Great shoe. Comfortable and very well made/sturdy. Slightly (less than 1/2 size) larger than marked, which is fine even with thin socks. Mainly a slightly large toe box. Perfect fit when wearing thicker socks for long distance walking (recommend smartwool socks; they're great).

I have a high instep and a very wide foot. I have tender feet, especially the bottom of the metatarsal arch and the toenails of both big toes. This shoe is comfortable right out of the box despite my personal issues. It is wide enough and there is plenty of volume in the toe of the shoe to avoid placing any pressure on the nail. The sole can be a bit slick on smooth, wet surfaces.

Nice looking but uncomfortable -
There is something about the insert upon which your foot rests that is very uncomfortable - it's like walking on a lot of tiny bumps. Also found the feel of the shoe hard rather than cushioney when you walk. It was the only pair I brought to Paris for a week, figuring they were Rockports, and new, so they'd be good. They are uncomfortable and boy are my feet sore after walking all over Paris for 7 days.

This is my second pair of this shoe and I'm about to order a third, more dressier style. I need a narrow shoe (B) and Zappos is the only place I can get exactly what I need. This shoe fits perfect, it's light and very comfortable. Also, many of the Rockport shoes have removable insoles which allows for fitting special inserts. And with Zappos I avoid the hassle of going from mall to mall trying to find the right size and fit. Returning a shoe is much easier than I expected. You can print a free return label provided by Zappos by email and return it in the same box it came in. Zappos handles it all.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: For shoes, I tend to stick with Rockport. Comfort is most important.

These shoes are the only ones my husband wears to work; he has both brown and black. As a professor, he spends a lot of time on his feet and does a lot of walking each day on a college campus and these shoes hold up in quality, comfort, and looks. He has worn the same style for years and they are well worth the price.

This is my fourth or fifth pair of this shoe style from Rockport. (The first pair might not have been called "World Tour", but were very similar in style.) My office is "business casual" and I wear these nearly every day. The best feature is they are comfortable out of the box. (It does seem the leather is now stiffer.) They have proven to be reasonably durable, though because I sit at a desk most of the day I don't often put them to hard use. A few years back I purchased a pair of Mephistos of a very similar style for about three times the price. They were comfortable, and perhaps a little more stylish, but within a year they fell apart at the seams. I went back to the Rockports. I get about 3 years out of the Rockports, before they wear down at the heel to the point they need to be replaced. At that point the rest of the shoe is still in pretty good shape. They might not have the most durable sole for extended use on concrete or other abrasive surface, but a more durable sole probably would not be as comfortable.

I have very narrow feet and have a difficult time getting a shoe to fit; 10.5 with AA heel and a B width. I had been getting by OK with the Clarks Portland style, however they seem just a little wide. The Rockport shoe fit well but seems to run a half size small. This was no problem since the shoes are returnable free with no hassle.

I wear only Rockport shoes, and the World Tour Elite is the only shoe I will buy. I am on my feet a lot and these shoes provide excellent comfort all day long. I find they run true to size. I just wish there were shoes that are as good as Zappos service. If there were shoes that good, I would be walking on a cloud. I have purchased my last three pair from Zappos. I won't go anywhere else. Service is correct, fast, and has been free. I hope that part continues. Thank you, Zappos!

Unfortunately the Rockport shoes I really wanted were no longer available--they were a slightly dressier version of the World Tour Elite-Encounter. But these are as comfortable as my earlier Rockports from day one. I travel to Europe a lot and they are particularly good for walking on cobble-stoned streets/uneven surfaces, etc. Just wish they weren't quite so casual looking.

My husband has a wide foot with a high arch--he also was told by our physician to wear a shoe with a steel shank for better support. This shoe works for him because it is wide enough to wear with his own orthotics and seems to have enough internal support to be comfortable wearing all day. (His job sometimes requires him to stand for along periods of time, usually on a concrete floor.) This looks pretty fashionable compared to most support shoes, and that\'s a plus, since my spouse wears them with business casual attire.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: My husband also has a pair of Propet and a pair of Drew shoes. We have found that the New Balance wides are still too narrow for comfort.

This is my second pair of World Tours. I wear them 5 days a week and the previous pair was wearing on the inside although the outside was still ok. I have a narrow foot and buy the narrow width. They are not as narrow as I would like, probably closer to a C than a B. I usually end up using padded inserts after they are done stretching. Length is fine. I wear these for business casual and they are great for traveling as they suffice for business during the day and pleasure on nights & weekends.

These shoes are very comfortable. I wear prescription orthotics and those fit into the shoes nicely. I just returned from a business trip that involved a lot of walking and noted that these shoes looked very good with business casual wear and were comfortable all day and evening. The finish makes minor scuffs and dirt harder to notice, as opposed to a dress shoe, something I appreciate when traveling.

These say they have fiberlon shanks but, the pair I just wore have steel shanks and I now can't use them for work. I have to go through security all the time.

Looks good, walks well...
I bought this shoe to replace a much older pair of Rockports. I'm a 4E width and pronate, both make a challenge out of finding office-appropriate, comfortable shoes. Happily, the WTE delivers on looks and comfort, with very firm support as well. I give the look 4 stars only because it's not a showy shoe; it's very classy and perfectly appropriate for my office. I will be adding an additional pair soon.

Another great purchase!
I’ve worn this pair of shoes to work four days a week for the last 6 weeks or so and they’ve been great. I am on my feet a lot, walking from one end of our plant to the other and have had no discomfort. The shoe looks great with Dockers and can be worn with jeans for casual Fridays. The Rockport brand has proven to be a comfortable, quality fit for me. This is the fourth different model of Rockports that I’ve purchased and have been happy with all of them. The selection is good, the price is reasonable and the Zappos.com customer service is terrific. It’s a great combination.

Looks nice for casual office wear... dress shirt, dark pants & you've got to have dark shoes! I got these in black and they are comfortable... I put them on my favorites list for quick re-order when this pair wears out.

Shoes were true to size and comfortable. I usually have a problem with heel slippage due to thin ankles. These grip my heel very well. After a half day of walking when new, they felt fully broken in. I had to replace the cushion insole due to my own arch support needs. No regrets.

Work and dress footwear -
My job entails working on a tourist train for a 14 hour work day. I wear a suit but I'm often in dirtier work conditions. The job entails a great deal of walking as well as up and down on narrow and winding stairs while the train is rocking along the track. I needed a shoe that was light but strong, that would look OK to wear with a suit and that would stand up under adverse conditions. This is not the dressiest looking shoe in the world but it fits my needs very well.

Very comfortable, fit perfectly with no break-in needed. I'm on my feet a lot and walk a lot in my job and need a show that looks good with casual to lightly dressy slacks and this shoe fits the bill on all counts. The service from Zappos is first rate!

This shoe runs narrow compared to the World Tour Classic. Also the laces are so short it is very difficult to tie them. The length was good maybe 1/4 shorter than size listed.
