Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked

Cute shoe, but a little too small for me. Although it's not clear in the picture, there is clear plastic/vinyl between the tip of the shoe and the blue band. There is absolutely no padding at the ball of the foot. I hate an inconsiderate shoe construction, particularly with high heels that put you directly on the ball of your foot. :(
