts were very comfortable and were worn heavily for about two years. The stitching that attaches the sole to the uppers started coming loose. I contacted Clarks and they asked me to send them end for repair/replacement. In about a week, I got a new pair in the mail. I'm still wearing those and have a spare pair stashed in the closet. They are clearly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

These shoes are the best and they look great. I purchased them for my 75 year old father, we had a difficult time selecting a comfortable pair of shoes when we found these we were very satisfied. They are non slip, soft leather, light weight, and extremely comfortable. We liked them so much we ordered another pair right away.

I ordered these Clarks Natureveldts to replace a pair I previous purchased about 6 years ago. My previous pair were great shoes, they fit well, looked good, and were very comfortable; after six years of heavy use, however, the soles completely wore out. The new pair I ordered seemed like a completely different pair of shoes. The fit was different, they felt tighter, and the look of the shoe was also different. I didn't care for the new pair and returned them to Zappos for credit. Zappos is great for returns, making it quite simple. I was disappointed in the shoes (I currently own 3 other pairs of Clarks) but not in Zappos service.

Disintegrating Inner Soles -
This is my third pair of Natureveldts. The first two lasted a long time and were disposed of when the heel wore down too much to wear any longer. My third pair, which I have not owned all that long, has disintegrating inner soles (below the "leather upper". I first noticed it when I'd take my shoes off and leave black smudge marks (disintegrated dust) on the floor. The inner rectangular patterned sole is so disintegrated whole chunks are now missing. The shoes are literally no longer wearable. The heels and soles are fine. I should have gotten many more years out of these shoes. A major disappoint and product failure in my view.

My husband has been wearing Clarks Natureveldt shoes for more than 25 years. It has become quite a challenge to locate them locally (even in a 65 mile radius). Natureveldt For Wide Feet -
Few manufacturers have shoes for wide feet. I've been wearing Clarks Natureveldt for 30 years now, and they continue to be made wide. Love them. They fit great and look good. I just wish Clarks would have more of their styles in wide.

I was trying to replace a pair of Clark's that were purchased about 8-10 years ago. When I went to my local Clark's store I was advised they were no longer in production. These Natureveldts were the closest shoes I could find to the originals and their just as comfortable and good looking. Great shoe.

Originals were amazing. Newer are not-so-great -
I have two pairs of Natureveldts. I bought the first pair about 5 years ago and still love to wear that shoe. Just purchased a new pair last week. The bend in the toe is different - much more narrow than the older pair, which makes them less comfortable. Noticed that they are now made in China. I also picked up a pair of the unstructured (un.bend). Much better. For these two reasons, I likely will not purchase another pair of Natureveldt again.

The most comfortable ever -
I have been wearing Clarks Natureveldt shoes since I discovered them in London in the summer of 1995. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. They are durable and just dressy enough that you can wear them on occasions that don't call for business or formal wear. They are great for travel when you don't want to carry an extra pair of shoes.

Comfortable from the first time I laced them up. Stores don't usually carry size 14 so I am glad to be able to get them from you. I also appreciate the upgrade for shipping and no cost. I wear orthotics and they fit in just right. Thanks.

True to size, immediately comfortable. These shoes have the clunky-cute look of Doc Martens, but with half the weight and ten times the cushioning. I am never taking them off.

Very comfortable shoe...
I'm on my feet for 10 to 12 hours a day and pretty rough on my work shoes.This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worked in.With that kind of use the shoe lasts about 2 1/2 to 3 years. I have gone through 5 pairs of Clarks Natureveldt over the years. The last 3 pairs I've bought on Zappos, a perfect fit every time and it comes right to my door. Love this service.

The new Natureveldt was nothing like my first GREAT pair. These fit tighter, and the toe-bed irritates my foot. After I noticed the problems I discovered that the shoes are now made elsewhere and the toe bed has been changed.
I tried them too long to return them, but can't wear them. I'm just wearing the old pair into dust until I can find something like them.

I bought my first pair 8 years ago. They were the best I ever had and wore them daily until a couple of years ago when I bought a new pair. I am a little disappointed in the newer pair since they seem to be a little stiffer and not quite as comfortable. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be willing to pay more for the shoe if they had the same quality as my first pair. However that said, it's still a good shoe.

The Clark product is an awesome product! This is my 2nd pair. Hopefully this shoe is still around when I need a 3rd pair. Oh BTW, Zappos is great, needed a different size and they made the exchange SUPER easy. Keep up the good work Zappos!

Best shoes ever for me.
I am happy they still make them; although, it is very hard to find in the large size. I wear them for the last 15 years and they hold beautifully. I am very tall and heavy. Better than Mephisto's that are twice the price -or more.

Not the same shoe, a big disappointment -
I have owned several pairs of these shoes in the past 25 years. They were always comfortable the minute I put them on and the durability has been outstanding, but alas, this is not the same shoe. The shoe has changed its footbed and the tongue is flimsy and uncomfortable. After many years, I took back the latest pair I purchased, tried on another pair and decided I'll have to find another for everyday wear.

Great walking shoes!
Unless you have to wear tux shoes these are the best comfort shoes ever. I just bought my third pair. The hold a good shine that says comfy but not shabby.

An understated classic -
These fit wonderfully, they slipped on like a glove, and they are very light, excellent for walking. I was disappointed in the amount of cushioning in the front, the sneaker-style laces, and the admittedly high-quality but thin and pebbled leather. They don't really look much nicer than New Balance walking shoes. Also, I felt my sock was slipping a little on the slick insole. Back they go!
