Great shoe - This shoe runs short, so order a size larger. It also tends to run a slight bit narrow. I wear a 9AA, so I purchased a 9.5AA and find it's a pretty good fit. The shoe is clunky and a little stiff, as others have stated, but I had no difficulty breaking them in. I bought them for step aerobics and the support they offer. They were comfortable from the start and I needed no break in period. I also use orthotics in my aerobics shoes and these fit very nicely with them.

Good Cross Trainer -
Good tennis shoes for anything. This is my 2nd pair. They are great and I was able to get them in a narrow. I wish you would carry all tennis shoes in narrow.

Hammer Toe comfort ay last!!!
Being in trouble with a hammer toe leaves few options for comfort. The 854 New Balance allows me to walk my German Shepherd, work out, and function with utmost comfort. Bought two pr. and am going to order a third. True to size, wide toe bed, and looks good! Zappos is the greatest... hard to find and quick service. Polite people who care about the customer.

Great stability!
I've got these shoes because I just started working out with step aerobics and found out just how important is to get the right pair of sneakers for your workout, the New Balance WX854 are great! I've got them in narrow and they fit perfectly and the stability they provide is the best, the only thing is that I wish they have more cushioning. Other than that, they're great and they look very nice. Of course the service with Zappos is the best, I don't buy shoes anywhere else and I found the guide on how to pick a pair of shoes very useful. Thank you sooo much Zappos.

Klunky Shoes -
I love New Balance. It is the only brand I wear.
I tried these shoes as cross trainers and find them very uncomfortable. They are klunky and hurt my feet after a short while.

I Love New Balance -
This shoe is excellent for supporting my back. New Balance is a terrific shoe and my foot doctor recommends them to all his patients. I prefer a rounder toe as it makes my size 10s look smaller, but this one was the only one I liked that offered EEEE width. It's a good looking shoe, too. And it was less than $100! Thanks, Zappos!!

Love this shoe -
After suffering with wearing a regular width and a narrow foot all my life, I thank you Zappos! This shoe is great for a narrow foot and the heel does not slip (which is hard to find). I am thinking about ordering another pair, since I bought this for working in a hospital and find myself wearing them all the time. As for being stiff I had now problem at all. The fit was great and there was break in period. Thank you Zappos! Order up a half size.

Clunky shoes -
These crosstrainers are very clunky. I purchased them to help with my overpronation, and for motion control. But these are so very clunky, it’s like I have concrete blocks strapped to my feet. These New Balance WX854 shoes didn't work for me.

Style above function -
I was replacing a pair of New Balance 925's and was looking for something a little more "stylish". I really like the like the look of the WX854 but they are not as comfortable. I have had a least 3 pairs of the 925's and will probably own more. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have found. The WX854's are overall pretty comfortable but if width in the toe box is important to you they might be a little too tight.

Great shoe!
I needed a comfortable shoe that would accommodate my wide feet - I live in NYC, so I'm always walking, and I'm a waitress, so I NEED good shoes. I really like these, they are very comfy, don't rub my bunions, and give me great stability, as I tend to pronate. I use these as my daily, running around town shoes, but I'll be using them for working out, too. They are not as pillowy as the Saucony I usually buy, but I find that these have a lot more structure for my feet, which I am really liking. I will definitely buy this shoe again!!!

With a 9N foot, there aren't too many choices. This shoe felt more comfortable after wearing it a while. It does hold your foot in a very stable position. This felt odd at first, but I think it does help.

Nice supportive shoe -
Got these to help me with my plantar fasciitis. Between these and acupuncture I am now walking without a limping! Very comfortable and cute. Had to kind of break in though but I love them.

These are great shoes. I have flat feet, so they feel great with my arch insert. Also, very stable in the heel area. I love them!

I like the look of these shoes. Good cushion. I ordered my usual size and they are too narrow for me. I think it is because they have a smaller toe box compared to similar shoes.

The best work shoe in the world -
Even though this shoe was kinda of pricy, I had bought it before and so I knew what it felt like. If you are standing or walking for your job, this is the shoe for you. You do not even think about your feet until the day is over.

High Energy Jazzercise Enthusiast with wide feet says Hooray -
I have just ordered my second pair of this shoe. I attend about 7 Jazzercise classes and an occasional Zumba class every week and these shoes provide outstanding support for my feet. They have room for my ortho inserts. They held up to support my foot for longer than any other shoe I have worn. I really need the extra support technology that NB provides with this shoe. Thank you NB and thanks to Zappos for easy ordering!

Awesome shoe!
I have very low arches, weak ankles prone to twisting and I pronate. These are the first cross trainers I have found that give me the lateral stability I need to avoid twisting and aching arches. I did insert extra arch support, but I haven't found an athletic shoe yet that gives adequate arch support on its own. This shoe is definitely for the gym, floor work, aerobics, etc, NOT for walking or running. But it's a cross trainer, not a running shoe. I found the shoe to be true to my size, 9N. I will definitely buy this shoe again!

Not Happy With This Shoe -
This shoe does not compare with previous New Balance worn for walking. It is entirely too stiff. There is no give in the sole. It's like walking with a board strapped to your foot. Very disappointed.

I wear my shoes for Jazzercise and these are wonderful. The first night I wore them, I thought they might me a bit stiff compared to my Nikes and Avias. By the second night, I was surprised to see how great they felt.

Too tight -
This shoe felt rigid and unyielding. The heel is hard, and it almost felt like straps were binding the ball of the foot, the place where I need the most room. I will have to return them.

I originally bought these shoes for Plantar Fasciitis. This is a severe affliction that affects a lot of people that are on their feet all day long. I could not have picked a better shoe. Not only did it help with my affliction but it has helped in making my feet pain free.

More narrow across the toes than expected -
I normally wear a "Wide" width, but needed to order "Extra Wide" for these so my toes weren't squeezed in.
