It's a good kind of shoes. My child has a prescribed orthotic insert and this one works great.

Great school uniform shoes -
This is a great shoe! A bit pricey but worth it as it is so hard to find a plain white shoe for a school uniform. Will definitely buy another pair for the next school year.

The shoe is well made, my son says they are comfortable, and he enjoys not having to ask others to tie them. So far, they are enduring the playground activities great.

velcro in big kid size - great school shoes!
Our Catholic school requires ALL WHITE shoes and they are hard to find. The big plus with these shoes are that they are velcro. Easy on for a school morning and no floppy, sloppy, unkempt dangling laces.

Black uniform tennis shoe -
This shoe fell apart after 4 months. The velco split and the bottom is thin and wore holes in them.

All White Sneakers-
It's not easy finding all white sneakers with velcro. My son is autistic and not able to tie, I was so happy when I finally found what I needed at Zappos. Please don't stop carrying them. Thank you for making my job easier.

Do not use for a school shoe -
We bought these for our son because he had to have an all white velcro shoe for school. The first semester is almost over and the shoes already look so bad, despite our trying to clean them, that we are embarrased to allow him to wear them to school. The top velcro tab is tearing and overall, these shoes now look terrible.

Kids' Velcro shoe-
My son can only wear Velcro shoes and so we were thrilled to find that Stride Rite makes larger kids' sizes in Velcro. Although the shoes look nice and my son likes them, they don't seem to be holding up well and are already starting to tear around the toe area.

Easy On & Off; Great Toddler shoe!
We love this shoe! The velcro allows for easy off & on, and the white leather is easy to clean up. Great fit & quality from Stride Rite!

Stride Rite's Austin Hook and Loop are perfect for school!
This is a great pair of shoes for school. They are all white and look great. All white velcro sneakers are hard to find and these are just perfect!

Comfy and durable -
My 7-YO son LOVES these. Come to think of it, he has grown up wearing nothing BUT Stride Rite shoes. He is a very active boy, so these shoes take a beating, and take it well. They have a flexible sole and he says they're comfortable -- I like how durable they are; well worth the price.

My Son's Favorite Shoe -
These shoes are great. My son loves them. He has to wear black shoes for school as part of his uniform and refuses to wear any shoes but these.
The Velcro makes it easy for him to take them off and put them on, and they look nice not only with school clothes, but with dress-up clothes as well!

I buy this shoe as a substitute for the gym shoe required by the private school my son attends. It is available in wide width and it is long lasting. The previous pair still looks good but since my son's feet grew, he can no longer wear them.

Great shoe for autistic kids -
My autistic son can't tie shoes, so the hook & loop straps make it convenient for him. They're also well made so they can take a beating! A good buy.

Just Right !
I had been looking for school-required white, athletic shoes for my grandson in kindergarten. Zappos had the answer! There aren't many all white ones out there for boys. The service was superb - arriving early ! The shoe fits exactly, and a 6 year old and his grandma are happy !

Can't Tie? No Problem!
I love that this shoe is available in such a wide range of sizes. My son has Autism, does not like change, and has a wide foot. This shoe is available as he grows so his shoe always "looks the same" as he grows AND no tying required! Boys move fast! Proud he can do himself! Great year-round school shoe (boy or girl).

My son has a wide foot, and I can never find a true W width before but these are great, comfortable, perfect fit and nice looking. My daughter is SO difficult to buy shoes for. Every single pair is too tight somewhere or uncomfortable in the sole or feels weird. (Yes, she is also bothered by tags and textures of clothing). And given that she is SO active, we desperately needed velcro. These shoes are the one and only pair after dozens tried that she liked. Stride Rite, PLEASE keep making these shoes!!!!! She LOVES them and both she and I are thrilled. She says they are SO comfortable.
