I liked the idea of these velcro shoes for my 5 yr old son. He needed more of an athletic shoe for school and is not yet tying laces well enough ...he's rough and active. However, after the first day of wear, the insoles in both shoes popped out. After one week of wear, the intentionally exposed portion of the velcro, which is hard to appreciate in the pics was full of lint, dirt, and other unknowns that is really hard to clean. Would keep looking...

For the hard-to-please teen -
My son has issues with shoes - they have to fit just right, hold up to incredible abuse and look sharp. These adidas do it all. We got the white and red and he loves them. And he is very hard on the fastenings...tightening them over and over. A pair of Nikes we had ripped at the fastenings because of this. This shoe made the start of school a little easier this year...

Love these -
My son wears a uniform to school everyday and we wanted a pair of sneakers that looked a little dressier - these are the best! Easy to get on, looks great, and when the toe is scuffed, it doesn’t show. Wonderful! We purchased the brown color and I'm sure we'll be back to get a larger size of the same when he outgrows these.

These are great looking shoes for kids who still don't know how to tie shoes or in our case, don't want to.

My son is using this for a gym shoe because they are required to have a velcro shoe and it is really hard to find a decent velcro shoe in a size 3.5.

This shoe was a good fit and looked great on my son... He wore it to Disney World and I had a hard time getting him to change shoes... I also worked great during the airline check in with the velcro, since you have to remove your shoes... Strings would have been a headache!

My 8-year-old son LOVED these shoes....and we've received lots of compliments on them. They are his "camp" sneakers....velcro assures that he will be the first to get to the next activity! Laces cannot come un-done.... (no laces to worry about) They are very sharp looking too! Would get these for back-to-school in a second!

Great looking shoe!
This was a great shoe choice for my boys. It looks grown up, but has a velcro closure so it is easy for them to put on by themselves. It's a sharp-looking shoe. My only hesitations were that it doesn't run particularly wide (one of my sons has a wide foot - it fits both fine, but is a bit tighter than I'd like on him) and the white on the front of the shoe is pretty easy to scuff up (my four-year-old did it in one wearing!). Just something to think about...

Nice looking shoes -
These shoes look better in person than on the screen because the black stripes are patent leather. They are sleek and flexible shoes. My son likes that the shoes are light weight. However, they do run small. I ordered a half size larger than what his other shoes are.

I purchased this shoe for 10 year old son. One thing that attracted me to this shoe, besides it being a great looking shoe, is the velcro. My son is autistic and he can't tie his shoes. He also is very picky about shoes. I have always had a fight on my hands when I would buy athletic shoes. Not this time. HE LOVES THEM. I don't have to remind him to wear those shoes when he goes out to play. He has gotten a lot of compliments on them as well. A great buy, worth the money.

I ordered these for my 11 yr old son. They look a little like bowling shoes, (my first thought) but he liked them. He hasn’t worn them much yet so I cant say much about that, but he wore them a little around the house and liked them...Zappos is great, I returned the ones I ordered for mea and they refunded me in 3 days.....they make it soooooooo easy.

Cute shoe, somewhat dressier than your standard gym shoe as the stripes are patent leather! Looks snazzy and my 6 year old loves them too! I hate the look of most velcro shoes and these hide that fact well! I also got them in the brown to wear with khakis. My boys tend to have wider than normal feet and these fit them well.

Awesome shoe for 6yo boy with narrow feet -
This shoe is perfect for my son with a narrow foot, not too narrow of a shoe, just right. Plus he is independent with the velcro and excited that they are so cool looking! Delivery is amazing as we all know, ordered on tues and received by 2pm thurs. Zappos rocks!

My four year old son loves these shoes. He only wears these shoes out all his other shoes. I love how well they hold up. You can see that he is a typical little boy on the front of the shoe. But I would recommend these to anybody. Trying to decide which ones I am going to get for him now.

Awesome cool shoe!!!!
My 5yr old loves his "cool" shoes. Of course I love the velcro, can't go wrong with that! I'm hoping they have these for adults; they are so hip & fashionable. Zappos is super fast too. I ordered them 2/1 at like 7pm & they were delivered the next day by mid afternoon. WOW!!! I love Zappos!!!

Love the shoes! They are very versatile. My son has worn them with his khakis to church and with his jeans to school. Very stylish, I've gotten lots of compliments from other moms who asked where I got them, Zappos.com of course. The only thing is that they are not flexible like running shoes; they are kind of stiff like cleats. Also if you purchase the brown ones, the toes scuff easy. My son went out to play in his fort after it rained (muddy) the first day he wore them. I was a little upset about that one since I specifically told him to change into play clothes first. Anyway, I am 100% happy with them and you will be too.

My son loves this shoe! I was looking for the velcro style and this one is the best because the entire strap is one piece of velcro so my son can put them on himself with pride. He also has a narrow foot so this shoe fits his foot like a glove!

Coolest shoe ever -
I got this for my first-grader in the Mustang brown. It is the absolute coolest velcro-type shoe I've ever seen. It is extremely lightweight and comfortable and looks good with everything. I was a little hesitant because they are kind of more expensive than his other shoes (a pair of Merrells and Nikes) but I really love them and so does he.
