I am a Journeyman Tree Trimmer in Oregon. These boots beat the pants off of the Wescos that I have been climbing in for 14 years. I can’t even feel my hooks through these boots... fanastic! The only problem I have encountered is that the stitching started to come out, but I simply laid super glue on it and the problem is fixed.

Good fit! Normally wear a 9-9-1/2 size but had to buy the 9.5-10 size. A little break in period necessary. I have only hikes less that 10 miles in them; however, but I really like them so far.

This boot is the best fitting boot out the box that I have ever had. Brake in period was very short. The ankle support is the best ever. Fire fighting is an all day job and your boot is your office. Glaciers boots are those boots.

These boots are super comfortable, easy break in- no blisters. Good flex for downhill hiking without sacrificing support on sides of ankle. Great in snow and mud- warm enough for winter fishing, everything I hoped for.

Nice Boots -
These boots are surprisingly versatile. The only negative I have so far is the cheap, thin insert that comes with the boots. You'll be much more comfortable with superfeet or anything similar inside. The boot is fairly stiff, which is good for light/general mountaineering. It can be used on day hikes (but would be on the heavy side) without a problem. They are very crampon compatible and offer a lot of support. It is a nice balance of all things and can be used for everything from yard work to 45 degree icy glacier slopes. They are much more comfortable than plastic boots, so if your feet run hot, they are a nice alternative in the lower mountains.
