I grew up in CA, when I was old enough to know what the trend was I always wanted a pair of Vans. So when I could afford a pair I got some. Liked them from then on forward. Then I moved to KS could never find them anywhere. Till I got internet. They now have some in KS but they have all the drawings on them. I’m 37 yrs. and I like the old school. Thank you.

Love these shoes! But on some colors, like white and tan, the back part is really thin so it is impossible to get them on without untying.

Too small and uncomfortable -
I bought my usual size and found them a half size too small. I thought I could get away with it but after huge blisters on both heels I doubt I will be able to break these in. For me these will be a total loss as I already had them on outside once.

Great Fit, Look, & Price -
This is my second pair of boat shoes. First I bought the canvas Sperry Top-Siders. These might even be more comfortable than the Sperry’s. They are quite comfortable for just canvas shoes, they look great, and $45 is not too much to ask for. And duh, free shipping is awesome. You won't be disappointed. Run true to size.

I would highly recommend the Vans Authentic Classics to anyone. They are extremely comfortable. They are also very attractive. It’s nice to know that Zappos carries size 12.

These are your standard old school vans. I bought black on black. Great biking shoes. I need to get some insoles though as the arch support is non-existent.

These shoes are awesome and I love them. The first day I got them I wore them and they looked really cute, but I was walking around in them and it hurt my heel really bad. So beware!!!

I look hot with these shoes -
They are comfortable and look great… at least on me!!! If you are thinking twice, DON'T! You will be glad you got them! I have had no problem and wish I had them in all colors!!! They look great with everything, too!!! Jeans and shorts… sooo GET THEM!!!

Simple, comfortable, look great... that about sums up the Vans Core Classic. No fancy bells or whistles, just a plain shoe that is stylin' all over the place...

Timeless classic -
What you see is what you get, no surprises.
The fit and comfort are excellent. The laces give these Vans a more mature look than the classic slip on without sacrificing that clean look. I think they look best with jeans that fall just above the third eyelet.
For this price the quality is more than expected...Enjoy!

Ladies white Vans Classics -
Had to order twice to get the right size, they run larger than normal. I enjoy the younger look vs. the Keds white sneaker look. However, hard to wear low cut socks because they slip off on the heel, I know the look is sockless, but don't want the sweat to make my feet stink, which I remember so well back in the 80's when we all wore them sockless!

Called authentics for a reason -
Forget all you've heard from wimps complaining about Vans hurting. Well what do you expect from awesome board feel. Waffle grip is the best thing that’s ever happened to shoes. Suck up the minimal pain or add an extra sole (just get a bigger size). They also rip from the grip tape since the shoes are made of canvas...so if you get any holes, duct tape is a good idea. In fact duct tape provides a pretty good layer after the original canvas completely rubbed down either way, cheap shoes, you don't hafta skate in em if you don't want to, that'll last a few years.

Sacrifice for simplicity?
I love the simplicity of these shoes, with the solid colors it’s easy to match with clothes. However, they crease quite easily if you're not careful and to be honest the comfort isn't anything special. But don't get me wrong, these shoes are awesome.
