I appreciated your customer service staff telling me that the foot bed on the Feigin was the same as on an older style, namely, the Nil Tramp. I have many foot problems and the Nil Tramp is the very best for me but I'm going to try the Feigin this fall. I would prefer a lower heel, like on the Nil Tramp.

My feet love these. Very pretty on. Note that a 42 is really a US Size 11 (not a 12, as listed on the site).

Mephisto Feigin - Not Your Momma's -
I had an older pair that I used to walk all over Italy. When these came out, I was so excited - but they are just not the same shoe. The feel and comfort are like a cheaper copy - I hardly wear this pair.

Sooo comfortable!
I love these shoes, I just bought a second pair! They are perfect for the cooler months in Florida where we can go “almost barefoot” year around. They offer arch support, just the right heel height and are so comfortable. I will always keep a pair and a spare in my closet plus a pair on my feet!

Not like before -
I have two of these from many years ago. I finally found them again here at Zappos and bought them. I had to return them for they were far from the same. The old pairs I have gave excellent support both with the whole foot feel and arch. This new one has NONE. For the price it is not worth it.

Pretty but painful -
I was very disappointed because I have this style in 2 pairs from several years ago and was waiting for it to be revived so I could buy at least 2 more pairs. The manufacturer has changed the footbed so there are now ridges under the toes and arch. The ridge under the toes was not painful, but the ridge under the arch made them unwearable. Also, the arch support was poor in this newer version. I'm returning both the black and the tan pair and will continue to wear my old ones even though they're very tired.

Typical Mephisto -
Great quality as usual and very cushy on the foot yet with support. My left pinky toe isn't very happy, but overall it is a great shoe from Mephisto. The heel is brown and I like that instead of black.

Beautiful, comfortable and good looking shoe. Like it so much I bought another pair in a different color. I thought the ridges in the footbed by the toes and on one foot by my arch was going to bother me, but they gave and these are turning into my favorite shoes for my tired flat feet.

These shoes look great on, but I have a very flat foot and found them to not give the support my other styles of Mephisto do.

Great Shoe!
I am currently wearing the shoe because of its comfort and style. Having to work with neuropathy in my feet, I search for comfortable shoes. This is a winner!

I ordered these because I have Mephistos and love them, and loved the look of these; however there was too much material for my feet. The length and width of the shoe felt right, but it didn't hug my foot the way it would need to in order for me to walk in them.

Perfect and Functional -
I needed shoes for a new part-time job in retail that requires lots of walking. I have knee and back problems, and this shoe is the only one that allows me both a stylish look and comfort during my entire shift. Also, although not made for an orthodic, the shoe accommodates mine (in a larger size than I measure). I am totally delighted and will by others in this style.
