Pleased except for the width...
I am very pleased with the 103 XCR except for the width. My pinky toe gets a bit irritated when I've worn the shoe for more than a few hours.

North Face's Ultra 103 XCR®
Zappos by far had the best price for these shoes and their shipping was extremely fast. I will definitely be coming back. As far as the shoes go, they are very comfortable and look great - although I recommend a thicker pair of socks if you have narrow feet like me.

Excellent fit and true to size. Very comfortable with plenty of room in the toebox with a firm fitting heel. As looks go, better than pictured.

Very Nice -
Love this shoe. I am writing this review after 3 days of heavy rain and my feet are completely dry when I get home at night. Very well made shoe. I have had them for over a month now and the construction is excellent. I noticed others were having trouble with the glue on the soles but mine seem to be bullet proof. I wear them everyday and work outside 10 hours a day feet stay dry and comfy. Highly recommended.

BEST GORE-TEX SHOE THAT I'VE TRIED YET!!!!
I work outdoors in seriously wet conditions and this shoe is a savior!!! I absolutely hate having wet feet and this took care of the problem. I finally found a shoe that truly doesn’t let water in while still letting your foot breathe! The tread is great, and the shoe is very comfortable!!!!! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY AND EVRYBODY WHO IS LOOKING FOR A QUALITY GORE-TEX SHOE!!!!

Stay away from North Face shoes -
These shoes are not very durable. I had frequent issues with the sole of the shoe separating from the shoe. Professional shoe repair glue couldn’t even fix it!

XCR's Rock off Road -
The shoes are fantastic...I hike my dog off road everyday. I love the stability, weight, and look. I usually wear New Balance 801-806's, but I think I found a new favorite.

Good looking sneakers but...
These are great looking sneakers and they are comfortable but do run a little big, nothing an extra insole won't fix. They are Gore-Tex so will keep your feet warm and dry. Ironically they are not slip resistant so be careful, I am in pretty good shape and almost fell on several occasions. I do not recommend you use these for running but they are great for walking and hiking.

Ultra 103 XCR -
Good shoe, little stiff at first, but now it’s great. Not too heavy, but very very warm. Gore-Tex is the way to go.

Rugged good looks -
I bought these for my husband because he wanted a pair of walking / hiking shoes that wouldn't get his feet wet. So far so good! The only "complaint" is that they have a lot of traction on the soles, maybe too much for everyday activities.

Takes some time to break-in -
The shoes took a good week to break-in and they are a little snug at the toes. Once broken-in though, they are extremely comfortable and warm.

Excellent shoe and service.
The shoe is very well built and has killer looks. It’s a bit heavy, so sprinting and high velocity running is out of the question...Trail running and general off road activities is what this shoe was built for... I was looking for a performance running and sprinting shoe, but couldn't find anything that appealed to me. But I'm also keeping these shoes for off road activities and all around "chilling"...Zappos has great service, large selection and fast delivery so I'll be checking their site often for new running shoes...

These shoes look great but are terrible to run in. Way too heavy. On top of that they really aren't that comfortable to stand in for long periods of time.

Tread separation is a problem -
I bought 2 pairs of these shoes (first one was too small but I kept it since they were scuffed). Terrible problem with the construction of both pairs. The toe cap started separating within 2 months on the first pair and the tread separated on both pairs within 4 months. And these were not worn for running, just working around the yard!

Shoe had a great fit and was very comfortable. However, the gore-tex lining was pretty much non existent. I wore them for work and just the dew in the morning had my feet soaked. I returned them.

Great shoe very comfortable and more waterproof than I expected. The tread is peeling away from the sole on the right shoe. I rate the shoe 5 stars for looks, comfort and durability but 3 stars workmanship.

Awesome Shoes -
These shoes are even better than I thought they would be. They are extremely comfortable and wear very easily. Please note that they do run a little large. I usually wear a 9 1/2 and I had to get a size 9. I give these shoes 5 stars.
