Great Shoe BUT runs very small -
Usually take a 12 Wide but that size was too tight, including the length. Had to go to a 13 since there were no more half sizes above 12 and no wide. 13 fit perfectly. Very odd for J&M but the shoe is great.

Attractive casual shoe but tight fit -
Liked the shoe but it definitely has a snug fit. Although the squared off front suggests that it has plenty of room there, I found it a bit constraining. I think it's that the height of the shoe is a bit less than usual, so there's not a lot of room for your toes. If it had fit, I'd definitely have kept the shoe.

Wildly Comfortable!
Unbelievable, right out of the box! These mocs are my very favorite casual; I find myself reaching first for them...every time. You'll do exactly what I did when I tried these on for the first time: wear them all day, sigh when you finally have to take them off, and throw away the rest of your "comfort" shoes. Impeccably made, true to size, and far less expensive than other quality brand names.

Usually when arriving home from a day of heavy walking I would anxiously kick off my shoes.
Not so with the J&M Tidwell. I just leave them on. They feel like comfy bedroom slippers. Especially appreciate the arch support.

Ordered the shoe at 3 p.m. EST, was at my doorstep at 2 P.M. the following day, excellent! Nice shoe, very comfy, did not have EE in my size, ordered half size bigger and fits nicely. If this was made in black, I would get that too!

This shoe was exactly what I had been looking for. A casual and comfortable shoe that looked good enough to wear with trousers and sport shirt or even a sport coat. One thing that is misleading is that the color is listed as black and brown when it is actually black and cordovan.

Great looking shoe, well constructed. I receive many good compliments. Only negative, is that the insole on left foot is about 1/2 inch too short in front which left a space that irritates my toes. Since I did not discover this until I wore the shoe to the Virgin Islands and had to do a lot of walking, I did not feel comfortable returning them. So I am stuck with trying to find a gel sole that will fit.

I don't have wide feet, but shoe is too narrow to wear. I'm not sure how much it will break in or stretch. Also J&M must offer this shoe model in numerous versions. This came in a Coffee Waxed leather. In retail stores I have seen a Coffee leather (unwaxed), much like the J&M styles from 6-10 years ago.

Very soft and casual -
Wearing this shoe is like walking on sponges--which can be great in some circumstances (lounging around), less so in others (say, for covering a lot of city sidewalk). It's very casual looking--a bit too much so for business wear, but fine otherwise. Overall, a nice shoe.

I purchased an all Brown pair and a Brown/Black comb pair of Johnson & Murphy's Tidwell Kiltie Tassel shoes. I normally wear a 9.5 and found that the 9.5 was approx 1/2 size to large. I had to reorder both pairs in a 9 and they fit great. I love the fit, the style & the look. Great quality shoe for the cost. I'd purchase them again!

Good casual shoe -
I was looking for a mixed brown/black casual and this has filled the bill on that count. For travel you can bring either color belt and be covered. The leather is top notch and the lining very high quality, not just some glued down pad. I am a little disappointed in the fit however. I have wide feet and was led to believe that this was actually wide. It is not. It is wide compared to narrow not to normal, so I have been stubbornly trying to break them in. Also be aware that this is a totally flexible sole, very little support. This is basically moccasin construction similar to a casual boat shoe. So don't think this is going to be structured in any way.
Sizing is true, other than the width complaint and the color it’s very pleasing. Overall this is a very attractive shoe.

The shoes are comfortable 5 minutes after you put them on, as are almost J & M shoes. My only negative is they seem to be a little on the hot side. Wish that they breathed a little better, but I'll keep buying them every chance I get.

I am a size 10.5. Based upon what I read the other guy who said it was 1/2 too small I ordered the 11. I could have ordered the 10.5 as the 11 feels too big. I had to insert supports to stop the shoe from slipping.
But the shoe feels great and so comfortable.
