Excellent, well-made shoes. I like the straps on these better than the ones that go all the way across and back before the velcro. These are much easier for my son to put on himself.

Comfortable shoe when properly fitted...They run about a size small and are uncomfortably hot if they don’t fit right...Next time I may go with a version with a little less webbing.

Excellent shoes for summer! Son loves them and picks them to wear over his other sandals. Good looking too and clean up quite easily. He loves the camo detail on the bottom. Nice finish for an already exceptional shoe!

I got these shoes for my husband and he loves them! He says they are so comfortable. His only complaint is that they are a little hard to put on but once on, they are great.

Great product. These sandals do a great job of protecting the toes and staying on our feet when wading through water. The traction is also very good. These sandals are easy to clean and dry quickly. The fit was right on the money as well. Great product.

These sandals were an instant hit with my husband, who is notoriously picky about his footwear as he has wide feet. The sandals felt true to size, wider than medium, with adequate arch support. He can trek all over the terrain without leaving his sandals behind. The sandals are light and not clunky. I would have bought a pair for myself but the Newports didn't allow enough toe space for my hammertoes on one foot. For myself, I bought a pair Keen Venice H2, which worked just fine. Great sandals for people who practice yoga or go barefoot a lot. Loved them!

The Keen Newports are awesome shoes. They are comfortable, they are rugged, and you can wear them into the water and out of the water. Because they are all nylon they dry instantly. They actually provide excellent support with a built in arch and fit very well. I wish I could wear them to work!

I can't say enough about these sandals. I bought them earlier this year and just got back from a Florida vacation that included hauling three kids under 5 years old around Disney. Every time I put these on I was surprised by how comfortable they felt. At the end of two 12-hour days at Disney my feet and hips were not nearly as fatigued as any other sandal or shoe I've owned. My wife bought a pair of Keen sandals and had the same reaction: surprised how light and comfortable they felt at the end of the day. I was concerned about hot feet with the amount of fabric on them but they remained comfortable when temperatures were 95 and 100 degrees at the park. I wear a 14 D and these fit exactly as I'd hoped. I also have a pair of Keen boots that have performed well.

I researched for a long time before I settled on Keens for my outdoor needs. My mom had told me how much she liked hers. I brought them to Costa Rica with me and wore them on all of my adventure activities. We zip lined, rappelled waterfalls, white water rafted, etc. and the Keens were awesome for each. They dry as quickly as advertised, stay comfortable when wet or dry, and are great for all terrains. If you need an active sandal this one is incredible. I can't say enough good things about these. My only qualm is that they aren't the best looking shoes I've ever had, but who really cares if you need them for function? Awesome...just awesome.

What a GREAT product! I just came back from a weekend camping trip and the Keen sandals worked great. When I put them on, it was like putting on an old pair of sneakers... They were sooooo comfortable. Great for in the creek, along the lake or walking thru the woods.

Right out of the box, fit perfectly, feel great. Excellent arch support you don’t normally expect from a sandal. Super ventilation. Really nice looking. Wish they had the red and green, but they’re out.

Great fitting active sandal. Offers moderate protection around the foot and toes which are a plus. Use them all the time by the pool, boat, and docks, as well as going shopping in them... all around good utility shoe! True to fit and great ease of tightening/loosening. Love it!

I got these because I wanted something with the airy, comfortable feel of sandals minus the wimpiness - I needed real sandals, ones I could run in without stubbing my toes. Unfortunately, the Newports have about as much airflow as sneakers, so while I can run in them, the price tag really isn't justified since I can get more comfortable sneaks for less. However - when it comes to water - you'll find the Newports are hard to beat. These are ideal for wading in creeks (and as I've read, going rafting etc.) If those are some of your hobbies, definitely consider investing in a pair. Oh - and the kicks are pretty stylish too. They might not turn heads, but hey, they look pretty sweet.

Moving to a warmer climate, I wanted open-construction footgear for everyday use. After two weeks, my Keen Newports fit my feet and my requirements exactly. Worth it.

My second pair of Keens my first was the Newport. I would advise everyone who is making the switch between the leather Newport to the Newport H2 order it a size larger, they fit tighter and don't stretch out like the Newports do after wear. This is a fantastically ugly and wonderfully functional sandal that fits like a dream and wears like iron. If you are one of those people who are fashion conscious these are most likely not the right piece of gear for you but if you need something you don't want to worry about in or out of water this is about as close as you can get to a perfect shoe. Kind of like a lot of things these days they are not cheap but you certainly do get what you pay for with Keen sandals.

The Keen Newport H2 is by far the best sport sandal I've ever tried. They are very comfortable, easy to clean and durable. The arch support is also great for city walking.

Perfect warm-weather all-round footwear -
The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. My only complaint is it is a struggle to get on. Maybe the back strap should be split with a velcro closure. But once nestled in my feet could not be happier or more secure. I'd wear these "sandals" -- the term doesn't begin to describe them -- on a boat deck, on a mountain, in a stream, to a party, to a museum, anywhere but a wedding or funeral.

Superior Water Sandal -
I live on the water and need a tough, comfortable sandal for wading and swimming, fishing, and boating. It needs to attach to the foot so as to stay on in mud and swift water, and have a non-marking non-skid sole. I have tried Tevas (perfect in concept but uncomfortable and too much trouble to get on and off) and Chacos (same problems plus too heavy), and others. I finally tried this Keen's Newport H2, and I pronounce it ideal. It is light, comfortable, stays on, and is practically a slip-on. (Just give the rear loop a pull to get into it.) It not only meets all of my water-use criteria, but it serves well for walking and hanging about. And while not exactly beautiful, it looks fine (and maybe a little cool) for casual wear.

Great sandals -
Wonderful sandals. I really like the look and appreciate that Keen finally is producing them in a reddish color for men. I like the covered toe and they are comfortable. I walked a couple of miles in them today and will need to build calluses in a couple of new spots.

Not for narrow feet -
If you look closely at the detail photos, you can see that the foam lining is a single, continuous layer underneath the tongue area and the sandal straps. When you cinch up the zip cord and the straps get drawn together, this foam lining has nowhere to go, so it wrinkles up and folds over itself - very noticeable in the first few paces walking around the house. If you have narrow feet like mine (B-C width), this is a deal breaker. Good news is that the Keen Laguna is very similar in price, style & fit (although it's leather), but the foam lining doesn't extend down the sandal straps - when you cinch up the cord, the straps overlap the tongue area and the foam doesn't bunch up at all.

These Keens are the worst pair of shoes I have ever owned. I've had them for a couple of years and they've worn well, but that's because I never use them. If you like walking with stones in your shoes, these Keens are for you. Better yet, save yourself some money and walk barefoot over rocks. Or maybe you like taking your shoes off every couple of minutes, because that's what you'll be doing to remove rocks and other debris that gets through the large slits in the shoes. If you want a shoe for hiking in and out of water, try one with mesh, they are a lot less aggravation.

More like a cult and less like the clan...
So here in the great Pacific Northwest it seems like you are born with a pair of these on your feet... I myself being from the South was used to barefeet and wearing flip-flops... I wasn't peer pressured into these by any means, and after a summer in a "fake Keen", let me just say that these live up to the hype... the grip is great, the fit is perfect and even though we just got our two days of spring before it went back to winter, I got to say that the sandals were fairly warm on even a brisk day... my vegan friends like the no leather option this pair also.
