This is a very stiff shoe. After a week of wear there is little flexibility. The lacing does not reach high enough to hold the shoe in place; another set of eyes would make the shoe feel more secure. Would not recommend these for hiking.

Thank you! I just got these shoes a few days ago. The shoes fit and they are very comfortable. I think these look nicer in person than on the computer! I did order a pair that were too small, I am SO glad I ordered through Zappos! It was very easy to return the shoes and get another pair the right size. Excellent customer service!

Great shoe. Runs small. I typically wear a 12 in any other shoe, but had to go with a 13 for this one.

I got the shoes for my husband's birthday, but have not given them to him yet. So, I really can't review the shoes yet. However, I just want to say that Zappos service is amazing. I ordered the shoes on Sunday night and I got them on Monday! How did they do it?! Have no idea, but I'm very impressed.

I bought a pair of Keen sandals for the summer and loved them. I needed some new WP hiking/walking shoes and decided to try Keen again. I have not been disappointed. These shoes are tremendous. They fit well, they are extremely comfortable and they have no problem getting wet. Keen has made me a brand enthusiast.

This is my second pair of Keen Targhee II. They are great all around shoes for the Seattle rain and snow and also great for back wood trails. They run a bit small, I typically wear a 12, but found a 13 fit best.

I ordered these mainly to walk the dogs in a hilly, sand over hardpan region and they have been perfect. The sole is more aggressive than you see in the picture which is just what I wanted. I don\'t slip in the loose sand. These are good looking shoes and I also wear them to coffee, etc. I also bought these because I\'m suffering from heel pain at the moment and these have helped. The shoes haven\'t a eliminated the problem, but have been much better than the New Balance shoes I was normally wearing. Took a short hike in the Sierras recently with these, having to walk through some wet areas and streams and was glad they are waterproof. Very nice shoes.

I bought these because I had previously owned a pair (but they were the mid high boots). I knew the width would be good for me and the fit would work out. Other brands (i.e. Merrell) seem to fit me too tight; these fit just right. I have no problem with the laces holding, and they have excellent support for light hiking. I wear them primarily as a work shoe (construction), and with some additional light hiking (day trips), my last pair lasted about a year and a half as my primary shoe.

Got these for my husband to work in. He stands and walks for 12-14 hours a day and loves these shoes. He immediately asked me to order a second pair so that he could switch out day to day.

Well I have had two pairs of these shoes and they are the best I have had since I got rid of my old Salmons. The toe box is large the tread is amazing climbing steep pine needle covered hills is no problem. I like them a half size bigger than I usually order. the water proofing is outstanding I work with the irrigation in the summer time and i never suffered wet feet. In the winter I put small gators over them and no snow goes inside and my feet stay dry and they don\'t clunk like any other of my snow boots.

I spent 30 years in the military. As a result, I have a lot of problems with my feet. These shoes arrived last week and I now wear them every day. Great arch support. I\'ll be back for more!

First! Zappos is the best! Their service and delivery are second to none. I really like the Keen Targhee I purchased, they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I work part-time always on my feet without any discomfort. The only down side, Keen touts itself as an American Company but my shoes were not made in the USA. I wish more companies would disclose this it would be a factor before making a purchase. Otherwise, I am very happy with the shoes.

Very comfortable and sturdy. The only "real" issue is figuring out where to place the tongue. You have to pull it up all the way to make room for the waterproofing material or it can dig into the top of the foot. Once placed in the right spot, it became my favorite shoe.

This is my 4th pair of Keen Targhees. I'm a real estate developer and need a good strong waterproof shoe on many job sites. They are also the only shoe I'll wear while flying coast to coast. I've literally worn the soles off these shoes and then retire them to outside work shoes at home. Order one size larger than you would normally. The comfort is awesome. I have a narrow foot and have never had a problem with any Keen product (I have several pairs). In fact these shoes have helped my heel spur problem. My children also wear Keen now. Overall, a great product!

I got these shoes today, and took me about 5 minutes to realize that the fit is horrible. They are way too wide, and they feel real loose around the heel. Plus, the upper could be a lot nicer. For the price, stay away.

This my second pair of Keens and both have been absolutely great. Very comfortable right out of the box. When I ordered the first pair on a Sunday evening and they were delivered the next day at no additional cost I was hooked. I\'ll probably never shop for shoes in a mall again.

These are, bar none, the most comfortable shoes I\'ve ever worn. I\'ve just about worn out my second pair of Targhees and love them! These are the only shoes I can wear all day without aching feet. I love the fact that they are waterproof. All in all they have held up very well for the amount of abuse I\'ve given them. Particularly impressive is that the footbed hasn\'t completely crapped out over time. Well done, Keen! Highly recommend these shoes!

Fit perfect, very comfortable. I have been experiencing heel pain for the last few months. Within a few hours of wearing these shoes pain stared to subside. Hopefully after a few days it will be completely gone.

I use these shoes for playing disc golf. With the extra protection over the toe I never have to worry about the bottoms tearing when I scrape my foot along the tee pad. They are extremely comfortable to walk around in all day. They are also water resistant so no need to worry about cold soggy feet when they get a little wet. I would recommended these shoes to anyone doing anything trail related. 5 stars all the way.

Great Walking Shoe -
This shoe held up well during a recent walking tour of Paris. I am 6'6" and have trouble finding shoes that support my frame. These shoes did the job. I wear an orthotic so the removable insole was a great advantage. Overall a great shoe for walking and hiking in my opinion.

Great Shoes for Alaskan Breakups -
I wear a ladies 9, but bought a man’s 8 and was a perfect fit. This is my second pair. First pair lasted a year with continuous wearing; just the right height and great traction. I walk outdoors a lot so they’re great for going in and out. Love Keen and love this style of shoe. Has a wider toe than a ladies so the man’s fits better in this shoe.

I have had two pairs of these. The first was replaced when, after about a week, a lace loop blew out. The second is failing prematurely due to delamination of the toe cap. Otherwise, the shoes are very comfortable.

Outdoor shoes -
One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn; the Keen Targhee II will not let you down when it comes to outside activities. They are ugly as sin and will not help you pick up chicks (unless they are the granola type), but your feet will fall in love with them. I give it an overall 5 out of 5, however if you buy you might buy a half size smaller.

Saved Me!
I had never been hiking before and ended up doing an 8 hour hike 9 miles up to 12500 feet, it was steep, tough and long. I was dying but at least I didn't have to worry about my feet. These shoes were super comfortable and had great traction. Another guy in our group wasn't so lucky with the shoes he had, his feet were tore up. I don't know what I would have done without them!
