Too small!
I ordered 1/2 a size larger than my regular size 10. These felt more like a 9. Since they don't have anything larger than 10.5, I guess I will have to look for something else.

Hiking shoe for Alaska vacation -
I love these shoes. I thought I would wear them around the house to "break them in". No break in needed. They are comfortable and worked out great for hiking on glaciers and trails in Alaska.

Surprisingly comfortable -
I usually wear a wide shoe (C), but with a well made shoe with a decent toebox, I can wear a med width. When I ordered these, I expected to need lots of break in time - especially if I wore them with hiker's socks. These were surprisingly comfortable right out of the box! Nice arch support. As other reviewers suggested, I ordered a 1/2 size up. Perfect! Only grumble - the colors are less vibrant than shown on the website.

I was looking for a shoe that I could wear as a tennis shoe or for hiking through the woods. This shoe is very light and comfortable and I am satisfied with the price and the shoe.

Great shoes!!!
I needed a comfortable, lightweight shoe, and these are great! They have kept my feet warm in freezing cold temps and the tread has proven great in slushy/icy situations. I bought a second pair because they are so comfortable!

A little narrow -
The shoe looks good and feels good, everywhere but in the toe box. It seemed a little narrow and short there. I have other Columbia shoes that fit great, so I'll try them again.

My favorite shoe -
I have had a pair of these exact hikers for over three years now. I wear them almost everyday all day. I have major issues with comfort and these are the only shoes I can wear without a complaint. I am working on my second pair because I wore the originals out… Excellent product for all weather.

2nd pair -
Just received my second pair of these great shoes. The old pair I still wear for work or muddy hikes, the new pair is back up when the first pair finally has out lived it's use, which won't be for awhile yet!! I love this shoe, period. Super comfy, no break in time, like butter baby!! Have never had a Columbia item I didn't like!

Great Hiking Shoe!
I ordered this hiking shoe because I usually hike on relatively level ground and on easy trails and therefore don't always need to use my heavy-duty ugly hiking boots. These fit the bill. I've only worn them once but they're cute, for a hiking shoe, and are very comfortable and have great grip. My only complaint is that the left shoe rubbed on my big toe a little, but that could probably be solved by my getting some padded hiking socks.

I love these shoes! They felt comfortable from the first time I put them on. I get a half-a-size larger in Columbias. You won't go wrong with these shoes!

This is a pretty well made shoe. Not too heavy, my narrow heel doesn't slip or rub and its nice and roomy around your toes. I wear a size 5 and have a hard time finding a comfortable walking shoe. It could use a little more arch support but I could say the same about the more expensive Merrills. The insole's not bad but I might replace it. Overall a pretty good value for the price.

I ordered these hikers fully expecting them to be too small. I was pleasantly surprised! I found them to be true to size (12M) and extremely comfortable! I went on an 8 mile hike the day after I got them and they were perfect!

Columbia Trail Meister Hiking Boots -
These boots are super comfortable, lightweight and have good traction. Especially good for hiking on trails. Not sure how good they would be for cross country and steep terrain as a person would need ankle support for that type of travel.

Great shoe.
I bought these shoes for light hiking. The have a wide foot bed and fit like a tennis shoe. They did not rub or need to be "broken-in", but they aren't a snug enough fit for serious hiking or backpacking. Great for light day hikes.

These shoes felt great. I ordered them for a recent hiking trip and they didn't even need to be broken in. I hiked 16 miles and no blisters, feet didn't get tired, etc. Thanks Zappos for another stress free purchase. Fast shipment as well. Ordered at 5 pm one day, received them by 5pm the next day.

Extremely comfortable and a perfect fit!

Nice hiking/ walking hybrid -
Tried many different kinds of light hikers and these were the most comfortable. I can probably even wear them barefoot if I wanted. Got them in tusk/summit blue and they go with everything. I think they will be perfect for a summer trip to Europe with hiking in the Alps and walking or running around town too. My only nitpicks are that I could use a little more arch support (but I have high arches) and I wish the shoelaces were a bit longer, as I had to loosen the lacing. Zappos' shipping service has been AMAZING -- wow!

This is the one ...
Trail Meister is a lightweight yet sturdy shoe, just perfect for the trail walking we plan this summer in Israel. I wanted a light, vented mesh upper with a good sole for this trip and Trail Meister is it. I don't think they are supposed to be waterproof but I got caught in a downpour and was amazed to have dry feet once we finally made it to shelter.
I ordered a half size larger to accommodate 3/4 length orthotics and the fit is divine. I’ve been wearing them everywhere to make sure there are no little surprises before the big trip, and now I reach for them before my sneakers. At the end of the day I have much less leg fatigue and foot pain than with other shoes.
All props to Zappos for fine service - it is the norm, not the exception for them and that's why I come back again and again.
I’m a big fan of Columbia boots and these do not disappoint. The colors are just perfect, too.
