This is my first pair of climbing shoes, bought on the recommendation of a friend. I normally wear a 6.5 women\'s shoe, and bought a 5.5 Mythos. I probably could have gone a half size smaller. The shoes themselves are great, they do get a bit uncomfortable after long climbing sessions but not nearly as bad as some others I\'ve worn. I would definitely buy the Mythos again!

Women's Mythos -
These shoes are perfect for vertical heels. If you ever find that your heel never seems to fill out your climbing shoe's heel correctly, then you've probably got vertical heels like me. These shoes are great because they form to your feet so their like a second skin. They’re not that high performance, but they smear awesome and heel-hook great. These shoes will be perfect for you if you're looking for a comfortable, natural-feeling shoe that performs moderately well. They're also kinda' narrow, but the unlined leather stretches a lot so it shouldn't be a problem. Plus the lace behind the heel thing is great if you've got small heels.

Comfortable shoe -
These shoes are snug but not binding. They heel can be cinched up with the lacing the wrap around the back without bothering my Achilles tendon giving a snugger fit in the heel. This shoe fit all the criterion I wanted in a climbing shoe and then some and didn't break my budget. Note that these Mythos are slightly narrow to fit a women's foot. I tried the unisex version on as well and almost bought them for the wider width.

Now I love climbing even more!
I just started climbing recently and have only had one pair of climbing shoes prior to the Mythos. They were so uncomfortable and I hated wearing them so when I put on the Mythos I was so surprised and excited to have a shoe with a precise, snug fit that was actually comfortable! My climbing is improving so much faster since I am willing to wear this shoe much longer than the other one! I wear and 8 1/2 in dress shoes and ordered the 39 in this shoe.

These shoes rock!
I have been climbing with La Sportiva Mythos for 5 years (several different pairs of course!). I find that they are comfortable enough to wear all day or on long multi-pitch climbs, but also perform well when delicate footwork is needed. I wear a solid 9 women's shoe and I climb in 39.5 mythos.

The shoes completely fit the description. They are very comfortable compared to other climbing shoes. You can adjust the shoe to the shape of your foot, which is great. Honestly, if you are looking for good climbing shoes, get these or FIVEtEN Anasazi.

 |  | I just wanted to say how much I love Zappos and your customer service. I recently had an order of 4 pairs of shoes. I knew if they didn't work out I could return them without any problems or questions. Luckily I liked all the shoes. But best of all you shipped them all in one large box which was really convenient because I didn't have to wait for 4 shipments.
